If battery life is a main concern then KEEP your 13PM & buy a new battery. If you're wanting something that isn't as weighty then go for the 16PM, I love the cameras on my 13PM better than what ive seen on the new 15PM i don't like the softness.
Great great video Nick! As mentioned before I’m still rocking my 13 pm which works perfectly. Do wish the new Siri would be available for it. Considering the 16 pm & looking forward to your videos on them. You’re my go to guy on iPhones. 👍🏻
As an iPhone 13 PM owner since late 2021, I definitely don’t see myself upgrading, the only thing that has me on the fence is the option to get larger memory. (Currently 128GB) which there was an option to upgrade memory.
I had an iPhone 10s max, 12 pro max, now 14 pro max. I personally prefer the stainless steel build phones. I like the quality feel. I don’t want a thinner or lighter phone
I bought new this iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1 terabyte in the graphite color and it does everything that I needed it for. I’ll be in use of this one for at least two or three years more. My primary phone is the s24 Ultra with 1 terabyte of storage in the titanium orange. That ultra is so ahead of its time. It’s really nice to have the best of both worlds when having both. Sometimes when traveling one may do better in one area than the other and that has been the case a few times. Since Samsung provides Apple’s amoled screens, I hope that possibly that they can share more of each other’s technology. Both are leaders in their market and I don’t see either one of them disappearing in terms of business. I’m a music person and Samsung there makes that part of my life so much easier. I love having a hard copy of my music rather than streaming and being able to transfer that music using Smart-switch in an instant instead of having to use a laptop to transfer over to an iPhone. You really have a lot more liberty with Samsung than you get with Apple when it comes to music. I recommend to always use protective cases and screens for these devices and don’t use metal cases, they have the tendency to interfere with your signal strength.
I have the 13 Pro Max in Sierra Blue with a black Spigen liquid air case, I’ve had it since December 2021, and it’s an amazing phone. Battery on 87%. I use two e-sims on it and it works perfectly.Only thing is it has picked up small scratches on the silver edges, it makes no sense I have always had a case on it. Other than that it’s in almost new condition. I would highly recommend this phone…
Ive had mines since fall 3 years ago and I’m Keeping mines for sure, I see no need to upgrade and certainly the iPhone 16 didn’t give me anything I truly care to have yet. So I will wait another 2 maybe 3 more years.
The battery will leave the chat after a year. Yes, if the device is clean, and if the battery percentage drops to 79 or less, replace it at an Apple-authorized center.
I have the 13 Pro Max 256gb black and I am super happy with it but I went with the new 16 Pro Max 1TB because I had a great offer on the renewal of my carrier contract and will be using that. Apart from that, amazing phone, fast, great battery… great camera, all that you would need 👌🏻
I have the 13 Pro, and it has been great as well. I am down to 93% battery health, but that's not too bad considering it's my daily phone. For me, the software still moves plenty fast enough even though it's 3 years old. One thing I do with mine is use an Otterbox Defender case - that pretty much eliminates the problem with the "camera bump" and keeps the camera lens from being scratched. When I remove the case to clean the phone, it still looks basically brand new.
If I had easily been able to get the 13 pro Max at the time of when the 14 pro Max was released I certainly would’ve chosen the 13 pro Max instead of my 14 pro Max especially in that gorgeous Sierra blue colour. I wish Apple would bring back that colour honestly the iPhone 13 Pro lineup had the best colours and I’m hearing the battery life was a beast.
You convinced me to upgrade from the XS max 2 years ago after recently upgrading from a 6S to the XS max. I definitely felt like it was an huge upgrade coming from the XS max. I ended up picking up a used one 2 years ago for $550 & couldn’t thank you enough for the recommendation. I was hesitant since recently upgrading but the upgrade was well worth it. It feels like a flagship model, like the 6S was & also why I hung on to it until its last year of support. I honestly don’t see myself needing to upgrade till it loses support in 2027 or 2028. It does the job & extremely well. I don’t mind if it doesn’t have split screen.
As a 13 pro max user 128 gb I’m thinking of upgrading to another 13 pro max 512 gb then I’ll have that for like another 4 years, this phone is a beast everything you need it gat it I love everything about this phone
Currently have the iPhone 13 PM and it’s still running awesome. Just the battery but definitely will get it replaced soon! How is the latest ios18 public beta running?
