- The last Pokémon games for the now classic Nintendo 3DS console hit the market with the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon. Not only Mega Evolutions would make a comeback, but also Z-moves would be introduced, as well as the largest selection of Pokémon to date, including the iconic Ultra Beasts.

Ultra Moon is where my living dex is staying. Some real rare, old pokemon in there. Got a 22 year old Rayquaza.
I have Ultra Sun and I had to transfer almost all my Pokémon to Home, but left a couple of them for the memories
I wouldn’t recommend it, pokemon bank won’t be around forever it would probably be best to transfer some of those mons to switch before they’re land locked
@Haydenrwyatt I'm dubious as not all of them are transferable and I shouldn't have to pay a subscription to keep them in Home.
@@RealEisenBerg If you want you can use powersaves 3ds to keep a save file backed up. Transfer all your mons to bank and then use the save backup to revert to the old save. You'll keep your mons in pokemon home and your copy of a gen 7 game.

I hated S/M when they came out, but this video makes me realize that a lot more love was put into those games than I originally thought.
I completely agree that there was a lot of love put into these games, the silly and dark things are many in these games and the available Pokémon

I agree. I feel like this is the only other generation that was on par with Gen 5. There's just so much going on and just done so well for the system they are on.

USUM are highly underrated, though, given the context of their release it's understandable. I hope more people play these games at some point, maybe your video will inspire them to do so!
Thanks a lot, Emilia. I think that as time goes by, USUM are drawing more attention and make some fans value a bit more a generation that is not as loved as others. They're not perfect games, but I really wish we had some of its features in more recent games. Greetings!
This iceberg is absolutely amazing I absolutely adore this series and cannot wait to see the sword and shield ice berg. The Alola games are some of the best in the series there really unique the most unique in the series being that there isn't any gyms you can travel through space to get to other dimensions and the games are pretty difficult (especially for Nuzlokes) they have a great soundtrack a lot of the new Pokémon designs are really cool and I would say the full evolution of the starters are the 2nd best starter trio (I like the Paldea starters a bit more). Really looking forward to the sword and shield iceberg while this is an unpopular Opinion I think sword and shield are some of the best mainline games. Also I would definitely pick the 3rd meowth (he has so much personality) way better than the other 2.
I'm sorry but I don't agree at all... with your Meowth choice... About the rest, definitely a lot of passion was put into Sun and Moon in comparison to other Pokémon games. I really liked these games when I played them back in the day, but when you do research and discover all those small details that weren't at all necessary but are still there, you realize Game Freak was thinking about the Pokémon fans more than in other projects. Sun and Moon mean the WORLD to me, I adore how committed they were to fleshing out the ecology of Pokemon and depicting even the grizzly sides of nature as something beautiful. Man, I need to go to Hawaii again some day...

Darkest day as an allegory to global warming and its consequences
This is more so in the way that Rose tries to avert a disaster that would happen in the future, yet once it happens it would be catastrophic.
One can compare this to global warming and despite its most dangerous points being far away from us, let's say "a millennium", not taking action now could amplify the disaster. As rose himself said, "We must take action to avert tragedy!"
You can interpret this as him trying to warn us to not rest on laurels, even if it seems like the consequences would be in a millennium: we need to take action, lest tragedy will be dire.
When talking to Leon he says, "know that the energy required to keep this [...] world alive will be exhausted a millennium from now! The people of Galar today will no longer even exist. What Galar wants today hardly matters! The future is more important than just one day! We must act as quickly as we possibly can! We must take action in order to avert tragedy! So that all can look forward to a better future!"
Also adding since I forgot:
Galarian Corsola and Cursola seem to be inspired by coral bleaching, a byproduct of global warming, which further adds to the connection

idk why almost nobody talk about the fact that pokemon moon was leaked on 4chan a week before it´s official launch, i remember that everyone was going crazy beacuse a dude leaking the game by photos first and then he leaked the entire game file to download it

I was expecting the theory of UBs being the humans of the game being here. The similarities between Lusamine and Pheromosa, Lilie and Nihilego and Gladion and base Necrozma are especially in your face. And notice, all of them are family. Great video nontheless.

@taylorcullimore It was very popular around when Lillie and Nihilego were revealed, up until release. Now we know Lillie's resemblance to Nihilego was on purpose, as probably was Lusamine looking like Pheromosa, no shapeshifting UBs needed.
@@christiancinnabars1402 You can tell that was the original plan for the game though. It's not just them looking like UBs. Guzma is literally Xurkitree, Hala looks suspiciously close to Guzzlord (especially since they chose to give Guzzlord a sumo stance in its official art) and Gladion has the same hand spasms that base Necrozma has, minus hitting his head.

i really liked these games, a lot of people complained about the lack of gyms but personally i liked the alola challenges more,it was a fresh touch for these games and the rest of the characters and everything its fine,the only change i didnt like was lusamine from the original to the ultra version,they tonned down her evilness for these releases maybe due to anime comparisons i guess

I think it's the same for me, although I enjoyed SS and SV I put a lot of hours into Sun and Moon and USUM and I also got a ton of competitive Pokémon. It took me like 4 years to go back to Pokémon on the Switch. Thanks for your comment!
Gen 7 is my favorite Gen.
-Its the last main series games that all existing Pokemon can exist (either catching/obtaining it within the game or via transfering from old games)
-It was also the last main series games where all battle gimmicks exists. (Granted there were only two at the time. Mega evolution and Z-moves).
-It is where my favorite starter and strongest VGC starter debuted. Incineroar
-Ultra Necrozma were the hardest boss battle at the time. (Assuming you dont cheese the AI using disguise)
-Gen 7 pushed the limits of the 3ds with better graphics and better 3d. You know it was made with effort and passion. (I cant say the same for the ruahed Switch main series games. I still cant believe Pokemon SV runs in the same console as Zelda BOTW)
-Alolan regional forms were amazing. It is the Gen where the concept of regional forms started. (I hated the fact that only Kanto mons received Alolan forms)
