Enjoyed your talk. I am 50 years older than you, and spent my whole life like you describe. When people who stayed home and worked the same thing all their lives say that they wish they could do what I do. I just tell them anyone can do this you just have to be happy to sleep under trees and at times go hungry. It is fear and discomfort that holds people back. But, for me, my fear is of the opposite. I am afraid of having a boss I have to get up and obey everyday.
Julie you are my S-HERO! I'm 50 years old and still get up daily, hit the clock and hate my boss. Sorry but he's an asshole! I want to walk away soooo bad. This is not for me anymore. Maybe when I was younger but definitely not now that I'm older. The stress is killing me...I admire you for being FREE!!
@julie mignard Would you mind me asking if you have children? I feel like this life is amazing, I personally did it from 18-25. But now I've reached that age bracket where people are starting to look down on me for still being such a free spirit. I know that if I want children (which I do) then it's not always feasible to live this life. Children need security, routine, a stable income. So I'm always wondering how other free spirits manage this?
@@sorchx Oh yes, I could not have done this with children, you are absolutely right. However, it can be done. It takes a very special couple to do it. There has to be a cooperation and trust between the parents that is absolutely solid. The children then get the security and stability they need from the fearlessness and commitment of their family unit. I personally know such a family with five children. They did this in the past, the parents have passed and the children are retirement age. I have watched a family on TH-cam who seem to be doing well. I tried to find the link for you, but sorry, I failed. If you are so lucky as to find the right relationship, it is possible. Children for sure need security, but they don't really know what your income is. As long as you and your spouse are secure with each other and know how to feed the kids, you can. Oh yes, I almost forgot to say. You also need to not be bothered by what people think of you. The only thing that really matters is what you think of your spouse, and he you.
Interesting responses, I read them all. Being held back by fear is one thing but there are different fears. Like...what if she fell down those rocks and broke a leg? Or a shady individual latches onto young? No one is there and you're far from your own vehicle, etc. I guess people conquer those fears or accept that the worst may very well happen? I dunno. But I don't think everyone has the instincts, resourcefulness, grit, whatever you want to call it, to live this way - although they may not admit it, lol.
@@r.peebles3290 According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, every year about 235,000 people over age 15 visit emergency rooms because of injuries suffered in the bathroom, and almost 14 percent are hospitalized. More than a third of the injuries happen while bathing or showering. Does this make you fearful of taking a shower?
@@goose1694 mine too. The freedom and traveling is something I've craved for my life. After raising my kids, and much older now, I think maybe I'll start my dream.
@@vincent9468 She is. Though one thing I like about her is those were not plastic jobs she was describing. It takes eggs and bone marrow to do the things she’s done to get where she is today - literally. That is a strong young lady. 👍😎 Not that there is anything all that wrong w the plastic jobs; I’m always impressed w some of the ladies I drive as a cab driver who make 4-600.00 a night waitressing in Earls or one of the pubs also. 😁😁😁
Going back and watching old videos and it was sweet to see at 11:51 when you say “ohh a mouse” and I just watched 2022 take in and raise a baby mouse it’s crazy to see the foreshadowing just in your own life. Thanks for sharing so much hannah
I’m 55, so I’m old enough to be your granny and I must say, you are a BRAVE and Driven young woman. You are living the life that I always wanted to live. So, I live vicariously through you. We’ve been trying to conceive for 10 years, we’ve had so many rounds of ivf. I’m 44 now and we’re about to have our first round with an egg donor. Without egg donors I wouldn’t have a last chance at becoming a mother. ❤️❤️
@@s66458--- I'm really happy for you! Though I'm sure OP has thought of that before, and there are probably a myriad of reasons why they havent done adoption or fostering. Sometimes it's just not for everyone, which is okay too. But I'm really happy that you're going to be doing that! ❤
@@basicallysuper8176 that's very true, but adoption isn't right for everyone, and it would be a shame for a child to be adopted by someone who doesn't want to adopt. I'm sure OP has discussed adopting with their partner after 10 years and has decided what's best for them. And theres nothing wrong with that, there are a lot of other people, like yourself, who are going to be great adoption parents and think or know that's what's best for them :)
@@gwendolynrobinson3900 I get what you are saying... But the OP mentioned not feeling like a mother if they couldn't bare a child. "Last chance at becoming a mother.". My only point is there are many ways to be a mother. Don't have to birth a child to be a mother to a child... not criticizing their choice, more the choice of language.
