  • In this video I'm upgrading a 2023 Rocky Mountain Fusion 10 (I had a brain fart when I said 2022 everywhere in the video🤷‍♂️) with what I believe are the most important things to make it more trail capable and more enjoyable to ride. Like most budget mountain bikes this one came stock with a really bad fork, small brake rotors, cheap plastic pedals, grips and seat. Going tubeless would save more weight, but would not be too beginner friendly I believe, so I left the tubes in place. I did not replace the tires either, as this depends on where and how you ride and is really more of a personal choice that can be addressed later after riding skills have improved.
www.chainreact... helped me to donate this bike to a deserving individual who has been enjoying it tremendously so far.

You can also tune up the Advent how much you want the clutch to work. There are two screws in the back and you can loosen it or tighten it how you want. Nice bike.

I’ve thought of getting a Rocky Mountain Growler 40 . I know where I can get a used rental one for a good price from a good bike shop. I would upgrade the fork and wheels on it .

Sounds like a solid plan! Look at the Manitou Mattoc fork. You can adjust the travel without buying extra parts, same goes for the “air tokens”. Other forks need you to buy them, on the Manitou you can adjust the air volume real easy without them! Maintenance is also much easier, tuning of the shim stack can be done with info readily available from Manitou, and it’s soooo much plusher without being mushy even on the base model (COMP) Mattoc! 🤟
