This video is part 1 where I just explain the foundation. In part 2, I go into a comparison of the top 3 60% keyboards for beginners!

    Cool, arrows keys are important and more efficient but interesting some have mastered the shortcut keys for the arrow keys.
    Not a fan of 3rd function in one key (two functions is best, three's a crowd, as they say) using the FN combo.
    Apple's Magic Keyboard did the w/ arrow keys still but still at 60% keyboard best, though I think manufacturers of 60% like Apple could make it taller so the keys have more space and can have more keys at the top, plus make the arrows keys larger. Apple's Magic Keyboard is one of the best keyboards (also saves the planet by optimizing the materials used) which'll also allow the enter key could be twice as big in the L shape, like keyboards from before.
    God bless.

    how i use arrow keys

    • @AndyVNguyen
      @AndyVNguyen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’re usually under a layer. You hold a key and you press other keys to do arrows

    get a keyboard with layers. all the OEM keyboards are lousy imo. corsair, razer, logitech, whatever, they are all overpriced, are not ergonomic, and lack layers. if you care about ergonomics, you probably want a split keyboard with tenting. if you're used to qwerty or dvorak, then get a UHK 60 v2 or an ergodox. I've heard some good things about kinesis boards. same with the ZSA moonlander. those are all good options. in the long term you would probably benefit from graduating to an ortholinear keyboard. or a keyboard with curved keywells like the dactyl manuform. there are a lot of examples on the ErgoMechKeyboards subreddit

    i own a 60% royal kludge 60% keyboard they suck assss owning my for 4 years now i am seeing the flaws the keyboard is starting not too work the red light is flickering so my board is goign bad my usb cable does not work sometimes. some keys are causing my too have input delay in games making my precedence worse when i used too used a 10 tkl keyboard those was my best time in gaming cause i never had problems with my 10 tkl keyboard but when i moved on too my 605 keyboard i know there problems and flaus i been tricky by the internet and big TH-camr influencers. who told lies about these smaller size keyboards . i miss my 10 tkl keyboard i tend too go back to my tkl keyboard over my 60% my 60% is dying and not working anymore .

      sounds like a single situation in which one 60% board (a very cheap one) started falling apart.
      Has nothing to do with the form factor but rather the manufacturer.