Recently bought my 13PM two weeks ago and it feels like a breeze. My suggestion if upgrading to 15PM and beyond: Keep the 13PM and buy a brand new one. It's much better to have two devices with one 3x camera and another one with 5x camera.
I just traded in my 13 Pro Max for a 16 Pro Max. Had it almost 3 years. The main reason I did so, is that AT&T would still give me a very good trade in value on it. After three years, it will start to go down very quickly. It was a great phone, and I still had 91% battery after three years.
Me still rocking my 13 pro (seirra blue) with a battery replacement (I think it has to due with software issues in the past) is holding in like a champ. Actually today (Spet 28th) is the day I got my 13 pro back in 2021 so my phone actually turned 3.
I'm still buying the 16Pro Max. Already ordered. I'm keeping my 13 Pro Max and just gonna use it for a back up phone &/or just play with it while using iOS 18, camera for my Mac's. Watch tv or other youtube stuff.
1:33 I'm slightly confused. Is the top edge stainless steel and the others something else? When you said "over here" are you referring to that top edge only?
I've got a Sierra Blue 13 Pro Max in 512 GB, & I'm going to trade it in for the 16 Pro Max sooner I'm an independent car content creator & my iPhone is the only camera I use to record my Reels, TH-cam Shorts, & TikToks. I also want to get into making more in-depth reviews of certain cars, so I think it's a welcome upgrade with the new cameras, microphones, lighter weight, & better battery life than my current 13 PM
I have the 13 pro max. It’s been the best iPhone I’ve ever had. Killer battery life. You couldn’t give me a 15 pro max. I will have this one until it dies.
The only reason to upgrade is USB-C. Even then, it's better to not exchange it and instead just buy the newer model. In many tests, the 13 PM straight up defeated the 15 PM in battery life or came extremely close and that's saying something.
My first iPhone was a 7 plus was an amazing phone. I waited till the 13 Pro Max, which was a noticeable upgrade. I’m going to wait for the 17 Pro Max because Apple Intelligence isn’t even out yet until next year and by that time there will be better features on the 17. 4 to 5 years to upgrade your phone it will feel better, but if you have the money do whatever
Hey nick, what do you say on switching to 13 Pro Max from a S22 Ultra? My S22 Ultra has some bugs & problems after a screen replacement, and all I can afford for now is switching to the 13 Pro Max.
Mine has heating and touch sensitivity issues? I’m torn on upgrading or buying another model. I couldn’t go a week without using my phone, my old phone I’m locked out of
The best iPhone of all time! The sleek look, heavy feel, large battery, and amazing refresh rate for smooth performance-Apple really went all out. This phone will still be relevant six years from now!!!!
Old control center from system 11-17 I will keep 17 for a long time at least another year. The most beautiful and specifically the photo studio is better
My wife has a 13 Pro and I have a 13 Pro Max. I am updating mine mainly because having spent 30 years in IT I"m somewhat of a numbers junkie. But the 13 Pro or Pro Max are very much still relevant. There's a myth pushed by Apple (WWDC) that anything other than this year's model somehow magically becomes slow and antiquated. For most people like my wife, the 13 Pro or Pro Max is more than sufficient. Yes, there will come a time when their age will begin to show but that time is still some time away. Me? The advances in the cameras and AI with the 16 Pro Max are intriguing. My wife will be happy with her phone for quite some time. She held on to a 6S until Apple stopped supporting it. This discussion points out Apple's admirable long term support for their phones. They have been much better than Android (Samsung) in this regard.
ive owned both samsung and iphone, from all phones ive ever had, 13 pm is 100% the best ive ever had, aint gonna upgrade unless it dies, it wont get updates anymore, or the battery gets very bad, but after having it for over 2 years now, just som basic maintaining like not letting it get below 20% and charging with 5w if I dont need to be anywere, and having a 30w charger on the side if i really need to go and i need fast charging, and often using the battery save mode when i know i need the battery to last the whole day, and after just those things the phone still lasts over a day for me while being often used after 2 years
Yes, it still has speed, battery is phenomenal, no heat, technically works perfectly, looks and feels premium not like 15 pro max etc. There is just one big issue that no one is mentioning and that made me buy the 16 pro, man don’t forget about the weight and the cutting edges. It is brutally uncomfortable and heavy and made me switch. I m tied of carrying a brick with me. Drop a like if you think like me.
