You can have Link say, “Because I like you.” instead of “Because I’m honest.” to Mila when she asks him to let her go, but that fails the side quest, I think.
You all clearly know Wind Waker more than I do 😂. Honestly this part was hard bc in full honesty I've never even done these side quests. I'm not a fan of WW and just rushed my way through it bc I made myself finally finish the game before I let myself play Ocarina of Time

Spirit Track and Skyward Sword have the best versions of Link and Zelda. They show alot more emotion then any of the other games including BOTW easily.

Ok so I ship Telink and Zelink (Spirit Tracks), Telink cause like you said, it's the most likely ship for the Hero of Winds and since they have to found an entire new kingdom of Hyrule and all of her other assistants are way older than her (I mean ew she wouldn't marry Nico or Gonzo in that matter lol) I think Link is the best candidate to be her King.
For ST Zelink, It's my head canon, their relationship is too obvious lol. And I've never thought of ST Link to be WW/PH Link's descendant, but rather just another incarnation of the hero that looks very similar, heck all toon Links look the same.
So yea, I loved the video, also there is this one text option with Mila in which Link can say something like "I like you" and she rejects him LOL
Yeah Mako's joke about Gonzo and Tetra was kinda weird since Gonzo seems so much older
And I totally didn't know about the "I like you" comment to Mila until I was editing, but I didn't even know about it until after I started editing that portion and didn't have footage of that either.
I got a feeling Link and Tetra got together. Zelda in Spirit Tracks would be their descendant, but that wouldn't mean this new Link is related to her by any means
So, this Link and Zelda would also become an item after the events of the game. And if Link did choose to become a warrior, he was probably made Zelda's personal guard. And we all know what happens when a princess has a personal guard. Or maybe he would've become her personal train driver

I got the same feeling that Medli only say Komali as a younger brother, whereas Komali saw her romantically. I think Medli did have a small crush on Link though.

@@maxi15 She's literally on the boat during along with Makar during the end credits of WW so I don't think she has to stay there permanently, especially since the Master Sword was turned to stone alongside Ganondorf.
"that may make things weird for the next story of Link and Zelda" Not really. Zelda might stay in the family line for her reincarnations but it never made sense for for Link to do the same.
For one thing, that would mean that every time these 2 pair up a direct descendant has to be completely removed from the royal family and then become a direct ancestor to the next Link. And let's Not forget that the future segment for The Hero of Time has a child Link in an adult body; thus making the adult and defeat timelines much more awkward than what yo hinted at here.
That and it's pretty much been confirmed by the big N that only a few Links are related. I mean, how do you explain WW link existing despite Adult Link plainly not existing in the Adult timeline?

Considering that only the soul of the hero reincarnates over the years, and wind waker link’s descendants wouldn’t be too far off timeline wise being 100 years, we know that spirit tracks link is most likely not related to ww link by blood if the tetra ship is true since he makes a living as a train engineer rather than being in hyrule castle, so it doesn’t lead to weird stuff.
It wouldn't lead to "weird stuff" anyway since the hero isn't connected by blood to the others heroes. There's only one case I can think of where we know for certain a Link is directly descended from another Link and that's Twilight Princess Link. For the rest, it's reincarnation of the soul. Niko would know if Spirit Tracks Link was the son of Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass Link but all he says on the matter is that he looks similar.
@@moonlitxangel5771TP Link being descended from OOT Link seems to imply that OOT Link got together with Malon. For the simple reason that TP Link knew Epona's Song, which was passed down to Malon by her mother. Therefore, we assume the same holds true for her descendents.
Tetra. She is one of the best characters in Zelda and she is criminally often forgotten.
The first time you visit Papuchia village in Spirit Tracks, Zelda makes it clear she intends to stay in touch with Link when the adventure is behind them, by suggesting that they go swimming together. And if her personality is any indication, she’ll probably seize the first opportunity she gets to make it happen.
Spirit Tracks is so underrated. It has the BEST relationship between Link and Zelda (yes that's right, it's better than SS and BotW), the most active Zelda as a companion and you technically play as her possessing those guard armor enemies. It has a very unique and distinct story and setting, even though it loves to reference the two prior games. It has a KILLER ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK THAT'S VERY SLEPT ON. It has memorable characters, iconic moments, cool items and mechanics... I love it

Spirit Tracks is the game with the most earned Zelink, and it’s a shame that so many people forget this game

One thing to note about this series: It’s the “Spirit of the Hero” and the “Blood of the Goddess”. So Spirit Tracks’s Link is a reincarnation, not a direct descendant. The most awkward thing would be if Zelda notices Link looking like her grandfather despite not being blood related. And it’s surprising the new Zelda doesn’t know about Niko, who’s the caretaker of the new Link. It feels like a plot hole that Niko isn’t known to the Royal Family, and by extension the new Link.
I also think that's why ST Zelda trusted ST Link right off the bat despite barely knowing him.

