    Yes it rained a lot but the bad infrastructure is also to blame for flooding.

    This is not a rain issue, it's the infrustructure out of the date

      Out of date cuz it didn't account for extreme rain of climate change.

    Climate change isn't a thing bro. Totally normal for July rainfall to be intense enough to cause city-wide flooding and power outages bro. Happens all the time bro. Trust me bro.

    Our sewer systems and roads are not equipped for this population. They keep building downtown condos without a care. We have bad city planners.

    • @JohnShields-df8od

      And what prey tell do high rise condos have to do with the amount of rain we get. That has nothing to do with the run off rate.

    • @caddystube

      @JohnShields-df8od you do know high rise buildings use the same sewer systems right? You do know they rarely add extra capacity, right? Next you're going to tell traffic jams downtown have nothing to do with all the extra cars from all the extra homes. Lol

    • @JohnShields-df8od

      I will assume that you are not aware that sanitary sewers and stormwater sewers are different.

    • @caddystube

      @JohnShields-df8od FYI....23% of Toronto is "combined sewer". That % is wayyy higher downtown.

    • @caddystube

      @JohnShields-df8od that was a good debate. Unfortunately Google doesn't allow citations via web link....even from a Government website. Odd.

  • @happyjud

    This is not to blame on climate change. This is to blame on Toronto city planning. How many buildings do you think can be built without adding sewers, more pipes underground to carry away any sewage and rain water. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. There was never a flooding problem when I grew up on the city.
    And how & why exactly is Toronto in debt for 26 billion ? Especially with the increased population and housing from all these mega tall buildings ? Money wasted somewhere. Now you pay the price and peoples homes and properties affected.
    What the heck is wrong with all these elected government officials ? Are only brain dead people seeking election ?