I’ve had my 13pm since release and it has been perfect definitely imo the best iPhone I’ve used wanted to get the 15pm when it came out but decided to wait for the 16pm and most likely will be going with that, but love my 13pm
One reason I would wanna upgrade tho that I forgot about is my phone does have burn in unfortunately. If not for that I could easily use this phone for two more years no problem
Went from a 12 mini to a regular 13 and I love my 13 but if I were to try a pro max phone I would just get the 13 pro max I really want to try a pro max
When talking about the iPhone 13 Pro Max, 14 Pro Max, and 15 Pro Max, it feels like the quality and durability we notice on the first day gets a bit worse each year.
I use my old 12 Pro Max for work and I’ve been thinking about getting a 13 Pro to replace it. My personal is the 15 Pro Max and I think it’s the perfect size. The 16 Pro Max was to big!
Though I myself have 14PM i know my friends who has 13PM lasting longer than mine in battery life and i personally say that dymanic island isnt much of a use and notch actually is better while viewing content in comparison as it comes along with bezels unlike the island !!!
I like the new iphone 16 promax but my 13 pmax is still a beast. Battery is superb and whole phone is smooth. I agree with the other commenters here...iphone 13 promax is the best iphone.
So far this being my first pro iPhone it’s lasted me a year longer than my iPhone 11 so def got all my moneys worth thank u Apple even tho yall get on my nerves
I'll keep mine. Went from the 11 Pro Max to the 13 Pro Max because it finally had the 120Hz and 5G. Also the battery was really good, i'll replace it soon and have a brand new phone. I won't miss too much about the 16 Pro Max.
5g network - available in iPhone 12 even - it is not very important now but it is also a welcome feature 120 Hz is not as important as an OLED screen with an Apple system with an Android system is important
@@فارسالتميمي-ع7غ Valid opinion. For me the only reason i skipped the 12’s was the 60hz they stuck with. If the 12 series had the 120hz i would have probably ordered one of those. Here where i live i cannot even enjoy 5G at it’s fullest potential since we don’t have the mmWave Hardware so that’s another thing…
I do have an itch to upgrade, but I think the best move I can make is to keep my 13 Pro Max. It has been trouble free and as you said, it still runs like a charm. My battery is down to 90 percent, but I have no issues with it by the end of the day. The thing with Tech is that the longer you hold out you are practically guaranteed more bang for your buck down the road. I enjoy using technology as well as learning about what is coming up the road soon.

Love how you make the iphone 13 pro sound like an ancient phone.
*sent from iPhone XS
It’s old by tech standards we are 3 generations ahead already
So 3 years can be considered ancient?
@@creativepicnl it is when technology in smartphones are advancing every year.
@ yeah but how much really did the most recent advance compared to the 13 apart from the normal incremental speed upgrades though?
Currently have the iPhone 13 PM and it’s still running awesome. Just the battery but definitely will get it replaced soon! How is the latest ios18 public beta running?
Pls dont upgrade if you want apple to actually improve their products !!!
Recently bought my 13PM two weeks ago and it feels like a breeze. My suggestion if upgrading to 15PM and beyond: Keep the 13PM and buy a brand new one. It's much better to have two devices with one 3x camera and another one with 5x camera.
Still a great phone for 3 years to come 👍🏻
Watching from Ghana 🇬🇭 🎉

I just traded in my 13 Pro Max for a 16 Pro Max. Had it almost 3 years. The main reason I did so, is that AT&T would still give me a very good trade in value on it. After three years, it will start to go down very quickly. It was a great phone, and I still had 91% battery after three years.
i had an iphone 11 in the past and upgraded to the 13pm i didn’t noticed that difference so i think am going to the 14pm for the dynamic island
Just bought one, getting it tomorrow 😄
I am not updating from my 13 pro max. Not even for 16
Same, the 13 pro max is incredible
Same me neither it does everything I need.
