    Once my natural nails grew out a little, I used the polygel just on my natural nails, they are now getting longer without using the forms, its easy to use, I have gotten better each time I do my nails. I am 75 years old and really did not like having other people do my nails, I have arthritis and its uncomfortable, especially the filing. I really enjoy doing them myself.

    I do a lot of overlays with poly gel. Faster easier and stronger than regular gel. Even my clients who are tough on their nails prefer the poly gel. Love that it's strong and doesn't lift, even with a super thin overlay. It really does look sooo natural! I tend to use the clear pink for the really natural look. -CatSassNailCreations

    Thank you for making this vid - I'm totally going to try this. I have been getting acrylic, gel, and dip powder overlays and there is an issue with each approach, so going to try the poly gel myself and see how it goes. My natural nails don't get very long before breaking or tearing off so I have to overlay them with something so they can get a little longer and stronger.

    I have just got into gel polishes and still learning to do polygel. I tried using dual forms but still couldn't perfect the thickness, though i liked how the nail was shaped (my thumb has a very flat nail bed/plate) but preferred my natural nail still (with a little more strength). I'll definitely try this. I had an even harder time using builder gel so this is perfect. Thank you!

    Hello, Anastasia. I recently started using it for kapping since the product that is used regularly to do it dripped off the edges, on the other hand with the polygel I can better control the amount I apply and I can take it as far as I want, since its consistency is better . It looks great and the final work is neater.

      Glenda Park it’s just so annoying that if you want encapsulated your art work you have to use a thick gel or acrylic, too many products was hoping to use the poly gel and be done with the rest 😤

    • @glendapark1474
      @glendapark1474 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Re Ha I agree. To many products to get one look that can be done simply with hard gel or acrylic. It does say 'natural clear ' but I was hoping that as a hybrid of sorts it would be the best of both worlds but the more I've used it I know I probably won't repurchase. I like how it applies but it's only good to build the nail. No fun glitter designs.

      Yes but might need lightly buff polish first! Try it on one of your nails for practice.

    Do you use regular nail polish on this or just gel polish?

    How thin should it be? I don't want extensions on my natural nails. I want this, but idk how thick or thin it should be over just the nail. My nails are slightly longer than hers.

    I have difficulty applying the bead on my nail because my polygel is a very sticky formula. I do put alcohol on the tool but it still does stick to the nail

    Great video. As always :) Are you sure that if you want to apply color gel polish you have to apply base coat? I didn't apply base coat, I just buffed the surface, remove dust and apply color and I have this nail in perfect condition untill today :) It is about 3 weeks. And another question is - after primer it is better to apply base gel or gel polish base coat, and after that polygel? Or it is really not necessary?

      Thanks, Natalia. I tried it with base too and it was all good. Gelish recommends to use base coat.
      No, after primer there is no need to use base coat gel, just apply polygon right away

    The poly gel I use is really sticky and dipping the brush in the solution doesn't help much. It's not as 'elastic' as the one you are using :( any recommendations?

    I’m thinking about starting to do my nails like this but I don’t know how to remove the gel after. Is it difficult?

    So I can put gel polish over poly gel?
    I want to start poly gel but I want to know what I need to buy, as in primer, base, etc. i want to put the gel polish or polygel (I want to try both) on natural nails. What are the most important things that I can’t miss, please?

    Ummmmm. I wonder if you can place a nail form over the polygel overlay. I am thinking to use the overlay to strengthen my natural nails under the polygel nail form. That way I can tell when I removed the polygel nail form, I don’t file my natural nails too thin. What do you think?

    • @denagustafson6070
      @denagustafson6070 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can definitely put a nail form over the poly gel. That’s exactly how I’ve done it and it works a treat! The only issue I have is that my natural nails tend to break or, at least, thin when I remove the product. I hope you have better luck!

    I have seen this video on at least 2 other channels without any acknowledgement to you. These people are copyright infringing on your work. Do a search of polygel overlay on natural nails, and their videos will come up. You have every right to file copyright strikes against them to get the videos removed from their channels. I hope you do because it’s so wrong for people to steal your work.

    Out of the way, but can regular polishes be applied on gel base?

    • @GayleHallAZ
      @GayleHallAZ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do it all the time because lacquer polishes are more affordable for me. I use a soak off gel and apply a very thin base. After curing, I use the dry brush method to minimize the sticky layer. Then I apply the polish and let each coat thoroughly dry. I then finish it off with a soak off gel top coat. I prefer a no wipe top coat and use Gelish soak off structure gel for the base - either white (UV) or black (LED) jar. My polish lasts 10 days to two weeks, which is plenty of time for me. I actually like to change my polish more often than that and can easily do so using either an oily acetone soak or gentle e-file removal with an arbor band. Hope that helps!