This video made me cry for some reason - no more sad music! Hahaha. No but really, love this! I'm about to leave my corporate job at the end of the year, in the process of converting a bus, and going to travel solo. I am terrified but also never been more sure of anything in my life. Thank you for sharing your story.
Brittney Ferrari i wanted to cry especially the bone marrow bit. I dunno, I just felt like there was a sense of loneliness, escapism. I wanna hug everyone aha
I was an orphan by choice, starting at (5) years old. They said I was adventurous, but I just enjoyed the people I met in the outside world as opposed to hanging with my stressed out family. By (17) I was gone for good and I would never trade having traveled all over the US, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. Hannah is discovering her world before she gets too many responsibilities or loses her mobility. I met someone when I was (39) years old, and we have been happily married for (22) years. She taught me about happy families and now I have no desire to roam. But when you get to know yourself and discover the qualities you want in a mate, you have a strong foundation to love another fully and completely. The only risk you take in life is not taking any risks. Hannah Lee, you are a great role model for this fearful, broken down world full of people who are having to improvise their future. Love you! Go solar! Come to Portland OR and drink beer, smoke cannabis and get a tattoo that is spelled correctly!
Lol so no "no regerts" tattoos huh? 😂 My dad would tell me about his wandering days and it makes me wanna get up and go. I've dreamt about it since I was a kid. You and your wife's story sounds pretty sweet! Have a good one :^)
I think is cool to donate your eggs, not just for your financial betterment but to help couples who are unable to have children. Think of the people you have helped. Very proud of you Hannah 👍
You're wise beyond your years! I enjoy watching your videos. It's so refreshing to see a young person committed to their dream, doing whatever it takes to live that dream. Good for you and keep posting :)

Hannah, you are one brave girl. I admire your honesty and courage to commit to the lifestyle that makes you happy despite the hardships. You are amazing! I enjoy all your videos and celebrate your victories.
This was one of the most helpful videos I've seen of people talking about how to make money while on the road. I've always wondered if more people make money on the road like you're doing, but everyone else seems to have these online jobs and try to explain to people where to go and how to get them but they're never actually helpful. So I just want to thank you
Everything you said in the first 10 mins in this video is such a major vibe. I’m from CA (orig from Cherry Hill, NJ) and ever since I could legally do it, I’d be traveling. Didn’t get my license until I was 17, BUT I took advantage of the bus and train systems out on the west coast! Drove the 31 hours to MN, and have been here (also for college and what not) since 2015. And now I’m itching to move back to the west coast (Oregon maybe?) but I have scratched that itch momentarily by traveling the Midwest, as well as even as far south as Kentucky for the bourbon trail! Girl you are my muse right now.
People are stupid and unworthy of such an intimate convo. W are born alone and die alone. And yet most are here worried about your safety. What idiots we humans can be to impose our fears on some else. Continue to live FREE!!! I adore this about you.

Of course the first thing I think about is funding health insurance and retirement. It’s fine to think about today, but tomorrow may show up sooner than you think.
Would love to hear more about your frugality, which obviously includes your diet. I worked part-time through the majority of my career. Raised 2 daughters without child support. Comfortably retired, because I learned to go without and took good care of what I did have. Anyone can do it!
