I have since redesigned the interior of the cans to address this issue and will have a 6th video out this fall. Regards.Dwayne

Your video is very impressive as your skill set now I see you work on planes so it makes sense but I have a question about the efficiency of cans versus other materials some people say that the aluminum downspouts work really well you mentioned they don’t work as well I’m just trying to find where I collected storage of information on the best material is to use inside the collector please help
i really enjoyed your video ,so much the i want to bill one to myself. i´m trying to buy a solar panel,fan,hour meter and snap switch that are compatible. but i´m having some problems... so i´m hopping you could help me with that. i was able to find : 12v 3w 120mm fan 10 to 18v 3w hour meter snap switch (no info) my problem is what panel should i buy? i got many option on 12v panels (3/4,2/5,2/6/watts etc) since bouth the fan and the meter are 3w,should i buy a 6w panel?or conecting a 6w panel to the system would burn the fan or the meter becuse theys are 3w? thanks
I too have experience problems with the solar panel. My first purchase was insufficient. I am now going to install the unit using AC power initially, and convert to solar when my schedule permits further research. Additionally, my first design, the design of the cans, is producing too much heat. I have had to redo the design of the cans to reduce temperature and increase flow. I will be sharing all of this, my success and my failures, in my 6th video, later this year.
Russell, I’m learning as I am going. Snap switch works fine. Yes, I got it off of amazon, but don’t’ remember the part number. I think it was like $5.00 for five switches. I don’t recommend the solar panel I bought. Not powerful enough. Learning. I have also had to redesign the solar cans, as they were producing too much heat, and not enough flow. I have a 6th video coming out, now several months overdue, as we are in the middle of moving. Hope to have an updated video out in the new year. Cheers
Interesting thought. No, I use them in the winter. They are starting to need some maintenance though. The Plexiglas is starting to get some cracks that I have had to drill-stop.
