Pro tip: Collective Obligation *HARD counters* Tormentors on all difficulties (includes named tormentors). Hitting them with the charged shots stops them from attacking, jumping, teleporting, really everything, for almost 5 seconds after you're no longer *applying* the debuffs. This means a single guardian can keep applying, then picking back up, all the debuffs from the Tormentor, without ever giving the Tormentor a chance to fight back. Highly recommend.
@@erich_ They may be immune to things like suspend, but not to staggering effects of void debuffs from collective. Have yet to find a named Tormentor this doesn't work on
As someone who doesn’t have this exotic yet, a great alternative is Graviton Lance, the two new perks that it got from its catalyst along with pulse rifle buffs make it feel great especially at longer ranges since that black hole bullet doesn’t have damage fall off. Plus the sound it makes is still one of my favorite gun designs in game, right there beside outbreak perfecte’s headshot and hawkmoons ka kaw.
I have over 5,000 kills with my CO using a similar build, but I exchange Echo of Obscurity for Undermining. Since your smoke grenade causes weaken, you can save the 20 discipline that Undermining takes away. Obscurity lets you lean more into the finisher part of Gyrfalcon's (w/ +10 to recov), an underrated and often forgotten element of it. That's 30 extra stat points with even more utility.
You can also use Domineering for getting Void Breeches from Suppressed Enemy Kills as well, now all of your Weakened, Suppressed, and Volatile enemies AND you get Domineering's other effect of +30 Mobility when Enemies are Suppressed. This means you can be at 70 Mobility and still have 100 for your Dodge Recharge being as low as possible, plus a free +10 Discipline and reloading your Collective Obligations whenever you Suppress a target... Which you're constantly doing.
You spelled Leech wrong Edit: Props to you for actually changing the thumbnail from "Leach" to "Leech", and thanks for making my day with that lmao Edit 2: Damn editing this comment lost the heart. Oh well lmao. Thanks Cross
Leach: drain away from soil, ash, or similar material by the action of percolating liquid, Leech: an aquatic or terrestrial annelid worm with suckers at both ends. Many species are bloodsucking parasites, especially of vertebrates, and others are predators. Leach is the action. Leech is the sucky boi
Having even a single Sentinel Titan on your team with the Controlled Demolition aspect means everyone heals for 90 health any time a volatile explosion happens. The titan doesn't need to be the one to apply volatile or detonate it. Just needs to be alive and around.
Nice tip about shooting but not killing an enemy at the end of void leech, so that once it runs out you can shoot that same enemy to get all the debuffs stored back into the gun. Real big brain strat!
That might be too strong but I'm down if it means: -Infinite ammo w/ devour -Infinite void debuffs (all three, and suppression is dastardly hard to get when you want it w/o collective) -infinite overshield -nearly infinite damage buff over other pulses (in addition to volatile damage)
Another good thing of gyrfalcon is you can usea void sword and that applies volatile rounds(if you don't have the artifact mod for swords/glaives, this makes the sword anti barrier), add in devour from this build, and you will ve sweeping things and gealing while going back invis. This was my build when i did vexcalibur on legend, with wavesplitter and a primary to deal with the first and second encounter.
Void hunter builds are nuts, especially with Void MG's such as Corrective Measure or Commemoration. I had one of my Reconstruction + Dragonfly rolls left over, and it goes nuts. 2x the explosions.
Finally did the Vow of Disciple raid for the first time last night and got the exotic! Loving it already and will definitely be a go to on my Hunter for end game content.
For those of you that don’t have the exotic or just want to use a different exotic try Veles-X with repulsor brace and golden tricorn. You’ll constantly proc the overshield from repulsor brace and get a sweet damage buff on kills and a BIG bump on ability kills. This weapon has been slept on since the buff.
I've tried doing exactly the same with no success Even after the pulse buff, they're still pretty weak as compared to SMGs The thing is, in easier content where you can easily get an overshield to proc with veles doesnt require overshields as survivability is not an issue, and in end game content like a GM, it won't proc at all 90% of the time because of how bad the pulse is.. The reason being either teammates would steal the void debuffed kills or it won't kill them fast enough Old heroes burden and unforgiven with repulsor brace are the only go to options, or the wavesplitter since picking up an orb makes it overcharged and it suppresses targets. That's the most free supress you can get
Yo!!! The editing in this video is as good as it gets. Great transitions and animations. Honestly, in my opinion you have become the best D2 TH-camr by a significant margin. Honorable mentions: CoolGuy and Fallout... I am subscribed to just about every D2 content creator but your videos are the ones I click on and dont zone out half way through. Tons of content creator's just trash the game constantly and almost sound miserable in their videos. You bring enthusiasm with a high level of professionalism which is refreshing. Keep up the great work Cross. Your efforts are truly appreciated.
personally Echo of obscurity fits better than Echo of Harvest simply because it helps your invisibility uptime for tankier health targets where your volatile rounds run out as well as your debuffs you can start the chain again via finishing a enemy and going invis on top of feeding into gyrfalcons second trait which is that sweet damage buff from finishing while invis.