This was a great tube. Especially you opening up about egg donation. thats beautiful. you have earned your own way. So much respect . So much and thank you. This def is insightful. happy safe travels

I'm 17 and I wish I could live a life like this someday. But hearing how hard she worked for it, scares me. I'm an insecure, anxious person and I'm afraid I won't be able to take opportunities and do all these many different, new things when even just talking to people makes me sweat
each step is a step further to being comfortable (: i used to be a kid who would be content sitting in a corner with a book the rest of my life. push yourself to do small scary things first; send a risky text, apply for jobs out of state telling yourself you can always turn them down (but then the next step is just diving in lol), learn how to use one power tool and then build something. what you'll learn in the long run is that nothing really matters. you're going to be rejected, you're going to fail, you're going to feel embarrassed, but each time those things happen they feel easier to deal with and not so terrifying after all because you'll realize you can always just try again, or pivot and try something else. I bet you'll be great, and each small step is going to lead you to a great big wonderful life. ♡

Oh my! You are in my neck of the woods - I live in the White Mountain region, a little over an hour from Mount Eisenhower! If you are still in the region, head down to Conway, then drive west on the Kancamagus Highway (112) and stop to hike Sabbaday Falls. Alternatively, head south to Lincoln, and head East on the Kanc - Sabbaday Falls is closer to Lincoln than it is Conway, but the Kanc is such a beautiful drive. Also, the Fryeburg Fair is this week (Fryeburg, Maine) and it's a great fair for spending some time wandering around.
Ha ha - yeah, the water is always cold in the mountain streams up here! But glad you got to Sabbaday - I love that hike. Another favorite hike of mine is Rattlesnake, in Holderness, NH - easy-peasy hike, with an absolutely stunning view from the top!
I can see this part of you speaking at a TED seminar. Emphasis on the sacrifices and priorities to do what you want, and then achieving your goal/life.
I swear I'm not going to continue to bug you constantly, but even as you're walking down the rocks my instincts here or thinking, if you are an hour and a half away from your vehicle, no telling how far you are from the next human. And they fall, a broken leg, a sprained ankle. No clue if you have good cell phone reception where you're at there, or any at all. I have looked into the satellite telephones, the phone's are not extremely expensive, the cost for a minute to use them or like maybe three or four dollars a minute sometimes, perhaps even higher but there again you don't say that unless you must use it and that's only in an emergency situation. If you lose cell phone connection very awesome in your travel, a satellite telephone might be well worth investigating. :-)
hahah Moses walked in the mountains and he managed well without an emergency telephone, so will she, just like every single human that has been on this earth before the technology arrived.
yeah i have the same thoughts too while watching this video, i have known lots of mountain climbers who went hiking alone, got fall and broken their legs, some of them didnt come out alive because they couldnt walk anymore and couldnt use their cellphones...
Yup, better to be prepared than dead! I used to work at a national park and we would encounter alot of people who got into trouble by underestimating their situations.
Thank you for posting wholesome videos. IRS hard to find van life videos that don't have drama and yuk stuff. Yours are a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
I watched your egg donation videos back in 2020 when I was deciding to become an egg donor, and it made me more interested. And I did my first egg donor cycle in August, and it paid off a lot of debt my husband and I had. Not only that, we forever changed the lives of a set of intended parents. Upon being told I was matched for egg donation earlier this year, I felt a pull to sign up for surrogacy. And now I’m about to help another set of IP’s through that. So I want to say, thank you for your videos. You’ve made me and many others realize that when you want something, and truly want it, you’ll do it! ❤
I love watching your videos! I’m old enough to be your grandmother, but I love the way you live and enjoy life and nature.Having just retired, my husband and I want to start camping more and traveling, (the Southwest region of the US, especially), we’ve always been big campers. I watch your videos to be inspired and to learn, you’ve taught me so much about life on the road. I think it’s wonderful that you are giving couples a chance to be parents. Be well and safe.
I really hope you find a soulmate! I think it is great you are so independent but I would love to see you with someone that is likeminded and enjoying everything together.
