    I saw the title of this video and thought “oh no not another RV tips and tricks video with the same old tips”. Boy was I wrong - you guys had some great ideas in this video and most of them were new to us. We found our selfs at the store today buying Command Strip hooks for our window blinds. You solved a problem I been looking for a solution for a while. Thanks guys.

    All good ideas. We added self-stick 6X9 mirror tiles in our curved-back overhead cabinets, gas struts to the bathroom overhead cabinet door, and rechargeable LED light strips to wardrobes. Thanks

    Hi Thank you for sharing. Here is another tip from a fellow Airstreamer. In between camping trips you can prevent a musty odor in your refrigerator by putting a container with Damp Rid in the refrigerator and closing the door. Of course some might say, just leave the door open, but when you sometimes have trouble with mice getting in your RV, keeping the fridge door closed is nice.

      Better yet, when not in use leave the door(s) open.

    I took teeny tiny screws and dollar store plastic
    white hooks and hung my curtain bar up
    ,i also used tent poles as my curtain bars for now just cut the cord so you can adjust to the size you need.

    These are all great hacks. We just started using #6 - the ice pads in the fridge during travel days. Safe travels!

      Since we never run the fridge while traveling, the ice packs really help to keep our food cool on our longer travel days. Safe travels guys

    Unbeknownst to me, my cosmetic bag fell back behind the bathroom cabinet wall and I was going crazy trying to figure out what I did with it (gaslighting myself). Had to buy new makeup and brushes, etc. I kept on thinking it through and finally figured out where it was (after two months)! Great hack and will be doing this next trip!

    You can buy foam pipe insulation instead of the noodle. It already has the slit. Just cut to size

    Genius tip about using Command Hooks for the window shades! 👏🥳
    Lisa, great hack with the pizza stone in the oven. The 15”x12” is the size you’re using?
    I like the a/c vent hack too. Very clever. Well done and presented. 🚀🦩

    • @thewrightlife
      @thewrightlife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How about this: I own an Airstream Flying Cloud 30 FB bunk. I have been looking since I bought it for a touchpad entry. There is nothing offered by Airstream and no after market product that works without modification to the door and strike. So I designed and built one. It works way better than I thought and I'm considering marketing it. Any chance you folks would give it a review? I'd only want an honest one.

    Using command hooks & rods you can also hang sheer curtains that will let the light in, and also give you privacy.

    Please provide more information on the air vents. I understand the strain covers but exactly how did you connect etc?

    • @thewrightlife
      @thewrightlife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Super easy DIY task. Just bought the 6” drain covers, drill a hole in the center. Purchased a piece of aluminum strap from Lowe’s and cut it in 6” lengths. Drilled and tapped the aluminum strap then attached (loosely) with a stainless steel screw and lock washer to the back of drain vent. This becomes the bracket to attach to the vent to the roof. Just slide it inside the duct hole and tighten the screw. Hope this helps.

    • @chrisroyak4479
      @chrisroyak4479 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thewrightlife Just thinking out loud here... would it be possible to install two stacked drain covers, rather than just one, which would give you the ability to rotate the outer cover so that the slots of the inner one would be slightly restricted?

    • @thewrightlife
      @thewrightlife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question. I had a brief thought about trying something like that, but never put too much more thought into it. If you try it, I would be interested in the outcome. Safe travels.

    Putting anything on the outside of the window to keep the sun from hitting it beats anything put on the inside of the window. A suction cup attached to cardboard works.

      agree?...but not sure how practical that would be. I need to think about that some.
