It may be tricky as they get older! I would do it right before she sleeps so that she is tired and won't move around alot.

Floating frames! They are unique becuase they don't have the background like you said, so the picture inside is considered "floating". There are a lot of options for these, like wood and metal frames.

Is it better to use the pressed flowers or regular fake ones?

Pressed ones will be easier, but in my opinion I love the 3D look from the fake flowers, so entirely up to you! Both are great options.
