This song is disgustingly beautiful. Dark and wretched, yet has hopeful light. The notes paint the picture of family, loyalty, and betrayal!!
Britell is a genius for writing this. It really conveys the pain each family member experiences but deep down they’re still family, however twisted and disgusting they are to each other.
It's also chaotic. There's an interview with Brittell with Vanity Fair (it's on youtube) and he explains that the dramatic parts of the theme aren't even in the same scale. Like, he actually went outside of what makes sense musically to convey the emotional whirlwind of the family and show. It's dramatic, bold, and apologetically so, just like Logan.

This tune sounds like when you're sitting and brooding over something, waiting for some outcome and then eventually the pieces just fall into place and you suddenly sort of figure it out.
This variation on the Succession Theme is powerful, haunting, beautiful & touches something deep inside that stirs up the need to play over & over. Thank you.

Are you KIDDING ME?? I had nearly given up hope of finding any new Succession music to feed my fix while waiting for season 3's soundtrack (6 long months *after* S3 finishes 😩).
Most of the other TH-camrs vids are merely playing Britell's music verbatim, and mostly just the intro theme. I had all but given up hope of finding anything fresh. That is, until I found this video. ...Good GRIEF, this is FIRE.
The medley mashup of the themes, with variation, feeling, and flourish, is AMAZING. Wow, this easily could pass as having come straight from the hands of Britell himself.
The earthquaking "stairs" midway through is my favorite, like descending down the staircase into madness. But then how it stops and turns the other way, coming out of it softly and gently, walking back up the stairs toward sanity, ...only to turn it back around once again, back and forth.
Or in other words, "Succession" encapsulated perfectly in music form 👍
It's clear you pour your soul and feeling into your playing, and it shows. Well done!
This music is utterly haunting and hair raising.....yet so beautiful that you want to go on listening to it. Starts off quite dark but there are notes of optimism for a brief while.....but they do not last long. Like there is a fierce tug going on between good and evil.
Very emotional , its remînds me my father that i lost some days begore now , i named my son who was born recently the same name as his grand father, its really a succesion ! Thanks.

😲 With his arms blackened out, by the end, it's like just two unattached flying hands dancing across the keyboard, with a creepy undertone of "Thing" from the Adam's Family detached finger walking member. In combination with the effortless stream of this eerily enchanting tune, this is an incredible video that stops you in whatever you're doing. Truly an incredible talent and those ivories have been more than tickled, along with us all. 🖤👏

Well, this is, in fact, contemporary classical music. There’s a ton of wonderful contemporary classical music in well-composed movie music. Think of James Williams, Danny Elfman, Carter Burwell, Thomas Newman. The music stands on its own.
