Definitely pls tell abt this as people say if u r doing coding for 1 hr then it's fine. But I feel it is not because you have to learn a lot of concepts whether it's DSA or Development. And then you have to practice those concepts and increase your level from easy to medium or hard questions.Pls tell abt the mindsets and hours you've put in in your journey as u became a developer in 4months with no prior knowledge which is a very small amount of time.
1. Start for 5mins only and then keep going 2. Do things at a specific time for like 2 hours and DO NOTHING ELSE DURING THAT TIME. 3. Ride down your to do list, so you don't think of them 4. Set deadlines for yourself to finish something early 5. Enjoy the process (otherwise you rethink your major)
*WRITE it down in a todo list Also something that's not in the video is to keep a "not gonna do" list as in literally all the things that do not add to the productivity workflow.
0:50 I'm reading the same book lol (disciple of experience 🤓), have to pause the video. Great content & inspiration for all the programmers || future programmers that watch your videos
Check out "The Power of Habits" by Charles Duhigg. The book goes into how habits have a huge implication on us on an individual level. As you read it, the habit concept expands and applies to organizations and even societies/ social movements.
Let yourself be calm and relaxed. Working hard just means you're exhausted most of the time. How do you know you're heading in the right direction? One must live life with regular intervals of rest and reflection.
Yeah, I thought I just gonna watch only 1 videos of yours, I don't know how i end up watching 3 & this is the 3rd one. Probably because I had a good night sleep & wake up early this morning, or you're really good at explaining. Here's is 1 like from me from your new subscriber. p/s: I like how you sound lazy when talking but can still manage to captured every words you said even I'm struggling with English. Love your vibe, not too loud & excited it makes me feel tired just by listening.
Thank you so much for your videos, they confirm habits I’m attempting and also add more ideas for productivity as I am attempting to learn coding languages.
God bless you man! You have helped me and many others establish discipline, efficiency and extra fuel needed to overcome what seemed to be hard and impossible tasks. I pray you shall continue to reap the fruits of your labor and those around you :)
Considering how new you are on this platform, you're doing a better job is just a few months of posting than other youtubers are doing after years of experience. Keep it up! P.S. The line "I wander if they hit the like button" got me hard :)) Perfect timing!
@@InternetMadeCoder oh, and the subliminal "SUBSCRIBE" on the computer screen in the background You for sure put a lot of thought in your videos. Once again, I appreciate the quality!
Hello. I'm currently following the ossu curriculum and i would like to ask your opinion. I really do not enjoy the how to code series, especially because of the language. Since you've done it. Do you think it is really necessary for me to take the course or can i just skip it and jump into programming part A,B, C? Please reply. I've been stuck on this question for a long time. Do i need to take the how to code series?
Yeah I actually skipped that course myself. I had the exact same thoughts as you, I didn’t enjoy it at all. I don’t know if it would have been useful, but I haven’t had issues so far from not finishing it
I want to get into data science through online course and currently I’m doing work in finance sector but I plan my schedules to learn after finishing my work but sometimes I get tired and not able to focus on learning Did you feel the same when you’re transitioning to become self taught software developer tips would be helpful
You're great man... you advices are practically can do and its very efficiency . Personally i did what you told on your videos and its work bro.. keep it up.. 🤩❤️❤️🤗
Thanks a lot for your content and as far as I've seen you, special thanks for this golden keys because they are quite apropiate for people who are interested in really grow through getting their goals done. Thanks a lot. 👌🏻
I find it incredible how you managed to learn so many things in just 4 months and become employable. Have you done computer science in high school? Or math? You say you have an economics degree, I think you got some of that analytical thinking there. SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH
You're a big inspiration Sir. Quick Question: Are you learning Data Structures and Algorithms? If so, would you share some resources and tips for that? ❤ from India 🇮🇳🇮🇳
Yess, I'm just planning a video where I share how I'm learning Data Structures and Algorithms. There are some links in my description to the ones I mainly use. They are paid tho (but cheap), for a free option search TH-cam.
Hey man, thanks for great contents. I want to ask a question. I am currently learning front end as a self-taught. I wonder that if I watch cs50 course, is it worth ? Because I see there is also python in schedule of cs50 but in front end side we use mostly html-css and javacript. I mean, is cs50 course time consuming for front end developer ? Instead of python, I prefer javascript while developing web apps. What do u suggest?
Have you ever felt the impostor syndrome in your work as a junior developer? I have felt that feeling this week in my first developer job, any advice with that?
None of these things really works on me. I cannot lie to myself saying only 5 minutes when I know I plan to do it for longer. Similar stuff for the other tips. So far the best thing for me was the pomodoro technique, no tricks involved just 25 minutes of work, 5 of rest, rinse and repeat.
This "rewarding" you mentioned at 4:10 ist actually a bad advice. Source is Mr huberman. You train yourself to just do stuff cause of the reward and you will stop enjoying things you need to do or you are more likely to quit. Sounds counter intuitive but its true. He has Videos about it on TH-cam aswell
@@InternetMadeCoder thanks for the reply. Didnt wanna seem like a hater. Actually i find this video very helpfull. There is always a tendency to point out things that are not "good" instead of cheering what one like. Actually i used the 5-minute rule today couple of times.
Soon I will also talk about how on top of working smart, I ALSO work HARD (many hours) without getting tired, so definitely subscribe to not miss it!

Hey, can you make a video about how are you learning data structures and algorithms as a self taught dev? Thanks.
Doing one soon actually!
Yes please
I am guilty of procrastination sometimes. Never thought about “fake” deadlines.
I always liked the "I get to do this" mindset. That one has helped me quite a bit when I'm unmotivated about doing something.
thank you so much mate!
been struggling with time and productivity and this video completely changed everything for me, respect+.

Well, yeah, I can surely admit that this is one of the best WORK SMART NOT HARD videos! Well done man!
Two books that boosted my productivity
Atomic habits -James clear
Limitless - Jim kwik
Atomic Habits is so great, haven't read Limitless but heard great things indeed!
I love Atomic Habits

Doing CS50 will be useful in any case imo
i recommend to using pomodor app, to learn-take break-learn and so on so you shouldn't get overwhelmed
Hahaa jääjuttu. Thanks for useful tips. I am already waiting your next video.

hi, how long did it take you to complete the cs50 course?
hmm, around 4 weeks I think
do ask for a like sometime , I always forget to give you one because you dont ask for it in the ending
Is it ok to enrol in the CS50 course before completing our schooling??
of course!

Fair enough. Pomodoro is great too, it’s kind of a variation of time blocking (with short blocks)
Make more videos than now
Trying, trying😅
I've never tried the 5 minute technique. I feel like my subconscious is smarter than me so it won't fall for that trick lol but I will try
that's how I felt too, but surprisingly it often works (for me anyway)