Please camera and light setup 😢 we need a video on that
1:33 I'm slightly confused.
You won’t get better battery life than the 13 pro max
I have the iPhone 7 and still don’t see any reason to upgrade. Does everything I need it to. I like the button and charging cable too.
There’s plenty of reasons to upgrade.
My fav iphone still using mine ...
Solid 👍🏽
I'm in the same situation, I may upgrade if I can get a good deal, like with the budget pay as you go plans. Mine still works fine.
This is my favorite iPhone so far. I also liked the 8 Plus and the 15 Plus, but the 13 Pro Max is probably the best iPhone so far.
When the 17 pro max comes out, the new 13 pro max will be the 15 pro max. The updates this year were pathetic and next year will be the same.
The best iPhone ever made !!!! I have it for 3 years !!!! Will see what the 16 pro max offers
Excellent. I love it a lot.
Still using my iphone 13 pro maxx!
I wanted to update but after watching the reviews i am keeping it for a little more
13 pro max still running strong 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 ios18 is fire
Love your videos bro. May Christ bless You!
Same to you!
I got this phone in March this year it’s amazing my friend had the 15 pro max it felt looked the same
My first iPhone was a 7 plus was an amazing phone.
I just sold my iphone 16 pro and bought this one used but in mint condition instead. Much better value. =)
I have always said that 13 pro max is the King of IPhones!
best iphone to date.
Hey nick, what do you say on switching to 13 Pro Max from a S22 Ultra? My S22 Ultra has some bugs & problems after a screen replacement, and all I can afford for now is switching to the 13 Pro Max.
Nick what do you recommend? Samsung or iPhone from scratch?
Mine has heating and touch sensitivity issues? I’m torn on upgrading or buying another model. I couldn’t go a week without using my phone, my old phone I’m locked out of
hmmm that's strange did you drop it several times, any battery damage?
@@nickackermanchannel nope
They have been much better than Android (Samsung) in this regard.
ive owned both samsung and iphone, from all phones ive ever had, 13 pm is 100% the best ive ever had, aint gonna upgrade unless it dies, it wont get updates anymore, or the battery gets very bad, but after having it for over 2 years now, just som basic maintaining like not letting it get below 20% and charging with 5w if I dont need to be anywere, and having a 30w charger on the side if i really need to go and i need fast charging, and often using the battery save mode when i know i need the battery to last the whole day, and after just those things the phone still lasts over a day for me while being often used after 2 years
This phone is 95% the same as a 15 pro max.
Nick I'm getting my 1st iphone should I go for 13 pro or 14 pro
When talking about the iPhone 13 Pro Max, 14 Pro Max, and 15 Pro Max, it feels like the quality and durability we notice on the first day gets a bit worse each year.
I use my old 12 Pro Max for work and I’ve been thinking about getting a 13 Pro to replace it. My personal is the 15 Pro Max and I think it’s the perfect size. The 16 Pro Max was to big!
The 16 Pro size is interesting to me, but for me, I still find its price too high.
What you will recommend me 13pro max or 14pro max?
13 Pro Max for the battery life
13PM the battery life is just insane.
So far this being my first pro iPhone it’s lasted me a year longer than my iPhone 11 so def got all my moneys worth thank u Apple even tho yall get on my nerves
got my iphone 13 pro max battery health at 83% and it still holds my battery way much better than the 13/14pros
When the Pixel 9 videos coming in?
I had all the iPhone model on premier days and I always regretted the upgrade.😅 This time I skip the 16 Pro Max
I had a 13 pro max alpine green I upgraded to the 15 pro max. I still have my 13 pro max in my closet. I can’t part with it ❤
Guys I just bought it today ❤
Do you like it? And what color did you get?
I do have an itch to upgrade, but I think the best move I can make is to keep my 13 Pro Max. It has been trouble free and as you said, it still runs like a charm. My battery is down to 90 percent, but I have no issues with it by the end of the day. The thing with Tech is that the longer you hold out you are practically guaranteed more bang for your buck down the road. I enjoy using technology as well as learning about what is coming up the road soon.