It seems that most people are against Tetra and Link because they think ST Link is related to WW/PH link, which doesn't make sense. Most Links aren't related. If link and Tetra haven't got married, link's lineage would be of nobles or warriors (the army uniform).
Since it’s rather inconceivable that Tetra would marry anyone other than link after discovering the new continent (barring the hero of winds meeting a tragic young death) we can assume that ST’s Zelda is also a descendant of the hero of winds. It would be funny in a morbid kind of sense if Link cheated on Tetra with someone and unknowingly had an illegitimate son that ended up being ST’s Link. That would make Link and Zelda relatively distant cousins
Since nobody but maybe Niko says the Hero of Tracks looks like the Hero of Winds it’s also probable that in-universe this Link doesn’t really resemble the Hero of Winds.
@@annieandelsieofarendelle3294 I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed by Nintendo that the Links and Zeldas do all look similar in universe. Also keep in mind that there aren't very many people still alive from WW Link's time since it's been 100 years.

This even goes even for very famous people and leaders, like I don't know anyone saying "you look like FDR when he was a kid" because who would know that?
5:52 Why would the Hero of Winds and Tetra ending up together make things weird for Spirit Tracks? From what I understand, the Hero of the Winds and the Link in Spirit Tracks are two different characters.
I’m going to guess he makes the assumption that all Links must be related to each other. It’s a common mistake I see a lot of people make. Zeldas have to for the Hylia blood, but a Link can appear anywhere. It’s also why assumptions that TP Link has to be descended from OoT Link are flawed.
@@sheridanmovieguy I'm pretty sure the Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess Link connection is confirmed in game. When you reach the final three hidden skills, The Hero's Shade (Ocarina of Time Link) says. "At last the skills I have to teach you have entered the realm of true secrecy. They are forgotten ways that do not leave our bloodline." Hero's shade specifically refers to a bloodline here, he's not just talking about a shared destiny of the hero. Since he would only teach these skills to members of his bloodline, that can only mean that Ocarina of Time Link and Twilight Princess Link actually do share blood ties. You are right that different Links don't have to be related though and they usually aren't. Twilight Princess Link and Ocarina Link are a very rare exception.

Spirit tracks was awesome, I don't understand why people didn't like it. Yeah it wasn't your typical zelda game but thats not a bad thing, in fact it was the closest we got to a zelda game that takes place in a more modern world. Also the sound track to that game is one of my favourites, I have played and completed every zelda game (except oracle of ages) and spirit tracks sound track is still at the tip top x3.
There's also some hinting toward Link's feelings for Tetra, when Beedle mentiones her at some point, and asks if Link knows her. Beedle then laughs because Link blushes upon hearing this.
I still can't get over kids today referring to love interests as "ships". 😂 I'm on the way to becoming my parents when I was a teenager. Long time Zelda fan here, and love your content, Andy.

He does wear the tunic. You can just change clothes in the game which is what was used in the playthrough I used

The engineer clothes are unlockable as you get later in the game. It's pretty fun to fight the big boss of the game wearing an engineer outfit lol

I remember in spirit track Zelda expressing wanting to go swimming with link when she get her body back. (Also expressing wanting to put on a swimsuit, maybe for link to look at)
Yeah that bit of dialogue stood out to me also. That’s easily the closest any Zelda came to asking Link out on a date (tied maybe with Skyward Sword).
Also deciding to show Link her “best” swimming moves if he tells her he can’t swim. Why the “best” swimming moves and not starting with the basics…I don’t know

It should be mentioned that Spirit Tracks Link most likely has no blood relation to the Hero of Winds. He just looks like him and shares the same soul.
During Link's confrontation with Mila, the player can actually choose "I like you" as a dialogue option, so there is that. I'm not a MiLink shipper, I just thought it was worth noting that there is reasonable basis in the game for the ship.
Pretty sure the Spirit Tracks Link isn't related to Wind Waker Link. Otherwise there's no way Niko wouldn't know that information and address ST Link with more familiarity.
If I remember correctly it’s never stated that Spirit Tracks link is related to Wind Waker link. It could be Spirit Tracks Zelda is a descendant of Wind Waker Link and Tetra and Spirit Tracks Link is just that generations link, unrelated to WW link

