With so many choices in the SUV segment, the 2022 Jaguar F Pace stands out as the unique choice. The model featured in this review is a P250 model with some expensive options. See my 2022 Land Rover Defender Review here: • 2022 Land Rover Defend...
The F Pace receives minimal changes for 2022. This SUV competes with the BMW X3, Audi Q5, and Mercedes GLC. The F-Pace and Porsche Macan are some of the more expensive models in this category. The inline-6 engine options like the P340 and P400 R Dynamic seem enticing but just watch the price. The SVR I’m sure is a blast but will set you back $90k with options.

I've had 2 F Pace's - not the updated version as yet - and I've had no 'glitches' whatsoever. I agree about the 'firm' suspension and the plasticky lower trim (all updated in the new version)
but the car itself has been a joy to drive.

Sorry Kevin but must disagree with much of this review. As owner (almost two years now) I have had none of the issues you claim. Of course, I do not drive 100 miles an hour (prefer not to be pulled over daily by highway patrolmen) but have never had stability issues going 80-85. The ride is actually sublime and do not have your issues with the transmission.
Perhaps dumb luck, but have not had any electrical or mechanical issues.

JLR have come a long way since the 1980s in the days of Lucas electronics, people (especially non brand owners and content creators like this guy who has never owned a JLR product and tests a car for 5mins pretending to be experts still bash the brand unfairly based on perceptions 40 years ago) German brands are not that more reliable either, if all you want is reliability over everything else get a Lexus! Life’s too short to drive boring cars, BMWs are far more unreliable than Jaguar and yes I am talking from actual ownership experience and not test driving a car for 5min!

On the money review. Jag always had small glitches . I hate the transmission and I don't notice the driving modes big difference but its a cool car and I get lots of compliments. My fist F pace went five years with out a glitch. so I bought this on solely on looks. Its still a fun car to drive but you do have to deal with Jaguar glitches. I've heard some horror stories. I still love the vehicle and I like the way it drives. You'll need a degree to understand the the Display and interaction with the Vehicle. Otherwise at least you'll look good driving the car

Spot on assessment of the JLR products, Kevin. Their designs are truly desirable but that's about it. It baffles me people actually buy these overpriced contraptions only to have it sit in the workshop for half the time. And yet not a single motoring journalist worth his or her salt dare even mentions it. It's like either they're afraid of being boycotted by JLR or just lack integrity. The forums and threads are filled with nightmarish stories of these things just making life hell for their owners. For me, it's fun just playing on their online configurator. But that's it.

JLR reputation is mostly a myth, every new car can have issues, jlr issues are blown out of the water and most people have no problems compared to other euro cars. ford era JLR however was its peak in reliability. i daily drive a 23yo jaguar xk8 in all sorts of conditions and traffic, multiple times a day, and just within the last year, 12,000 miles in that year, it has only needed an alternator and MAF cleaning. did some stuff preventatively of course, like coolant hoses and chain tensioners considering it is an old car, but still.

At least it's georgeous. That side profile is drool worthy 🤤. Same for the interior. So sad they put that power wheels motor in it. I don't get that. Totally missed opportunity to set a standard in that division for best value. If you're not going to make a truck powerful enough to mistake it for a car off the launch...don't make it a sports truck. I would love to have a truck that looks that sporty and give it enough power to more than overcompensate for the weight for a luxury drive when wanted and a sport setting when needed. Such a beautiful design deserved so much more in terms of performance. Whyyyyyy!!!!!😫

Interior looks beautiful, I agree. Windows look too small, like just about every other new vehicle available today. You mentioned that this may be the dream vehicle for "Jaguar freaks" but it's hard to see the relationship between the F Pace and what made Jaguar, uh ... famous. Besides unreliability, I guess. Ouch. Jaguar used to have some sort of soul, with their V12s and British character, but what's left of that? A noisy 4 cylinder?
The F Pace does make the new Defender look like it oozes character. The F Pace is a triumph of supposed form over function, when even the form doesn't stand out enough. This is the vehicle that keeps Jaguar in business? Lord help them.

Because of the lack of respect for Genesis their biggest problem is resale value, just drops like a Rock. Better off just buying Lexus or Acura
