- In this Excel video tutorial, we gonna see how to create a monthly budget spreadsheet in Excel with a Excel Dashboard step by step from scratch.
So, in this free Excel tutorial, we gonna create both interactive Dashboard in Excel and a dynamic cash flow spreadsheet in Excel.
This Excel spreadsheet file will included my both Income and expenses. But, we gonna divide expenses into two, fixed expenses and variable exepenses.
We also gonna create a remaining value formula to check our remaining cash by month, or I mean, how much we have left in the bank account. Moreover, we gonna also built a row to display the balance per month.
The only function that we gonna use is the SUM function in the Excel.
The SUM function in Excel add up values in a range. The SUM formula is a Math and Trigonometry function.

I have watched about a dozen of these videos, and this is by far the BEST one. All the others were so complicated. I have monthly fixed income, variable income, variable expenses, fixed expenses, manual fixed expenses, autopay fixed expenses. So I just used your format exactly. Thank you. Everyone else was doing sumif, etc and I was lost. Now the only thing I need to do is have a check box somewhere after each month maybe to show when the stuff have come out of the bank.
That’s what I was looking for!!!! Thanks again ❤
Thank you!
Hi Jopa. I've used your template in Libre Office. It works fine but I don't need the dashboard. I'm use to data analysis

My pleasure, sir! Thank you 🙏
I can't figure out the gradients, so I just did without them. However, my real problem is getting the percentages (only) to show up inside the colors on the circumfrene of th donut. It shows the legend, the actual value, and then the percentage.
Great video, how do you add the redlines when you are explaining something?
