    I found your videos a few days ago and can’t stop watching them. Thank you so much for your ideas. They have given me the courage to try them myself.

      I am very happy to hear that. Take it slow. Quilting needs time and practice and love. It is like learning to write. I started quilting for real eight years ago. It took me about half an year of regular practice to get pretty decent. After that it was a constnt improvement. ❤❤❤

    Your videos are by far my favorites. I love watching in real time and they are long enough for my brain to absorb the structure of the design and the rhythm of the movement over the quilt. The relaxing quiet music and occasional comments are perfect for the end of a busy day. THANK YOU!!!

      You are very welcome. I just wrote back to a similar feedback. I make videos that I want to watch. Detailed, slow, showing also the more complex bits. Quilting is a slow art and I want to show it like that. The multiple speed videos are misleading. And I also need a moment to calm down and relax. Thank you for this awsome feedback and hopefully see you soon❤❤❤

    Dropping in to give you a thumbs-up, my friend. It's always so restful and instructive to watch you quilt, Gosia. It's almost time for me to clear and organize my tables, do some practice sandwiches and get ready to pull out that unfinished quilt, get it done. God bless you and your family! ~Cynthia

      Dear Cynthia, Thank you for the support and your feedback! Keeping my fingers crossed for your new sewing space. I wish you tons of creativity. Talking about unfinished quilts.... my growing scraps made me feel guilty so I started (!) a new scrap quilt. I have two unfinished quilts and some other projects but it was necessery to organize and use scraps.... this hobby.....
      With best wishes of peace and joy!!!!

      Hi there! Thank you for your feedback! It seems, #3 is a winner :) . But all of them have their advantages and you can use them to step up your skills. Have fun! ❤❤❤

    This is my very favorite quilting video. Just repetition, occasional written comments, and quiet, soothing music. Perfect!

      Hi there! Thank you for this great feedback. I make content that I like to watch. Quilting is in the focus and not my person. I do not like chatting and often than not, quilting is my way of relaxing. And I prefer a real time speed than the accelerated videos. Quilting is not difficult but it takes time and skill and it is a slow art. I am so greatful I keep finding people that think like me ❤❤❤❤

      Thank you most kindly. How is your new Juki doing? I am happy I can give back, as I learned from others also from YT. In addition to adding to my skills, the quilting time helps me to regenerate from stress. I wish you the same ❤❤❤

    Thank you for making these videos I am inspired by then. I have a little girl's wuilt that needs finishing and I think this will be the all over design used.😊
    I save the videos and when I get stuck for a design I will find one in them.

    These videos are amazing. I love the relaxing music and quilting rhythm. I have a q20 and am probably trying to work too quickly. The slow and steady motions inspire me to rethink my quilting. Thank you!!

      hi there, thank you for your comment and thoughts. Many quilters told me that they were thought to quilt fast. I prefer the "find your own speed" approach. I noticed that I am more effective and my quilting is better when I quilt at nice constant speed. It is almost the same like on the videos. This is also the reson why I never accelerate my videos. Quilting is a slow art and I love that. Try the slower way. Try out some nice instrumental music and see what happens❤❤❤

    I am a new subscriber. Thank you so much for this tutorial! It helps me to “see” how to use a pattern to fill space easily. I have been chicken to try free motion, but maybe now I can figure it out.

      Hi there, welcome! FMQ is not a quantum physics. Try it. All you can loose is some fabric and batting. What you can gain is a wonderful way to channel your creativity. I have some very basic videos and all you need is patiance and love of progress ❤❤❤ Please let me know how it is going.

    All three are beautiful. You have so much patience! I think the word you are looking for is plume petals, not plum petals, and that one is my favorite.

    • @quiltingnerd

      Thank you for the feedback! I like all of them but I use the last one most often. And thank you for the correction. My Englich is pretty good, but the spelling can go wrong now and then😅😂❤❤❤

    • @tzfatree
      @tzfatree 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@quiltingnerd The problems arise when the misspelled word is actually a different word. Plums are fruits, and I knew that is not what you meant. I am an editor in addition to being a quilter, so I can’t stop myself from making corrections. Your English is great!

      Thank you, I appriciate that. I lerned mostly from books and audibooks and as a Polish native I have a total disregard for the articles ;) And sometimes I think faster than I can write. You should see me checking the daisy and paisley.....🤣@@tzfatree

      @@quiltingnerdfor the record, I adore your "plum" instead of plume. I think it's easy enough to recognise as "what it should be" and I just love the fact that not being perfectly fluent in English does not hold you back. Thanks for your wonderful videos. I have learnt much from you. P's, I find polyester thread works better for my FMQ than cotton, which breaks all the time.

    • @quiltingnerd
      @quiltingnerd  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Machines have their own personalities and preferences. I noticed that long time ago. Mine does not like yellow polyester thread. It doesn't matter the vendor, it will break! And please watch my videos and let me know when I make such typos. Sometimes I simply do not notice. When I read, I read sentences and paragraphs, not words. Your comment was a very nice reminder, I should pay more attention. Greetings from Dresden😀❤❤❤@@cinziabeley7059

    So beautiful and relaxing to watch. Is it the filming or is you presser foot quiet high? sorry for questions but I am just learning!

    • @quiltingnerd
      @quiltingnerd  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I am using gliding feet. and sometimes, I using setting for my ruler foot. It is something typical for my Janome. I have settings for the ruler foot when the foot is at one height position no matter what. And there is the free motion setting where the height is adjusted at the place you are quilting. So the foor comes down and then lifts off a bit. Sometimes I switch back between the settings, depending on my sandwich. ❤❤❤
