  • Todays video is all about my favorite place to fish! Lake Superior is a magical place and even a slow day rarely disappoints. In this video we head out in search of lake trout. I talk about how I like to catch summer lake trout both trolling and jigging for them. Summer lake trout fishing is one of my favorite things to do during the dog days of summer. Thanks for watching and enjoy!

Hey man, I just wanted to say that I love your vids. I have always been a pike, muskie and bass guy on Georgian Bay, but your Walleye and Trout vids have me planning for next week while I'm off! Thanks for the time and effort you put into your filming and editing, you make it look easy. I know exactly what I'm picking up for the next time I'm out, cheers.

Hey Tom, Very intrigued by the laker videos. I have only caught 20-30 or so of these fish in my life. One charter trip on Lake Superior a number of years ago, and some subsequent fishing after a moose hunt in northern Manitoba a few years back. My biggest in the remote area we hunted was 42". Could not weigh because that time of year up there, was catch and release only, but wow, what fun!!!! I do not expect you to give any secrets about where you are fishing but you always talk about making a 30+ mile run to get to your fishing grounds. Could you please enlighten me about the types of areas you are traveling to, why you go to those areas, versus fishing much closer to the landings. Do we need to be looking on the windward side of the islands or the opposite side? Your previous videos have mentioned depths and trolling those break line depths, with very informative detail as usual, but a hint of where the hell to start, and why, would be very useful. 30 + miles in what direction? And why? LIke I said I do not expect you to tell us where you are fishing, but why are they hanging where they are at? By The way, your t-shirts fit pretty well true to size. Thank you for all you have given us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see those Okuma Coldwater reels. Got my first last year for lead core, and I love it! Now you keep saying you are running these on 1's and 2's, is this a reference to the dipsy diver connection points?

Also, love the tiller setup on that boat! I didn't realize how much I'd hate the standard helm seat until it was too late....now I need other people to handle the rods and wind when trolling...

Is there a particular weather website you look at for winds and direction? You seem to pick some real nice days to fish. Caught some nice lakers

How do those rod holders work for the dipsy? I'm just getting into trolling and everyone tells me I have to upgrade mine to aluminum ones cause the plastic will break.. but yours seem ok

Reeling slowly can help. If they are bleeding like the one was, probably will die. Trout are pretty sensitive when it comes to gill damage

What depth would you recommend fishing in Superior for walleye in beginning of August of 2020. ?? Fishing Northern Ontario Lake Superior Thunder Bay. Water temperatures are pretty much the same across the board for Superior. ??
