    Awesome work....eventually wanna switch to 8 rib on my coyote with doin a predator blower swap...would be cool if yinz made the outer pulleys 6 rib......but I guess 4 rib would work on 6 rib pulleys for the power steering setup but again Awesome products an great info thanks

    Question : is the internal rotating assembly balanced with the stock balancer and if you change it to a lighter ATI, will it mess with the rotating assembly balance?

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! It will not as it does not involve the total weight of the balancer. To make it super simple, balancing has more to do with placement of the weight.

      All Ford modular engines have been internally balanced since 1996. That's why these are NOT balancers anymore. Harmonic damper is the correct term.

    You mentioned the offset and pulley alignment being different from the old setup at the end. Does this mean i can't use this with my dinosaur 2.3 without modification of some kind?

      This system will line up with our currently line up of supercharger pulleys and with going 20% lower, you'd need to spec a pulley size any way.

    Do you have a stock sized? Not underdriven ati damper for coyote?

    I wonder can the grip tech treatment can be done to it ?

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Typically slip is at the supercharger itself, not the crank. An overdrive lower assists by allowing you to go larger in supercharger pulley size while increasing OD diameter. This increases mechanical grip as there is more surface area. Then you can utilize things like ZPE's Griptec treatment on the supercharger pulley and auxiliary idlers to increase belt wrap.

    We really need to start calling these harmonic "Dampers". They haven't been balancers since 1995. :)

    Will the 8 rib OD work fine with 6 rib setup? Thinking of getting 10% with the attachment to run a/c. Don’t want to switch to 8 rib just bought the bomber bracket and some washers fell out during shipping.😞

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The available 66 mm / 2.5 in griptec 6-rib pullies pretty much max out what is possible with 6-rib so we do not recommend the ATI yet. Sorry about the shipping, the idler washers are standard, the stepped idler is only an issue if you are using the roush FEAD, in that case its PN VMP-SUT013 please call in.

    Do you guys have a lower profile tensioner than the one you already offer? I just installed the 20% and does not clear the tensioner

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're talking about the accessory side tensioner, our Super Low Profile Tensioner clears up to 30% OD and can be found at the link below:

      @@VMPPerformanceTV yes. I already have one for the 15% that was on the car and now the 20 doesnt allow it to bolt on. So theres a low pro and super low pro? Or did you guys remake the low pro even smaller? Thanks!

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The super low profile tensioner design replaced that prior tensioner as we designed larger OD offerings. Now we just offer this design as it clears everything we offer in our current line up.

      @@VMPPerformanceTV Why would you want to overdrive supercharger?

    • @VMPPerformanceTV
      @VMPPerformanceTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      By overdriving the supercharger's belt drive via a larger crank pulley, you can actually run a larger supercharger pulley in exchange for a mechanical grip advantage to prevent slip. As for when to consider 8 or 10 rib, it's more down to the vehicles usage and if you're experiencing belt slip with the 6 rib set up during that use than it is a specific horsepower number.
