That third shot is so spectacular that it is very reminiscent of the sniper scene in "Saving Private Ryan."
@@TH3_M4Y0_21 this is true story in vietnam war bro i have hear it

My grandfather was a WW2 sniper, and man... we used to play the original Battlefield 1942 together. Your videos and personality remind me of him so much. I miss the old man to this day.
Thanks for making a stranger smile. I'd love to shoot with ya someday.
@@johnswaney9017 the fact that some get ptsd and others become the ptsd blows my mind, your grandfather was a tough bastard bro🖤
@adam_waz_good_4660 Means a lot, man. And, you aren't wrong! He literally wouldn't stop saying "I wanna go back on the field, it's boring here," lol.
He died too young due to heart problems from his years after of being an executive at Honeywell. Y'know, think Mad Men type stuff-- always smoking, always had a glass of scotch or brandy in his hand, and only eating steak, lol. He was a legend.
Thanks for reminding me of him again. It always makes me smile from ear to ear.
My grandfather also fought in WWll, Battle of Midway, and fought in Korea when it was a whole country. And he volunteered for all 3 one after the next.
Those men were something else. We don't see patriotism like that anymore. 😢
@@johnswaney9017 that's so sad, how old was he when he passed away? Sounds like he lived a full life.
Battlefield 1942 was GOATed

Edit: Thanks for the heart Gramps 👍
Im pretty sure death will do that regardless
This would be a nice voice sound too in unreal tournament . Reminds me a bit of that how he said that.
So is this game just sniping? He should play the good ol’ PUBG !!
I mean... It was an intestine shot, but eh.
@@memorysometimers3067 well the game is Sniper Elite 5. So yes it's a sniping stealth game where you kill Nazis and recover documents or assassinate someone or destroy something. Basically hitman but it's 1944 and a bigger focus on snipeing.
The shot through the scope is based off a story about US Marine Sniper Carlos Hathcock when he took a shot based on the glint from an enemy sniper. The crazy part is, in theory, if he saw the glint, the enemy likely also had him in his crosshairs as well. It came down to who shot first & Carlos Hathcock came out on top
@@thebalsamicnewt9978 it didn't go through the scope tho lol
@mike5195 I'm just telling the story how it's told, man
@@mike5195 it did. I know the myth busters tested it twice but they just got it wrong twice. There are some guys on TH-cam that retested it properly and it went through the scope, just like the story.
@@luke2794 I'm talking about the shot in the game lmao

Just wondering where Gramps was on November 22nd 1963??...
😂😂😂
WWII had the best ending but vietnam had the best theme song😂
I an Australuan Army vet with mental health issues.
Thank you for your channel.
not just a theme song but an entire soundtrack
Sniper elite is so good for those slowmo shots. Used to play the first one with my brother. Every time the slowmo started, we all stood up and and stared at the screen. At first in silence, but the further it went, the louder we got.
I always turn the slow-mo shot occurrences all the way up.
That gotcha was prolly the most badass "gotcha" ive ever heard
This man really proves that gaming skill may not translate to real life but real life shooting skills definitely work in game
I seriously don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard of someone shoot the bullet THROUGH the scope 😅
The only place that it happened, was the WWII movie Saving Private Ryan.

Coolest grandpa 👴
As a army sniper, I can tell you that from 2+ is very impressive. I did 2 tours and never hit anything like this before. even tho this is a video game still pretty impressive and shows how much skill that Gramps have. Much love from the army grandpa. keep it up and making fantastic videos
@@TraceyTracer697 what unit?! Infantry here
I believe you are lying Tracey. What you are is a desk jockey who didn’t see anything. It’s a video game, this doesn’t equate to anything.
"that went through the scope" reminds me of Saving Private Ryan
You always keep it interesting!
"Simo Häyhä is the most deadliest sniper-"
This grandpa: "Hold my beer, son."
You should play Hell let loose once, it‘s a lot lore realistic than BF 2042 because every hit is a one-shot.
I hate people that say because he's a veteran that's why he's good he's just good at shooting games
Nothing but money shots there
I love how he’s not holding his breath for the extra challenge 😂
Fucking amazing watching granpa reliving his youth
I remember putting a comment a while ago where I recommended this Game, this man's precision is incredible
That happened to a Vietnamese sniper known as cobra, Carlos Hathcock II took the shot
That "Gotcha" was bone-chilling. Fear an old man in a profession where men die young.
Hi there, I just wanted to say I really admire your service and your gaming skills! I’m a big fan of DayZ, and I think it would be amazing to see you share one of your gaming videos from the game one day. It's terrifying hearing Grandpa say "Gotcha" very softly.
Gramps with the Carlos Hathcock shot

