My wife and I have Kahles scopes on all of our hunting rifles. Kahles are the clearest scopes around; I can’t recommend their hunting models enough. I’m sure this model is incredible also! Great review, thanks for sharing!
Nice equipment. Really like the left side windage. I am a right-handed shooter, but left side control for me means right-hand trigger placement, and cheek/eye place stays consistently still on the target. Great video, and thank you for sharing.
Funny I'm sure you can do the same things with a vortex or an arken shit maybe even a amazon budget scope guy on TH-cam tried he was hitting 300yd with a 50 dollar scope lol ......I'm sure it's 1000% better quality than anything cheap .....just saying just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's not decent
Yeah Kahles the Pioneer of Binoculars and Riflescopes as we know it today, i have 2 Kahles Helia 5 2.4-12x56 on my Hunting Rifles (from Driven Hunts, Stalking and Treestand they work) and one 525i on my Rangerifle they are great 👍 but i also like my Zeiss V8 1.8-14x50 on my other Hunting Rifle its hard to pick one i like the most Nice shooting as allways
Oof! Kahles bringing the heat lately. I enjoyed the couple k525i’s and 624i’s I ran a few years ago. They seem to be going the right direction with these new offerings.
Thanks for the review Ray, nice and short, Kahles speaks for itself. Versus a ZC840, is the left side elevation and top adjusting parallax and FOV at 40X enough to go for this? MSRP is a decent bit more than even a T3 FDE ZC840, I dont mind the price but wondering if the few 100 more is worth it, given the Kahles reticles leave a lot to be desired.
I had a 10x50 moak and sold it, it was a great scope but I have a 10x50 sightron ed that is same as maybe a touch better optically to my eye, the key is your eye is what see's the image not someone's word, I have NF Comp, NXS, March.... the NF comp and the sightron are my favs..to my eye the sightron is best but the Kahles seemed to have the upper hand in the bullet hole size at 100 holding inside a bullet hole in a quadrant and seeing the edge of a hole cut in paper is pretty awesome and seing bullet holes at 500 yds is great also
Thank You Sir! I was interested in the reticle and another commenter mentioned it might be the SKMR4 or could there be a new SKMR5? 🤔 Also, is there little to no distortion at the edges of the lenses? You mentioned "field of vision", could you see all three targets even at 40 power? 👍🇺🇲
@ You can have it, I’m flogging it off. It’s a great scope but it has the NP-R2 Moa recticle. I want a Mil-Rad scope. If you are in Australia I’ll sell it to ya.
Why? They don’t want to deal in that particular market. Find any other cheap Chinese manufactured optic and choose that if you want a cheap alternative
If you are disciplined enough, you can save up for one. If you are looking at buying any sort of European optic, it's going going to cost ya. For hunting optics for a Zeiss v4, Steiner Predator 4 or a Swarovski Z3 msrp is around 1000, that's for regular hunting scope . The more features an optic has, the more expensive it's going be. Front focal plane, parallax adjustment, and tactical turrets are features that cost extra manufacturer being a moot point. Most European manufacturers use Schott Glass. That's the best glass in the world. You do get what you pay for. Arkan and Leupold offer more budget friendly options for similar features.
It seems like you can't go wrong with a 56 mm objective and a 36 mm main tube. The ability to use the eye box... Must becoming from decent pupil exit size on max power😅 It takes a max power wallet, but hey that's life 🤣
I’m surprised there wasn’t more to discuss. No mention of glass, IQ, FOV, and what feature set justifies the price tag. Must be an underwhelming product.
It’s a kahles. Their glass clarity speaks for itself. If you’ve never looked thru one just say that. As far as reticles it’ll be offered in many per usual. And yes they’re expensive all the top tier brand new models are expensive. Now is the time to buy the 5-25 people will offload for cheap on the forums
Marksmanship is such a finely tuned skill that takes years of practice. It's unfortunate that instead of actually training people in the military, they're going to institute things like exacto. Rounds, which relies. completely on programming, so what happens when your programming goes down?
The war was 8 decades ago. Doubtful anyone associated with production from that time are still leaning over a workbench today. Don't paint people now with an ancestral sin. Your purchases are your choice however, so find a competitor that makes a suitable scope. I encourage all the brands to keep one upping each other so us customers benefit. Though our wallets scream in agony. lol

What does the reticle look like?....Never mind I cant afford it!
It’s probly the SKMR4
Lol😂😂
You shouldn’t have commented poor things
You would be suprised what you can save if you truely want to.

I absolutely love my Kahles scope, they are simply magnificent
I bought a binoculars several years ago and they are crystal clear i do like the multi adjustment setup and the knob adjustment thanks Ray
WOW! What an advancement compared to my 624i. That zoom ratio is insane. Kahles is by far my favorite scope manufacturer.
I recently purchased a 525i DLR and I am very happy with it. excellent scope.
The 540 i is more powerful 👍

So someone Finally made a scope for right handed shooters!
Mate that to the new backcountry cartridge
Nice scope, good info. Thanks
I guess it's safe to assume the reticle is in milliradians? Seems like an important detail.
Great vid ray….i shoot kahles on everything i have and will prolly buy this one next !!!!

In my opinion Kahles is the best Scope.
Not the absolute best glass, Damn close, but really awesome quality !!
My dream scope!

SKMR4+
please compare this to other current scopes....like March Genesis or High Master
The sword of Kahles lol
Glory to you... and your houusse.
Ray does resemble an older Mark Lenard a bit, so it's a bit of Romulan too. 😂
🤣 my nickname was Spock there for a while. 🤣
@@XRING haha, I could see it!
Qapla' !
How useful is the reticle with such a wide magnification range?
Hey Ray, is this the year we get to see the “game changer” of an action you mentioned last year? I hope all is well!
Hello Chet. Thank you for inquiring and remembering. That patent was sold so not sure what will happen to it. .
Man that’s a nice scope, if you recommend it must a damn good scope. Time for me to replace my old NF NXS.
😀.
I’ll take NF from u 🤣

I’m drooling. How many kidneys is it?
Glory to you.. and your houusse.
😂
The minute I saw the title I knew there would be overly bulging eyeballs somewhere!
How does the eye box compare between this model and the ZCO?
@X-RING how would you compare it to a zero compromise 8-40 ? Which you find better for Prs especially in shifty conditions ?
How many mills of elevation vs the 525i ?
Hopefully it has a true .2mil Christmas tree reticle horizontally and vertically.
Plantation?! South Carolina?! KAHLES Optic?! Has the makings of something sinister.
Reticle please
Try looking on the website for Kahles.
It's the same 2 they have been using 🙄
This better than Tangent??
IOR Crusader 2.0 was a 5-40×56 since a few years ago. Its only limitation is a poor christmas-tree reticle.
Actually the limiting factor on that scope is that its an IOR. 😉
@HLDefender oh, look, another hater
What is the elevation turret capacity? In mrad or moa
29 mills
What's the price range?
TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Have they changed and upgraded the RET?
Nope
What gun are you running that optic on?
Accuracy International
AT-X I believe is the model
Good one but scopes are getting bigger and heavier That’s fine but don’t take it on a long hike
price?
Kahles better get a budget scope around 3-4 Hundred. Very few people are going to buy a $4500 scope.
Why? They don’t want to deal in that particular market. Find any other cheap Chinese manufactured optic and choose that if you want a cheap alternative
nah. If you want an Arken, you can just buy one.

Another $3500 scope
Soo they make scopes and used to make scopes with swastikas? Nah I'll pass, the north remembers