This is why I love Gyrfalcons anyways. You can take any void weapon and make it anti barrier. Slap on Rip Tide or Deliverance with chill clip and you got all champs covered for almost no ammo cost.
I like how in the comment section of all these raid weapon videos are people asking for good alternatives/other weapons this build can be good for. Just do the raid bros. They're considered the best endgame activities for a reason, they drop the best loot. Dont get me wrong, there are a lot of good void weapons, but this build is for obligation, and not grav lance. Dont accept alternatives, get the real thing.
I barely run my Hunter, yesterday I decided I needed the Hauberk and would do some grind the legendary lost sector for it. Got a 65 mobility-heavy Hauberk drop on my first run and cheered out loud to an empty room.
On a Titan, use Armamentarium or HoIL. Use suppressor nades. Artifacts: Controlled Demolition and Offensive Bulwark(mainly for the 4th fragment) Fragments: Echo of instability, starvation, undermining, vigilance. These allow for weakening volatility and constant ability to heal or gain an overshield. It’s not perfect but I have had fun with it.
Warlock use the build I run: Volatile Warlord. Felwinters Helm + Collective Obligation Vortex or Suppressor Grenade Child of the Old Gods and Devour Echoes: Cessation, Underminding, Instability, Obscurity. Use the mod that gives you orbs of power on grenade kills and on kills after activating your class ability. It’s more or less a build all about getting in the enemies face and performing finishers on enemies and spreading that weakening debuff from felwinters helm and the volatile debuff from Cessation. Also you can leech the 30% debuff from Felwinters using Collective.
Collective with mantle of battle harmony is a bunch of fun. Incredibly fast supers, and when super is full you get a 20% void weapon buff that stacks with void leeches 20% weapon buff and void surges.
Alternate Build: Sentinel Titan with CO and suppreson nade, controlled demolition aspect and undermining fragment. One grenade applies all void debuffs for CO to leech
Wanna know something funny? I have done 4 VoTD raid completions, have not gotten any Deliverances or Cataclysmics (Which I really want), yet I got Collective Obligation. RNG is cruel indeed.
Have you ever considering that multiple champion effects CANT be active all at once instead of thinking it’s just not allowed? It might be a programming thing
That +20% against PvE enemies while Void Leech is active is huge too. This gun is so damn good with GF. Oh this build also works really well (with a few survivability tweaks) with Le Monarque. I used it to solo Mars GM.
I prefer using wavesplitter instead of collective, everything explodes, there’s a champion? Not anymore.. a group of enemies? Now it’s a bundle of glimmer. The only problem is boss dps however that’s where your heavy weapon kicks in. Finally pair that with riptide with chill clip and you have the ability to kill every champion no matter the level

Collective Obligation isn’t great on Gyrfalcons. You’d be better off running a void smg ( the title being best as the origin trait has better synergy than CO). If you set your artefact up right and run Riptide you’ll have all 3 champs covered with 2 legendary weapons, meaning your heavy can be an exotic of your choice. Only place CO is actually good is on Felwinters Warlocks as it leeches the 30% weaken and can store it for bosses or just spread it around. Far better choice than on a hunter.
Hard disagree. I think that the void smg idea is good if you NEED a heavy exotic, but the survivability, add clear, champion stuns, and ability uptime are too good with obligation. This thing is making all the enemies you shoot deal less damage and also damage all enemies around them, on top of like cross said being able to stun two different champ types. Granted, I think you only need 1 of these when running a gm or some other high level activity, but it absolutely kicks more ass than the title.

I run this build with deterministic chaos ( I use it as a primary ) with a void wave gl with repulsive brace , great fun and has excellent survivability
I run witherhoard, hero’s burden with repulsor brace and a void lmg.. it’s soooo good and with repulsor going too it’s so hard to actually die lol
Aztecross *says you don't have to manually reload the rifle*
Me *sees him reload*: LIAR!
But Cross, we can substitute Falcons this season because of this seasons artifact mods. This will be clutch next season