You have done lots of interesting things. My life has been like that too. Now nearing 60 I look back at my life and it seems I have lived many different life’s. The egg donation is a blessing for people. That’s awesome. I just hate I’m disabled now. I actually couldn’t live your life. I go through 24/7 pain and I have to do injections and see doctor twice a month. I think my husband and I are going on a year round trip with our huskies. I just need to make sure I can see my doctors. And that’s not easy. Before I got sick I never sit down. I was very active so I have severe anxiety now that I can’t do so much. Live while you have the ability to get around. I got sick in my 40s. And by 47 I was totally disabled. It’s hereditary. I was just in denial. Once I got the diagnosis I have felt better about things. I’m getting treated and feel better. My days are still difficult. My husband is now home with me full time. He went back to school to learn a new job so he can be with me. This disease has changed the life of everyone close to me, and it is why I live youtube so much. I get to see places I can’t get to. Like the top of a mountain. Thank you Hannah. Be safe out there! Leslye
Hi Hannahn wow what an emotional ending to a video, great song and great piece of editing, like part of a movie. It was very touching had to watch few times. You were saying it,s not for everyone and people romanticise about doing it themselves because they only see the glamourous you tube parts and when you said that you didn,t believe them I think you were right because if someone really wants to do something they,ll find a way, if they really don,t want to do something they;ll find an excuse. I bet people say to you oh you,re so lucky. but its not luck you are making it happen so come on chin up. Also.i felt like it was you being honest and true to yourself, and courageous enough to share and it did seem like you were having a reality check on going through difficult times to be where you are today. On top of that saying if there.s anyone you can offer help to or clarify anything you are always there for them how noble, well I tell you hannah we are always here for you.
I see this is an older video but I just came across your channel. You were saying how you enjoy shopping and selling clothes. My friend used to go to thrift shops and yard sales. You cannot imagine the amount of designer stuff she would come across. She sold it on EBay and made pretty good money. BTW...Love your home! Stay safe!
Of all your videos I think that this one earns you the most respect, especially from me. Not many young people have your determination and unwillingness to compromise yourself. It is all too easy for the weak-willed youth of today to call themselves 'influencers' (i.e. parasites) and become self-parodies when an ounce of self-respect would teach them far better. Well done you for avoiding that easy route and being the amazing person you are. I wish you every success in your life and dreams!
I just joyfully burst out laughing when you said you were so broke you sold your bone marrow, the reality of that just cracked me up, I feel ya girl it happens ahah just so relatable and classic human stuggles
i am now 65 but my life goal was travel, see the as much of the world as possible. I married at 25 and have 2 awesome kids. one who lives his dream in Yosemite. Today my husband of 40 plus years travel in our RV; last year the west won our hearts! Boondocking where ever, eating healthy, hiking. We now have two grandboys by our daughter and we are teaching them the life of exploring, Florida springs, Arizona back country..Cleators Yarcht Club and panning for gold in the the depths nearby.. I don’t understand why some people think she’s lonely. I didn’t get that at all. I saw strength and felt a sense of calmness about her. Maybe it was the music? Maybe because she wasn’t all smiley happy girl. I think Hannah is an amazing, intelligent, strong, badass chick. I admire her so much!
I have an idea for you, I just looked at your d pop account. You have amazing modeling talent!! Some of the clothing was hard to get a good look at tho due to wrinkles. I have no desire to iron, as I spent alot of my life as a nomad like you. But, you can remove wrinkles so easily. Febreze or some water with a touch of fabric softener in a bottle will take the wrinkles right out. Just spray, wipe away wrinkles, or tug them out by pulling gently at edges. Hope this helps your sales!
Hanna you Are such an inspiration to so many People end women who need to hear what you have to say I see somebody that is done it only advice is save money so when you retire hopefully your body will still work well enough that you can still enjoy traveling you’re very inspirational. Thanks for sharing this. Egg donations are not talked about, and I think it's because most people's mindset is that Every female MUST want to have/make babies. 😐 However, no one batts an eye at sperm donations. Another thing you can donate is blood and plasma if needles don't squick you out (I faint, lol!). I'm glad you figured out how to get what you want out of life - legally. Keep doing You. Stay safe and may Angels watch over you.
