the only mention of zacian being a "girl" and "zamazenta's sister" is only ever mentioned in the english version of the games. this wouldn't be the first time a translation team for a nintendo game pulled random lore out of their ass. 😭
People like to complain about the animations and I won’t lie they can sometimes be atrocious but it’s the reason why they say it’s bad that gets me angry, game freak isn’t lazy they are overworked with horrible crunch time
And then you have the "hallways bad" morons who think huge barren wastelands grow on trees.
Let's leave out they would get a heart attack at the Library of the first Halo, they're exacerbating the crunch issue by forcing unnecessary gimmicks on an already out of hand mess.
The people who say that know NOTHING about game development... The Minecraft fanbase also throws around the "devs are lazy" card every time things don't go their way. Its super annoying.
I don't think they realize how much time it actually takes to make video games (its honestly impressive that GameFreak is able to make games at all in such a short time frame).

This was my re-introduction to the franchise after years of not buying a Pokémon game (last was HGSS in 2009) ao I bought a switch and the game on the same day of release and got back home with the console after a long day of work. To enjoy a new adventure. Bot the best game ever but I like what it can offer for challenge runs. The dlc fixed some of the gripes. But GF can certainly do better.
Honestly was shocked when you announced you had reached 7000 subscribers, I was convinced you had way more! 😅
When I realize my love of this channel is more niche than I thought
There's actually a lot of lore about Eternatus in the game told through many of the locations of the game.
Literally every town and city in the region had some kind of connection to the legend of Galar (except for ballonlea for the whole hidden fairy town aesthetic and spikemuth for being the town that doesn't relate to dynamax).
Eternatus fell like a meteor on Galar (the other probably in the place where the dynamax adventures take place in current times) and forced Calyrex to teleport an entire forest to save the pokemon living there (the same forest that is now near the house of the player and that was probably what was there instead of the dynamax adventures place). Turning pokemon into giants while flying through the region (passing through the crown tundra and some of the islands near the Isle of armor).
While passing through Hulbury it ended up causing the existence of the first gmax pokemon (gmax toxtricity) that saved hulbury from the attack and that it was so big that people from Milo's town were able to see it happen (and thus, created the geoglypht).
Around the same time, Regigigas, that was roaming around Galar (that's why there's so many places called "Giant's something" in the region) saw the first darkest day as a giant "storm" of dynamax energy (which is dragon type energy) which was very likely what inspired regigigas for the creation of regieleki (electric type regi inspired by the "storm") and regidrago (made literally from the draconic energy left in the process).
Then the ancestors of Swordward and Shieldbert (that witnessed Eternatus arrival on Galar) were the ones that found the shrine with the ancient relics necessary to summon Zacian and Zamazenta (after Calyrex teleported the entire forest to mainland Galar) and they used them to summon both of them.
And thus, Calyrex and Kubfu/Urshifu (the fairy king and the fighting master) made a team with Zacian and Zamazenta (the hero duo) to defeat Eternatus and after defeating it, this made Eternatus scatter wishing stars through the entire region.
This fight was so intense that Calyrex ended up super injured and was rescued by the people of the crown tundra that healed him up. And even then Calyrex was still so traumatized from the fight that he couldn't see people with an opened hand because it reminded him of Eternatus. And Zacian and Zamazenta got so hurt that they needed to go to the (currently called) "Hero's bath" in Circhester to heal their wounds before going back to their shrine.
Because of this, the people of Galar attributed the entire victory to the ancestors of Swordward and Shieldbert (creating the ancient tapestries to remember the real legend) but the events of legend eventually got so mixed up with the pass of the centuries that people ended up believing that it was just a single human hero with a sword and a shield who saved the day back then.
Eternatus fell into what currently are one of the Galar mines owned by Rose and was discovered by him eventually, taking it to hammerlock to (eventually) start his plan.
It's very likely that Eternatus arrival 3000 years ago caused several (permanent) mutations to pokemon and plants while flying through the region due to overexposure to its energy. Like Calyrex's blue aura, the giant tree from the crown tundra, the galarian legendary birds (that I personally think that are three flying type pokemon mutated by Eternatus energy) and the tree where you can currently find the max honey in the isle of armor and the max mushrooms that you can find through the entire (main) island as well.

I wish you would’ve included the original leaked storyline of SwSh before the games were official released. To summarize it, Leon was a fraud and all his matches were rigged, the Chairman was behind it all. It is why Piers doesn’t use dynamax in his gym, he defied the chairman’s rigged matches and the chairman spread rumors about him being a terrible person. It is why Marnie is trying to become champion and why team yell is backing her up, to oppose the chairman/ Leon/ Macro Cosmos. It is also why Hop originally becomes depressed mid-way through the story, he found out the truth about his fraud brother. It is also why Bede gets disowned by the chairman, Bede wanted to become champion and help the chairman in Leon’s place. It is also why Opal takes Bede under her wing, to train Bede up to succeed her and ultimately overthrow the Chairman.
Also during SwSh development, it got leaked that there would be armored evolutions in gen 8, we didn’t get any. However we did get them in gen 9 in the form of Armarouge and Ceruledge.

@@theamazingspooderman2697 a bunch of Poke’tubers covered this leak during the SwSh hype pre release. From what I can remember I know TyranitarTube covered it. It was from a credible leaker at the time.
That was just a baseless rumor from the time pokemon SwSh wasn't released yet. Not an official scrapped storyline at all.

You know, Dexit didnt bother me as much as how mind numbingly easy this game was. And honestly, all they had to do was make the EXP share toggleable instead of mandatory. I HATE the exp share. Ruined all challenge. Made ev training more annoying.

Scalding hot take here (yeah right lol) but Masuda and TPC are full of shyte. Pokemon sells no matter what, but to blatantly lie and insult the customer by implying that the underpowered handheld from 2011 was capable of holding 800+ different pokemon types (even if they got lazy and cut the nat dex entries) is somehow more capable than the underpowered handheld from 2017 when they're using the exact same models and barely updated textures is asinine. It's definitely not because they can charge one and a half times for a half finished game and then sell the other half finished dlc for the price of what the previous gens cost for a full game, right?
I'm still salty. It will never go back to what it was because it'll sell, and apparently sell better than ever for lower effort and more greed.
SwSh had banging music and gave us many awesome bug types along with dragapult, but I can't bring myself to like it

This has been my least favorite video so far, and it has absolutely nothing to do with your video making and narrating skills at all, but everything to do with Sword and Shield being boring games with much of the mystery of Pokemon completely sucked away.

@@magnawaves Legends of Zalda Botw literally runs on the same damn console yet Legends of Zelda Botw runs just fine. Furthermore, Pokemon is literally the biggest franchise there is. Gamefreak literally has no excuse.
Scarlet/Violet is a 2/10 game, but at its full potential it'd be somewhere like an 8/10.
Sword/Shield is a 4/10 game, but at its full potential it'd be a 6/10.

I think of the more recent gens, SwSh have been my favorites. The massive gyms, the crowd, really good mons, dynamax, it was just so fun to me. I'm playing SV now and it feels like a step back...
All those unused tracks are pretty good.
The bata themes are much better than what we got in the end and probably would have made the game so much more serious and better.