The second shot. How is that even possible? You weren't even aiming at him 😮

Everytime i see this guy i think of my dad. Us marines 1985-1992. That same laughing after shooting you vibe. Love him.
This man should scare anyone. Actual War Vet and he clearly doesnt have PTSD… He *IS* the PTSD. Can you imagine a conflict starts and he “dusts off his rifle”? … and you start hearing that laugh ? “Ohhh hehehehe that had to hurt” ? Id be terrified
He was a diver
I love when people come to the comments and make up sh*t in their head about veterans as if they’re all former special forces 😂.
That "Gotcha" was delightfully menacing.
This man doesnt have PTSD, he has nostalgia.
The fact that you don't click the right stick in to use focus on the game is awe-inspiring
You can tell that second guy was stunned by how clean his death. Dude said 😮
I remember doing a headshot only challenge for the entire game. Took me 17 hours. 11 hours for sleep, 6 for gameplay
My grandfather fought in WW2 and every time I came over I’d bring my game console and play WW2 shooter and grandpa would tell his war stories and even educate me on the weaponry and equipment I was using in the game. He gave me a lot of tips and methods that they used in the battlefield and I was able to use them in game which made me an even better player. I miss him so much, he was a angry drunk but he was a good man and my hero
It's a pity I don't have such a mentality in Russia and my Soviet compatriots don't like video games and movies. Cool, your grandfather liked video games.
I remember people saying "shooting a sniper through the scope is impossible", whelp, I guess grndpagaming proved them wrong. The fact he knew by looking at the bullet it went through the scope based on the drops tells you everything.
That voice crack with the first shot i tensed when it hit ngl😂 made the whole clip 10x better❤❤❤

This man is dangerous bro. He has to be on at least a watchlist from five different countries. Lock him up bro
Absolute favorite game for sniping. My dad, uncle and me used to have a competition on who could land a kill from the farthest distance. My dad won by setting himself up on a mountain and getting a cross map body shot. I never even came close to beating him😂
Ngl i love watching old veterans play war games just to see how fun they think it is
This is terrifying to see how deadly someone can be with a singular gun
That last shot was so raw the camera panned down to show the guy shitting his pants XD
This man is unironically so entertaining to watch, a lot of people only know him through shorts but try the channel out seriously
In order to get a shot through the scope the guy you're shooting at needed to be aiming directly at you lmao
That nod really shows that he knows what he's doing.
Gramps pulled off a Carlos Hathcock and laughed it off… what a legend 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sniper elite is one of my favorite games of all time. By far the best sniper game to ever do it. I like shooting the grenades on enemy belts when they are grouped up. That slow mo never gets old.

I fucking love an old man gaming like this. It’s just bloody brilliant!
Keep doing this my grandpa was in the military but didn’t go in any war he was just posted in Poland or near there in the Cold War but i respect you, and I know my grandpa would too
Ooh-rah, as a retired marine, I'll stand by you on the ramparts any day, sir. Hopefully, we'll never have to stand there again. Semper fi

Vietnam era music hits so f****** hard you can play Vietnam era music while doing anything and it makes it so much more better
Imagine watching for the enemy through the scope and seeing a bullet coming right at your eyes ☠️
It said "intestine shot" so it wasn't a nut shot unfortunately. Still deadly anyway.
I love how your eyebrows furrow together before you take the shot! Mine do the same when I'm super focused too!!
Gaming grandpa is so good he re-created the shot Carlos hathcock landed on the cobra
No way you come back from war with nostalgia. Most likely never saw combat
I love seeing that seeing a Grandpa play such games and actually enjoys it. Go get em gramps! 🎉
The last thing you wanna hear from a sniper: Gotcha
The ‘Grandpa’ lore in this one goes crazy…
Normal gamers: "OH MY GOD, I DID THAT?!?! 🤯"
This guy: "Hahaha, works everytime 😂"
I personally enjoy how in DEPTH the makers were on gun play. And seeing the sniper grandpa have at it, ooo chills my friend!
Moral of the story actally knowing how the optics work makes them work better lol
Ok grandpa… video game time is over for today… you’re enjoying it TOO MUCH! 😂😂😂
Straight up ended that first guy's ENTIRE lineage.