I think it's because women have a limited number of eggs whereas men have an unlimited amount of sperm they keep making more so their donation is kind of nothing...not saying I agree I'm gonna donate my eggs one day but I can't lie and say that there ARE women who do something to their bodies and then regret it later. But life is a risk I guess
@@kawaiiksmr8308 there's not much of a risk. Practices limit to 6 donations for each woman with 15 eggs harvested. A woman had thousands of eggs with only a few hundred being ovulated in her lifetime. The risk of over harvesting is early menopause but the limitations make that really unlikely. If you're max you might hit menopause one or two years earlier than you otherwise might. For the most part risk for women comes from messing with hormones in order to make that many eggs viable. I wouldn't do it cuz my hormonal cycle is already screwed. But I'm just saying you're not going to run out of potential babies in your prime baby making years.
@@kawaiiksmr8308 I think it's easier for men to talk about because 1. Men just generally talk more freely about their bodily functions and 2. All he has to do is go into a private room and masturbate into a cup and then he's out. It's more complicated for women and thus more difficult to explain briefly and simply.
Wow! I found your channel today and already I find you so inspiring. You seem so sweet and selfless. I love how you’re doing what you love and that it’s working out for you. Keep doing what you’re doing and stay happy ❤️😊

Unfortunately no, not everyone can. I would absolutely love to live this way, but having a lot of health issues, it wouldn't be feasible. I have treatments, meds, doctors appointments, medical issues that don't allow me to properly regulate my body temperature so overheating happens frequently, needing reliable access to a bathroom, etc.
I just found you on here. Isn’t TH-cam amazing like that?! You seem like an amazing young woman and very intelligent. Please be careful out there (forgive me, I’m a mom of 3 grown kids and tell them the same thing lol). It’s a momma thing! God bless you and your travels. I love your videos! ❤️
Holy SH*T I did not know egg donation paid that much LOL. Watching your q&a video on that next... cuz I think I'd totally be willing to do that -- not even just for the money, but like you said, I'm not using them, and they could radically change someone else's life!
What an inspiration this girl is , she got balls . Stay safe , stay of the drink , you will find that in that way you will be one level . Makes life that bit easier .
Self employment is the best. I painted house numbers in rich neighborhoods for travel money. $25 - $40 a house depending on the neighborhood. $150 - 200 a day often. Good, low overhead gig. Better than bartending.
Ok, iv'e said you are adorable in a former video. But what I really love is how you are so willing to try new things, learn and do it. A self empowered person is quite a fantastic quality. Do what you can to figure it out, be humble enough to ask for help, and always teach others in good fellowship when possible. Love and smiles.
Fun fact about alcohol many don't know, it metabolizes as a sugar. It's good to remember to replace the sugars your body is accustomed to from the alcohol with other high concentration sugars, (side note here Pedialyte, brand name, served cold is great for hangover recovery) for example Dumb Dumbs (suckers). When I decided I'd had enough of my daily drinking (a few years) I bought a couple of large bags of suckers and ate them all day every day. While I didn't drink I did go the bar and visit with friends, ate food, drank club soda (salty) and ate sucker after sucker, I'd always bring more than I needed. This strategy worked, I felt more normal, as in not so antsy jittery and irritable, than if I didn't drink that day. It was the sugar withdrawal I was experiencing. Anyway, I may enjoy a (1) outstanding craft quality drink once or twice a year. And I'm regaining my health, slowly, from the damage I did (blood pressure, weight gain etc). Just thought I'd share this because I, like you very much enjoyed the grape, the grain and the beer.
Wow I love this video! Thank you so much for sharing the different ways that you make money, it really helps people like me to think out of the box to find sources of income to fit our lifestyles! & yes definitely want to see a full video on the egg donation! xx

ur a trooper. the kinds of things u did in ur vids, would be desireable traits for any child. it blows my mind to think, that there may be another human with ur genetic material, that in the usual circumstance, would actually be ur kid.
