Someone as lazy as me cannot spend more than 5 minutes learning about something and you said it with such simple grammar that I can actually understand unlike another other videos thanks
It’s amazing how I spent a whole 90 minute lecture trying to figure out which was which and then just watching a short video and understanding everything.
motion : change in position wrt time speed : distance / time velocity : speed w/direction acceleration: change in speed and/or direction ( sounds like speeding up , but incl slowing down as well 👻
speed - the rate at which an object changes position = distance/time instantaneous speed - the speed of something in that instant: shows on car speed gauge average speed - the average speed of an object calculated after its reached its destination velocity - speed with direction (74m/h east) acceleration - rate at which velocity changes = distance/time^2. changing velocity = acceleration. doesn’t have to speed up
You'd think that would be true but no apparently, if your in a college physics class that explanation would make you miss questions on an exam because velocity isn't as simple as that. Velocity = displacement/time , NOT distance. Distance is the measurement of how far something has travelled, Displacement is when an object moves from one point to another and does not care what comes in between. To fact check this for a problem like Joe travelled 10m east then doubled back 2m west to reach his house calculate velocity/speed. For speed the equation would be speed= 12m/time , and for velocity it would be velocity=8m/time. 12m and 8m are not the same. Because displacement does not care that you travelled 10m east then 2m west, it only cares that you got to 8m from your starting point. This is what I was told and I keep seeing videos contradict this. Idk if im wrong or what.
Idk if im just wrong b/c im in college and when it comes to velocity its more complicated than just speed with direction. In my class they say its specifically displacement over time and displacement isnt the same as distance. Distance is the measurement how far something has traveled while displacement is when an object moves from one location to another. So you travel 10 m east then double back 2 m west , in terms of distance it would be 12 m but for displacement it would be 8m. That is what I am being taught and I feel confused because when you go to input that into equations they are different. Speed = distance/time , Velocity = displacement/time. With the case of 10m east then 2m west that would effect the overall averages and definitely would not be just distance/ time + direction for velocity. Because if that would be the case it would just be 12m east like you said which isnt true, or for my case +/- denote a direction on an axis and it would be a total velocity of 12m which would be to the right on the x-axis 12m, but in actuality it is 10m right then 2m left which gives you a displacement of 8m which effects the equations and instead of 12m/h for the total trip it would be 8m/h? Idk that is along the lines of what im being taught and it gets confusing.
I have my science exams for my 3rd quarter in 1 hour and 30 minutes and I only have time to review now so this extremely helps thanks for making this video!
@@innalemarichavan258 1. my comment was about a year ago. 2. I give credit where it's due as this video helped me ace my 3rd quarter Science exam and 3. I don't remember asking you for your opinion.

Really sir it was so amazing lecture,, I am student of fsc I knew about speed velocity and acceleration just definition but know sir you make my concept sir bundle of tnx and also sir go a little bit in details
This was better than the 1 hour explanation In my classroom thank you!!!
Sometimes less is more.
14 hour*
ik right
i stop paying attention after 1min of my teacher talking :P
@@2MC u r right
this 2 minute vid has explained more than a whole month of physics, thanks
(btw nice moustache)
You're so welcome!!
And thanks for the compliment 🥰
Agree
2 semesters with physics, and i couldnt find yet a teacher like you.
I'm sorry you have had such bad luck, but I'm glad you found my channel and that it helped.

So.......
1) rate of change of distance=speed
2)rate of changecof speed=velocity
3)rate of change of velocity=acceleration
Yes! Excellent summation!

2. The rate of change of speed in respect to a direction since its a vector quantity
Nice
@@ngwemildred7847 Exactly what I was thinking. I'm surprised the 2 minute teacher didn't catch it.
Rate of change speed with direction is not velocity......final change in distance with direction is velocity

Glad I could help.
i love how you explained 3 lessons in 2 minutes rather than needing 3 50 minute sessions thank you so much for this
Thanks for making it easier, I can't believe I understand it in two minutes more than I understand it in the classroom

No shame in not knowing the difference. Glad I could help clarify things.
I'd been trying to understand what acceleration is for some time. With your quick guide, I could understand it within minutes.Thank You! 😊
THANK YOU. So many TH-cam videos explained velocity as speed
Science was so confusing for me before, and two hour semesters arent any help, but this short video increased my grades by 10% :D
My teacher hates me because I don’t understand well but this video made me understand thx!
The text books just make it hard and hours of understanding but you make it easy to learn in two minutes
