- join me as I decorate the guest cottage porch or veranda as we call it here in England! Depending on where in the world you are it’s either porch or veranda! It’s a full makeover as it hasn’t been refreshed for some time so there will be lots of porch decorating ideas, lots of upcycling and, as we are in the country, we will be foraging and decorating from nature! The vintage outdoor bathtub will be in full flow, the porch swing will be dressed along with the sofa, chairs and my beloved rocking chair! Enjoy! 🙏🏼

Oh, in our last home, the mantle was very narrow. My husband painted and attached a deeper board right on top…perfect…just a suggestion so you have more decor usage options.

How wonderful is this!!! Having a sip of tea or a glass of spirits.... lounging on the veranda or submerging yourself in an old vintage tub. MY heart is enjoying this as if I were there. Can you tell I love being outdoors.🥰😊 Using Real furniture for outdoor living spaces makes it so much more charming and authentic. That's what I love about your styling designs. I have a small veranda which I created as part of my garden studio . It has a bench and its slowly developing into a usable outdoor space ...your ideas are really inspiring ✨️ Really looking forward to incorporating some of them for this summer ❤

A new friend from the other side of the pond! Just subscribed. You decorate much the same as I do here in WI, USA. I also have a old-fashioned covered front porch w/rails & spindles & gingerbread trim. It's all painted red/white/blue. A lot of work, but, very patriotic. I also have a wood rocking chair & a park bench. I love the furniture you got from the Shops I have a sm wooden drop down table, a screened door cabinet. I have a window box planter on a stand. It's a old window attached to a planting box w/ a rusted metal piece as a awning. So cute. Great job!

What a lovely space to relax and enjoy. I too love found items at charity stores or flea markets. I absolutely adore mirrors on the porch but my porch faces west so I get lots of full sun. Hi Tracy..your sub from WV. USA..I think I will end up watching every video of yours. You have amazing energy. My friends think I am crazy, because like you I change stuff all.porch,rooms,decor,etc. Where we live was an old little fishing cabin . There was nine or ten cabins on our road and men came here to fish and hunt. Our property goes down to the river. Of course the little cabin is more cottage style, but only has one bathroom . We do have a good size garage. Hey, ai found an old vase in the basement today, that I have never seen. I am doing the chalk paint, dirt and baking soda…hope it comes out well . Love your style…both your home, and your personal style. ❤❤❤❤

wow, you salvaged quite a lot of furniture! these piecesmay be a barghain, but they certainly not look like it anymore. I love the styling, fits perfrctly for a smaller space. I struggled quite a lot with my veranda (because it is usually filled with fireplace wood and working tools of my husband) so I might try some of the tips and see, if I can reclaim the space :D

I'm always looking for ways to spruce up my front porch, but where I live here in the U.S. (California) we get windstorms that appear out of nowhere so those beautiful pots and mirrors would get demolished. Do your clear everything off yearly and decorate differently every year? You amaze me. I love how you decorate. Do you slightly glue the candle sticks and things down so your not running around the yard trying to catch everything. I'm amazed and can't stop watching.😮
We have a temperate climate here so no need too, nothing get’s particularly damaged by weather fortunately. I’m always moving things around as I love to decorate! 😃

I don’t Debra as the veranda is very sheltered, our climate is temperate and the books are already in poor condition… they were a job lot of hundreds at auction for £10!! Happy decorating!😊♥️
