Dave I think I would put a little bit of red insulation tape around the end of that wax spray pipe a couple of inches from the end to save it popping out while I’m still spraying it.
@@DavesGarageuk , I did put some on the roof of my MK2 years ago, few hot summers it didn’t drop down, but I see your dilemma, maybe a bit of tiger seal around the edge of it to “ belt and braces” type of job, it will stop the boom sound , but it’s your beautiful car, if your not in it for miles and miles then better safe than sorry 👍
Great job! I've been buying loads of stuff from Aliexpress, can thoroughly recommend! I'd use a couple of big pieces of that under headlining and on the front wheel tubs outboard of the front footwells. I'm sure they had dome on from factory.
Loving the progress, Once the car is done and on the road and you start to take it to car shows would be a good idea to advertise in advance which shows you will be attending, weather permitting so those that are a long way away (like me in the smoke ) can arrange to do the same.
I have an old convertible that’s a noisy old thing I might put some of that in it see if it shuts it up a bit as I’m fed up listening to my one and only cd 😂 nice job Dave will make a world of difference to the end result I’m sure 👍
Used a similar branded material from Rockville here in the US. Covered every square inch of the interior floor on my Falcon Ranchero and probably have enough left from the roll to do the Elva when it comes time. Nice thing with the Rockville order, it came with.a roller wheel to press the material firmly down. Very satisfied with the result as little road noise penetrates the cabin.
awesome i was looking for somthink to use on my cortina mk4 estate 2.3 v6 cosmos blue when its done it is on youtube on my channle there was hardly anythink left of the car slowly getting there with it on my drive in all types of weather i still carry on working on it thank you for the links to the items used i will defo be using them
Had a quick look at your channel. Its a shame that a lot of these Cortinas & Granadas in much better condition, are being banger raced! I know of a few on a farm waiting to be raced, they just dont give a f*ck.
@@uncensored5104they were very popular with the banger racers 30 years ago when the Yards were full of them but I’m not sure you can get “scrap” ones any more.
I used lanoguad but when I did the chassis I didn’t need to drill holes from inside the car I did it all from underneath there are holes dotted along nice job 👍

That's a good idea
Sheesh that boot floor looks sweet as.
Thank you 😊
Love watching your videos, the roof needs this stuff too, really nice work 👍
I did wonder about putting some on the roof, but worried it may fall off later on

When you do the doors add some to the door skin makes a lot of difference
That just stops panel vibration . You also need closed cell foam and MLV to absorb the airborne noise
Good idea to store the dodo mat in a hot place in the house for a couple of days prior to use just to make it nice and soft and pliable.
Also a good idea 💡
Might be worth putting some on the underside of the roof skin 👍
I'm worried it might drop off in got sunshine, not that we get much of that here 😢
@@DavesGarageuk That's true actually, i always use a high temp spray adhesive just to be on the safe side.
Yes good point. Some lightweight woolly type insulation under the roof (that isn’t too heavy to affect the roof lining) would probably be better.
Agreed. Makes a big difference
I was impressed with the sound deadening of how much you used and still had some left over I did think at the start you would have needed 2 rolls
A tiny bit of heat with a heat gun to relax the glue and use the rolling tool, saves slicing your thumb off. Its surprising what a difference it makes
Great tip ta
Heater box rots out on those

Oh no!! Another buying site to get me hooked on 🤣🤣🤣
AliExpress is brilliant !

Yep, will do 😊
Great job are you doing the roof with dodo? Nice little glimpse of the Mazda bonnet looked good
Hi Mick, thanks, I'm worried that if I stick it to the roof, it'll drop at some point.

Good to know, a roller would definitely have helped

I'll check that out

I would definitely put some on bulkhead. It’s a large panel next to source of noise. Also the roof where a lot of drumming noise can occur.
Nice job dave
Great video Dave, need to look into sound proofing and Temu.
Nice job well done should work a treat . Could do we some for the other half lol
🤣🤣

Another good job well done. Good to hear you find Temu worth using as I have avoided Temu so far, maybe I'll consider using them in future.
Don't blame me 😉😉
