Are they by chance the same rods you use for trolling walleye? What action etc.? Obviously you need bigger reels to handle more line capacity. Thanks!!!

From Northern Ontario right off Lake Superior it's amazing fishing pretty much all year round you get massive Lake Trout Brook Trout and Walleye. Isle Royale / Welcome Islands / Caribou Island. Welcome Great White North 👍
I'm curious as to what conditions in the weather you are looking for. I have the same size boat and have been too leery to take it out on Lake Superior
Something seems weird, 34 miles out puts a person at least 8 miles past even the far islands like Outer, yet in the vid it look like he's near land. I don't want to doubt Tom as I'm a big fan, but gall-dang 34 miles? I've love to try this but that kind of distance is pretty intimidating. Not to mention I'd have no idea where to start.
Hi Tom, great channel. What Minn Kota trolling motor shaft length do you use? Getting the same boat and want to use the electric motor for steering while trolling. Thanks. I also recommend using the slide diver to help with those long leads.
