As if they wouldn't show demonic cults and being marooned in space in the CBeebies show. If I remember correctly the finale of season 1 was about Sarah Jane being prosecuted because the whole world thought she abducted Luke from his real family, and then he was taken from her. And there's a whole episode about how she needs to let her parents die in a car crash. Quality kid show entertainment, 10/10
So the Doctor sent Agatha Christie a note asking for help in a life or death situation and instead of responding she instead shamelessly stole the idea, used it for a bestselling novel, and presumably never even thought about whether the Doctor survived as she raked in the royalties for his harrowing adventure? That is weirdly on-brand.
I mean, just because he wrote those letters doesn't mean he sent all them. It's like when you write a tweet to vent, but don't send it. It's mostly for you.
The art for those TV comics are really, really good. A quick glance at the Tardis wiki doesn't seem to give a name for the artist, but he seems absolutely ahead of his time. Absolutely fantastic, way better than some stuff I've seen from, for example, Marvel around the same time
I've got that Time Lord Letters book. Has some really good letters, but apparantly the Eighth Doctor was too busy to ever write a letter, being the only one that they have not in there.
Time Lord Letters was such a wierd thing... of particular note was one letter the 6th Doctor sent to the Inquisitor post-Trial of a time lords where he self-quotes his "power mad conspirators" line twice in two paragraphs. Stellar
maybe jewel was a planet of renegade time lords that the doctor sometimes helped out and just set up shop on the barren planet until the time lords found out about them and sent them to shada which is why we never see them again
Audio Sarah battles cult’s and go’s to space whilst TV Sarah battles evil jumpscare Bradley Walsh and a guy with dodgy views. I’m not sure who’s life is worst to be honest
The BF SJS stories had some brilliant elements, like a wheelchair user as one of the main characters, played by Sladen’s daughter no less. Sladen is a great actor and gives it her all. But it frustrated me even at the time when I was like 14 and less skeptical of the Dark Serious tone that she had so little agency in her own story.
I wonder if it was on purpose that we got a Big Finish Sarah Jane fact around the same time as the Rani news. If DAVIS sees this, I hope he knows about the news.

My solution to all this is to just consider all media outside the shows as non-canon or at the most consider them second level canon.
