The Grayl GeoPress is worth its weight in gold for anyone who spends time outdoors like hiking, camping, kayaking, what have you. Would love to see this in a future Battlbox. 👊🔥
Great filter , Grayl has been on my radar for a while , I'll probably pick one of these up next month Thanks for your efforts Currin1776 ! Love your vidjas and livestreams !
Awesome bit of kit love mine. You can also use a hassium sack fill with water then use this water to fill the Grayl then filter with Grayl this will almost double the life of the filter.
Grayl should make a donation to East Palestine oh...!! Just ordered mine with the bottlelock hip pack for fishing and hitting the trails... been waiting for a product like this for a while, been using life straws.. great video..! MERICA..🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I know this is an older video but you have to check out the Uzima Water Filter. Nothing to replace no filters to buy. Yep, just check it out. Just one Africa, Uzima Filter. I have the bucket and the backpack. They are unreal!!! The absolute best filter that can be purchased.
Awesome! My husband & I both have the geopress, but I was wanting to get ones for our 5 adult children for the emergency kits I'm putting together for them. I'll have to check out the ultra-press for them!
I use mine every day. I always have access to clean purified water for free and I drink the amount I should(and skip manufactured snd sugat drinks) throughout the day. Hint if you like cold water keep an insilatrd bottle pavked with ice to transfer your purified water into. Be sure to use purifed ice too!
I got the Geopress when it was on Kickstarter. Got a bunch of filters with it as well. Still haven't used it since my walks are still dayhikes and I can just carry water from home with me. I hope to one day use it for at least the desert portion of the PCT because I've heard horror stories about water sources having dead rodents or manure. Would be heavy, but I'm loosing weight off my stomach now so I can carry more on my back when the time comes if necesary.
@@LittlePieceOfHeaven.65 Most of my walks are in parks or along the city's waterfront were there isn't a convenient source of fresh water to fill from.
To make the filter last a lot longer I would prefilter the water in a sawyer mini before purification in the grayl . Save lots of money on extra filters.
Yup the titanium grail is working great, i carry it in a bottle holder with other cups and cutlery plus a cook kit , i use it camping / traveling I have been taking it to the Philippines the last few times , it has worked good and kept me from getting ill from bad water for sure / i run any water i will drink thru it and i have two extra filters for it yet to change it out , its nice in hotel rooms too i filter the tap water
The only reason I unsubscribed from BattleBox was stage 4 Kidney cancer and can afford to stay. I still would like to stay so I can see what is in the new boxes but if not I under stand. Thank you James
The 24oz can be backflushed with an aldi 15oz tika masala glass bottle, 🤣. Fill the inner bottle to 1/4 full with purified water and put the glass bottle in and push. Untwist filter and push glass out from bottom and repeat steps. Do it 5-10 times. Easy.
I have both the ultralight and new ultrapress and I can tell you they are the exact same bottle. The only differences are the colors and the design of the lid. You can buy an ultrapress lid separately and put it on the ultralight bottle. The filters are also the same.
I will allow myself to disagree on cross contamination. You're filling the container, your hands are wet in dirty water, you touch the lid, the cap, you touch everything, then you put cap back. Thus you inevitably contaminating clean side. Unless you're washing your hands and outer body before unscrewing the cap, which I seriously doubt anyone does, as you need clean water for this.
Not good for me. About 8-15 gallons. It has great benefits but costly. 15 gallons max on clear water. A wet filter between trips causes much faster deterioration.
Actually, Grayl says this size is good for about 40 gal per filter cartridge. For me, that's enough to justify the extreme convenience and robustness of these units for the cost. So much depends on your operating conditions and the quality of the anticipated water sources. If there's no way to remove high turbidity by pre-filtering, then the inability to back flush these might be a significant issue. But their ability to survive inadvertent freezing could be important for some people. Like any filter, the clock starts ticking when it's first used -- trapped contaminants and minerals eventually impair useable lifespan.
@@FT4Freedom Totally agree -- the filter medium is nothing revolutionary, like lifestraw was back in the day, but it does appear to be a best in class carbon filter. That would be depending on whether the published virus and metal reducing claims are legit, of course . . .
It was "enough of a thing" for you to mention it, CURRIN1776, yet you still said "wuter" a bunch more times throughout the video 😂. Everyone has their own idiosyncrasies, dialects, and accents; I really like how it seems that you "let it roll off of you". Awesome "vidgya" as always CURRIN1776 and Battlbox.👍

LOVE Grayl products!
That is my definition of "essentials" when it comes to packing out. Cleans river water, all self contained, no tubes or extra moving parts. Brilliant!

Thanks for sharing. Recently, I bought the Grayl Geopress and I'm really happy with it! Easy handling and clean water ... just perfect! :)
Thanks for watching! 🙏
I like it! Great concept, I like the ease of use; no hoses to connect and pack away.
I like this guy. He looks like he pick bugs up with his bare hands lol. Thank you for this video!
Just received my GeoPress. Cannot wait to take it to the Colorado wilderness!
Hope to see this in the next battlbox. My little one says water just like you. It is funny. Love the video.

Your video quality look clean, nice audio as well 👍
Can't wait to use it ...
I recommended this when I was a BB subscriber . Hopefully they are getting back to the beginning
Like the ID-5100 on the dash.
Yes they are amazing I have 4 of them I used in Asia when I was traveling 2 years ago
Sounds great
Love it!!!

@@THENEWWRANGLER thats awesome! just what i wanted to hear thanks!
Would i be able to use it as a regular edc water bottle that I could refill at the gym without compromising the filter?
Great company. Nice product. Nice size. I need one 😢
Hands down the best water filters on the market 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You didn’t mention if we will be seeing this in any upcoming boxes??
The only reason I unsubscribed from BattleBox was stage 4 Kidney cancer and can afford to stay. I still would like to stay so I can see what is in the new boxes but if not I under stand. Thank you James
I bought the bigger Geopress because the cap is attached. It stays in my truck. I'll probably buy the smaller one for day hiking.
I dig it!
I like it! A lot!
I gave the ultralight/ original. Best filter ever. It appears the orange filters are unchanged. Does it report removing coronavirus?
Video starts at 8:20
That is so cool I have never seen one like it
Grayl is on my list definitely get one of each when ican
GRAYL is great I have two of them

In a survival situation where water is not available, can it filter urine
Do not drink urine. That’s a myth. It will dehydrate you quick!
Yeah… you can go ahead and send it!!!!
I prefer the first model of Grayl.
I’ve bought geopress for everyone I know that likes being outdoors
I would pair that with the Palatapus 2L collapsible water bottle.... and yeah it's wadder
It would be a good addition to mission 83
Who here only found out about these guys from their Southern Survival show on Netflix
I've got one of the original ultralight grayls. Been seriously considering getting one of the new ones.

I would just drink this river water without filtering 😂

Is it " water" or " wudder" ?
You’re so country, we love you
Man where are the leak videos 😜
Looks cool, however it is expensive

I don't understand the hype on Grayl. People do your research. I've used it for 3 years. 3 stars at max. Many drawbacks to Grayl. IMHO.