There's a really cute piece of dialogue from Beedle after you unlock the bombs in Wind Waker and he starts selling them that no one ever brings up.
"OHHHHH! A customer! I've been waiting for you! You lucky person, you. Pirates sold me bombs for cheap! Now's your chance! Buy! Buy! Buy!"
"By the way, Mr. Customer, are you acquainted with that adorable little pirate girl?"
"You have a bashful look on your face, Mr. Customer. You can't hide it from me! Yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk yuk!"
Definitely felt like the story was teasing Link and Tetra going on to like each other and become king and queen of the next Hyrule.
I think link and tetra ended up together and the zelda in spirit tracks is from that line. I don’t think the hero of trains is related to the hero of winds. I feel like Niko wouldn’t be telling that story in the beginning of the hero of trains was part of that family line because he would already know it. Niko would’ve referred to the hero of winds as your grandfather or something like that but he didn’t. He talked like he’s someone the hero of trains would’ve never had a connection to

Ah, Wind Waker. How I love that game. Also, your voice is very calming. I like it a lot. However, two things. First, I thought that Komali wanted to see Medli as only an attendant and not much else, and second, in the dunno ending of Spirit Tracks, Toon Zelda looks out the window, probably thinking about Link. I just think that could’ve been something you mentioned.

I really, REALLY like telink and zelink respecivly in this branch of the timeline, although I REALLY wish tetra got more screentime in the latter half of the game. the fact that she's pretty much absent and is just a damsel in distress in PH hurts me even more.

Me personally, I've never been one for ZeLink (ST), TeLink is practically implied to be fair. It may just be preference, because I've never been huge on shipping in general. Not saying I hate it, it's just never really been my cup of tea? Though I do like hearing other people's opinions, and as someone who finished Spirit Tracks, even I have to agree that it's def implied. Though my headcanons are just my headcanons, and bygones are bygones! Neat video!

When you think about how Genetics work, wouldn't all Links be a direct descended of the Hero of the Skies? Like how all people with European Ancestry are directly descendant from Karl Magnus?
I think people ship Link with Medli because of one reason: she's cute. I completely agree that she is, but that isn't nearly enough to justify a potential relationship. They're not even really friends when you think about it. I think "acquaintances/allies" is the best term. Link and Marin had way more chemistry; and they knew each other for a day!
Also most people say zelda is a descendent of ww zelda and link so there is that
Every Zelda is a descendant of the previous ones since are Hylia's bloodline. However every Link is not related by blood. The only "confirmed" bloodline of heroes is from Ocarina of Time to Twilight Princess. There's also a comment in A Link To The Past, but that's more theory fuel and doesn't pertain to the entire timeline

When talking to Mila when she is trying to break into the safe, one of the dialog options are:

I swear that is an option! Idk what it says because I chose the other option. Although not my favorite, she is a valid ship
I honestly think Link and the guy at the bunny rescue station have a deep bond from the very start that is stronger then any seen before or after it. I mean in A Link to the past links warped dark world form is of a pink bunny so obviously they have that going for one another. The fact he wasn’t included in this video is honestly disappointing to say the very least good sir. Harumph.
and the ending that is dont know zelda looks at the window becomes happy and go back to signing papers making the Toon Link and Toon Zelda even more stronger

The King of Red Lions says to Jabun that WW Link has no connection to the "Hero of Legend" (Hero of Time). The different Links do not have to be related so it Link can get with Tetra in WW, and then ST Link can get with Zelda in his game.
Next, do a video on Link's gloves.

Hm, a very interesting Series of Games, I kind of wish we could’ve gotten more games for the Adult Timeline.
Spirit Tracks can be sometimes a very weak game but it's also a very strong game.
This game got for me a very strong relationship between Zelda and Link because Zelda is not Zelda and Link,not Link.
It was a very fun game to play (even if i've not finished it !) and I think it's a chance to play at this game.

Zelda and Link from ST is honestly my favourite ship in the entire franchise, it even tops Skyward Sword's version of the same ship for me.

Don't know why spirit tracks would be awkward. It isn't ever implied that Link is related to the Hero of Winds, just "That he looks like an old friend" to Niko. So to me this is the Hero of Trains just being a normal Kid, kinda like the Hero of winds, no special bloodline needed.
Heck, the fact that the Recruit outfits for New Hyrule look like the Hero's clothes implies that the Hero of winds became the king, and the trainee's are meant to emulate the first king's greatness.(prince consort, whatever)

Since most people here are most likely familiar with these games, I wanted to ask if anyone would recommend these games for someone who wants to become more interested in the Legend of Zelda franchise.
I definitely recommend them. These specific games are among the more expressive and overall more fun ones in my opinion.
