My family has a tradition of "leftover Friday ". Basically, we have a traditional Thanksgiving but the day after we invite extended family, in laws, friends, random people we met in the store, etc and we all bring our leftovers and play games and just hang out. I get more excited about leftover Friday than Thanksgiving itself
@@jessicawrubel7670 that is the beauty of leftover Friday. Whoever can come. One year mom made it a point to invite every family from church that wasn't near extended family or didn't have anyone else. Newly divorced, coworkers that need someone, anyone. It's my favorite tradition because it was no strings, no pressure, and no judgment.
In the long run it might be worth it to invest in a set of 12 matching dishes and glassware. You can do so affordably from ikea. Many people even do that for their weddings because it’s cheaper than rentals. Also buying one big stock pot comes in very handy. Things I learned from my mom that I’m very grateful for
My family would host a neighborhood holiday party every year and we had a set of party dishes from ikea (like 40 glass plates and a bin of silverware) it made life soooooooo much easier and they were separate from our family set so if anything broke it wasn’t an issue. Also found that buying a cheap set of glasses is a much more affordable and eco friendly than solo cups or other disposable dishes for get togethers.

Yeah my parents bought dishes for my wedding, like 200 plates/ water goblets/silverware and 10 years later they have been reused so many times that its paid off!
French person here. We don’t really do cheese boards but we like to pair blue cheeses with pears and for mild tasting cheeses, black cherry jam is perfect! It’s usually more with sheep cheese, which has barely any taste.
I holiday in France a lot and when visiting restaurants (in non tourist areas, this example is from a village) they do a cheese course and it is presented on a board. So interesting!
Oh man, I just had a flashback to my waiting table days when you were lighting the candles on your set table, my brain immediately went "she should fill the glasses with water now before they arrive" and then of course I was like - wait - these are their friends, not customers 😂😂😂
You did a beautiful job on your table! And I def feel like I got some pointers from you for a decent cheese board! Hope you and your family all had an amazing Thanksgiving ❤️ so much love to you all!
Happy Thanksgiving! I always love all of your vlogs, but this one, in particular, was so fun. It's so cool that Grace is experiencing her first holiday season. Can't wait for vlogmas- I'm glad you decided to do it this year!!
Make sure you share that secret potato ingredient with grace because you don’t want it to be lost!!! Now that my grandma is old I am sure happy I have all of her secret recipes so I can enjoy them when I’m not with her ☺️
I dont know what it is about parent recipes that are always better when they make it. I'd take my Dad's sweet potato pie over my own any day of the year
I moved to Denmark and most beds are two twin mattresses put together like yours. They also have two individual sheets and comforters. Blew my mind the first time I saw it :)
Oh my gosh, I kid you not, I got this notification as I thought "I'm on break, and I want to watch something, but I don't know what to watch". Sierra to the rescue 😂💛
I know this is probably an odd question but something I always wondered is how do you get enough protein in your diet being a vegetarian and do you eat turkey on thanksgiving?
Her hair down while cooking, I used to do that too…until someone pulled a long hair out of the stuffing 😬🤭 and now, I always tie my hair up when I’m cooking
Was just thinking about you 3 and if I had missed a post, went to check and here you guys are..yay.. just took down fall decor gonna start winter tomorrow, have had a few mini flurries in Delaware.. Stay safe and healthy much love 💜💙❄🌨☃️⛄
I saw the whipped cream TikTok on Instagram but I didn't know that was whipped cream. I thought they were marshmallows or something and didn't know why they were sticking to people's hands so bad lol
So love your channel. Is grace transitioning to solids yet? Or do you plan on slowly introducing it to her in the coming months? Also so excited about watching the vlogmas videos.

I love this tradition! I wish our family/old friends lived closer to have a left over Friday 😃

That's a wonderful tradition! Hope more will get inspired to do something similar, I sure am :)
We do the same except we call it games day, it’s the best! Some how leftovers and board games just work perfectly together
Cooking hack, cut the potatoes before boiling them for mashed! Saves cooking time and plus easier mashing!
The whipped cream TikTok made me laugh so much 😂 hope you all had the best thanksgiving! So pumped for 12 days of vlogmas!!!!
You and Stephen are the most thoughtful hosts!! Looks like a wonderful Thanksgiving.

What about planches ?
I feel like you’re the only french person who doesn’t do cheese boards?! Haha 😆

Black cherry jam with cheese is divine!

Now I'm dying to know the secret ingredient for the mashed potatoes.
Sour cream, heavy cream, butter, and a bit of cream cheese really amp up mashed potatoes 😊
My secret ingredient is Mayo. Lol SO GOOD
@@Kellybeeafterhours Ooo I'll have to try that.
Same, I'm wondering if it's celery root. Seems like a secret kind of ingredient.
I feel like it could be nutmeg. Or parmesan!! 🤯😄
This was such a fun video to watch, I hope you guys had an amazing thanksgiving!!! I love you and ur family❤️
I dont know what it is about parent recipes that are always better when they make it. I'd take my Dad's sweet potato pie over my own any day of the year

Oh my gosh, I kid you not, I got this notification as I thought "I'm on break, and I want to watch something, but I don't know what to watch".

If your secret to the mashed potatoes isn’t the Boursin garlic and herb cheese then you NEED to try it!!
I saw the whipped cream TikTok on Instagram but I didn't know that was whipped cream. I thought they were marshmallows or something and didn't know why they were sticking to people's hands so bad lol
Mashed potatoes with your Dad is like me and my Dad with gravy 😂
Hey Stephen,
"Yeasty rolls" are amazing.
Don't you insult the rolls, lol.
We use evaporative milk.
How fun. ♥️♥️
I’m wondering if the secret ingredient is some type of bouillon cube 👀👀
ALSO SIERRA YOU LOOK STUNNING!!!
Awe. Shes getting so big!
QUEEN!
Tesla - an expensive hair dryer 😂
The first thing my head went to for the secret ingredient is pickle juice, idk why 😂😂😂😂
Grace looks so much like you
just curious, how did you and stephan meet initially?
Disneyland !
Grace is so stinkin' cute!
Why it all the guys nailed the ticktok🤣🤣
Is the secret mayo? I saw that on a tiktok recently and I can't decide if I'm disgusted or intrigued 😂
Mayo or miracle whip
Put a wet/damp paper towel under your cutting board, so it doesn’t move.
Who else yawned? I for sure did 😂😂😂 (because she yawned)
I’m so early! Not complaining though! 😅
Bet the secret ingredient is Mustard!
So love your channel. Is grace transitioning to solids yet? Or do you plan on slowly introducing it to her in the coming months? Also so excited about watching the vlogmas videos.
