Great job perch fishing that day! I think I counted 41 for you guys, but either way that's an awesome day of perch fishing! I remember in the late 80's and early 90's out on Green Bay when the limit was 50 per person and it'd take 2 hours to catch that many! I'll probably never see that kind of fishing again, but I'd take 20 in a day any day!
@@CNCoutdoors Yah I was pretty young back then. I was 10 in 1990, so I caught the tail end of it. But more than once we would get the bait down to the bottom, close the bail and start reeling! It was that fast sometimes! I just wish sometimes that we had electronics back then just so I could've seen how thick those schools of fish were! A lot more smelt and burbot back then too!
If you were to switch gears and look for walleye where would you go outside of this perch school or just move move till you found a few. Great video btw made it look easy again lol.
Thanks! Finding walleye would definitely be a lot more moving. But i would definitely start in shallower than where the perch are at. Hard to say though honestly, might have to try looking for eyes next time I’m out there.
@@CNCoutdoors yah that final spot we were on we marked fish the entire time (about 4 hours), however they wouldn't come up more than 6 inches to hit a bait! And not a SINGLE bite on minnows that day, which I thought was quite odd! One walleye and one white bass was caught in addition to the 6 perch, but definitely a super slow day. First time fishing the east shore for me that day.
@@fishlovme better than a sharp stick in the eye! Sometimes when you mark constant fish like that it will be a giant school of sheepshead. The walleyes and white bass will swim with them though
Thanks! On the east side of the lake you can launch out of Quinney, Brothertown, or pipe. West side you can launch out of Asylum Bay, Merritt Ave, Black wolf park, TJ’s, or Wendts
Do you have a recommendation for a guide service on Winnebago. Coming from a distance and would like to make sure we have a decent chance to get on fish. Looking for perch and walleye.
Larry Smith or Mister Bluegill guide service are probably the best out there. This lake is tough as nails most days so don’t expect to catch much but they will definitely teach you a lot of you ask.
I was wondering if I can get some information on where you went out off. I am thinking about taking my boys out there and would like some feedback.. great video
We went out of Oshkosh. Stop in at Fish Tales and talk to Cory, he knows just about everything i know. He’ll direct you to a safe landing and hopefully a pile of fish. Thanks for watching and good luck to you and your boys!
Clark. Its fully adjustable by weights and jigging pattern. On program #9 it doesn't have the one extra step that others have. It's also amazing how many it doesn't miss though. We humans tend to set the hook to ealry.
Awesome perch, and another great video.👍 Keep them coming.
Thanks!!

Wow what a day! Wish it would have been like that on Saturday 😀
Just gonna have to go to Bago next year!
Great video that was an awesome day
Yes it was, thanks!!
I was there on the 5th (Saturday) and picked up a few. Lots of lookers and chasers. Not bad for my first bago trip
Any day you catch a couple fish on Bago is a win! She can be extremely tough most days
I think I was eye balling that same grill at menards today lol
There super nice! Perfect for ice fishing, in the boat, or camping
Now there's a good fish fry coming 😋 glad they are biting on the east side of the state. It sucks over here on the west side 😕
Mississippi not so hot this year? I thought that river was always on fire for perch 😂 yup definitely gonna be a good perch fry on Friday!!!
Awesome video. 👍👍
Thank you!

Down to ten feet
It’s a custom spoon you can get at Ma’s bait and tackle in Fremont. I’m not really sure if they have a name

I was out from the east shore the day before that and the bite was tough. Moved four times.
There still over there i promise! We moved about 12-15 times before we found this school.

A couple of my buddies have had some ok days on the white bass but nothing crazy that I’ve seen yet.
Great video! Was out the last couple days and big zero for keepers.. SMDH

Every single one of the perch we’ve cleaned this year from Bago were absolutely loaded with red worms. You must’ve found the hungry ones! 😂
