Qantas B787-9✈️ Sydney to Los Angeles QF11 Economy Class

- In December 2021 I took my first international 'post-covid' service with Qantas, on QF11 from Sydney to Los Angeles. Leaving Sydney just before 10pm, we landed in Los Angeles around 4.30pm on the same day after 13 hours flying.
Since this video, QF11 has returned to being a daytime service, as it was before COVID.
In the video you can see the airport scenes, departure, menus, inflight meals, descent and landing in Los Angeles.
That’s a pretty tight seat for a long haul flight, the good thing is Dreamliner has advanced technology makes the passengers more comfortable

Thanks for showing this flight! How far do the seats recline? Would you say it is similar to a smaller plane or do these go back further?
Will be flying one of these birds in a few weeks to DFW, will be first time on the 787, will be interesting to see how it stacks up !
Decent meal service, menu even have sparkling wine, that's a plus definitely🥂
I'm looking at getting the two back seats in economy as well, how was the experience in terms of traffic? Also did they recline the same amount as other rows?
Recline is the same. There is a bit of toilet traffic to contend with but was manageable

Think I will fly another carrier to Australia, QF food service is really lacking for that long a flight!
fair enough however I was completely satisfied!
When borders reopened catering wasnt full and was intended to limit handling of course.

Not yet on international
I like how they seperate everyone and call by numbers
I would fly business class especially when going to America
Well it's certainly preferred but not always possible for us mere mortals

Such a pathetic menu for a long haul flight. Honestly every time I’ve flown qantas the service and the food has been below average. Many other competitor airlines offer so much better service and menu options for a long haul flight. Qantas need to review their whole service they provide especially on long haul flights as an airline. Air New Zealand has so much better service on their long haul flights.
Hello did you have to show proof of covid vaccination before you board your flight to LAX? If do what kind of proof is accepted?
This was a long while ago, at that time you did. Used my international vaccine certificate. not sure if its still needed
@Aussie Flyer thanks for the info. The stupid Aussie government is making it a big deal to have a vaccine certificate which is total BS since it's illegal to show anybody your medical records

Qantas used to be good. I'll never forget that mean faced flight attendant who refused me a cup of water because I didn't want to buy an alcoholic drink.
Qantas is full service only on Jetstar you can buy alcohol
yeah that sounds odd, water and drinks are complimentary on Qantas (including alcohol on international)
