Looks great but have a few questions. Do you treat the avocado to stop browning? These sandwiches were popular when i was a child and they used to color the bread that was baked on a cookie sheet and spead with a filling and rolled up jelly roll style and sluced. Do you have any tecipes for that? Would love to try that!

What works for me is to crumb them. I’ll then mix a little bit of butter and pesto through half and garlic butter and a bit of grated cheddar through the other half. Then freeze them in separate bags.I then can use them as toppings on oven bake pasta dishes, lasagna etc and have also resorted to using them when I have a casserole that needs thickening. I’ve even used the pesto crumb on garlic bread to give it a different taste and crunch. I have no waste and it takes up only a small amount of space in the freezer - hope this helps

How do you keep cuccumber from getting weepy and not crisp if you are pitting salmon or a cream cheese dollop on top.
It should be ok, but if you're worried pat the cucumber dry on a piece of paper towel first.