Hanna, I'm enjoying your videos. Just discovered it..today. I think i can connect with this one more than the van girl with the snake. 🐍😁 Just so you know. Yours feel calm and more real without all the quirky silly editing done on the other one..which was fun to watch at first, but it makes me question whether it's real or staged. I watched the van tour you did and it was very interesting. You mentioned the vodka bottle in the cabinet and you said something about being an alcoholic. 🤔 I was like 😳. Were you kidding? I hope you were kidding!🤣🤣🤣😳 But in this video you mentioned getting drunk and drinking too much or something. Again 😳 I pray you don't have a drinking problem 😟. Anyhoo, I really enjoyed the video and I am soooo jealous of you! 😜 That you are living your life how you want to live it. Even tho it looks fun, you are right to say that it isnt for everybody. Me? It aint gonna happen lolol! I know me. So if you dont mind, I'll just live vicariously through you lol! I admire you really, just be careful out there. Peace✌ and God bless!😊
I get what you are saying about anyone can do what you do if they want it bad enough but it may be a bit naïf as well to completely generalize it. I have five children and thus cannot leave everyone to go travel full time. It doesn’t matter how much I want it, I’m just not that kind of person. Yes, I made choices and I don’t regret them. But that is just to show that people may have desires but can’t always do everything they want. Choices sometimes need to me made. Enjoy your choice and traveling. This is why many of us watch you. To live a little bit of what we can’t. Maybe in the future... I believe it’s never too late for anything.
Agreed! I suppose the point I was making was that there are always choices and options, but some are priorities ☺️ you have a good perspective, and it’s about being happy with what you’re doing, or changing what you’re doing if you’re not.

We’ve been trying to conceive for 10 years, we’ve had so many rounds of ivf. I’m 44 now and we’re about to have our first round with an egg donor. Without egg donors I wouldn’t have a last chance at becoming a mother. ❤️❤️

How about fostering or adopting. It is the route I am going. So many kids need homes. Just as special.

In later videos she reviews the process of paid egg donations, the kit, contract stipulations. Quite interesting actually.
And now I’m itching to move back to the west coast (Oregon maybe?) but I have scratched that itch momentarily by traveling the Midwest, as well as even as far south as Kentucky for the bourbon trail!

each step is a step further to being comfortable (: i used to be a kid who would be content sitting in a corner with a book the rest of my life. push yourself to do small scary things first; send a risky text, apply for jobs out of state telling yourself you can always turn them down (but then the next step is just diving in lol), learn how to use one power tool and then build something. what you'll learn in the long run is that nothing really matters. you're going to be rejected, you're going to fail, you're going to feel embarrassed, but each time those things happen they feel easier to deal with and not so terrifying after all because you'll realize you can always just try again, or pivot and try something else.
I went to Sabbaday! It was beautiful, almost surreal! Took a bath in a river near there too, froze my buns off lmfao
Ha ha - yeah, the water is always cold in the mountain streams up here! But glad you got to Sabbaday - I love that hike. Another favorite hike of mine is Rattlesnake, in Holderness, NH - easy-peasy hike, with an absolutely stunning view from the top!
Sincerity is a virtue.
hahah Moses walked in the mountains and he managed well without an emergency telephone, so will she, just like every single human that has been on this earth before the technology arrived.
except Moses is fictional and alot of people die in the wilderness
Ashley The Outsider 😂😂
yeah i have the same thoughts too while watching this video, i have known lots of mountain climbers who went hiking alone, got fall and broken their legs, some of them didnt come out alive because they couldnt walk anymore and couldnt use their cellphones...
Yup, better to be prepared than dead! I used to work at a national park and we would encounter alot of people who got into trouble by underestimating their situations.
I love your dive and ambition to get where you are today and you still keep progressing forward even more. Such an inspiration ❤️🙏
Stay safe!
You're courageous. As I say to everybody that ask me how I find money to travel : it's only a matter of choices. Keep on doing good content ! ;)
Well said!!
I just joyfully burst out laughing when you said you were so broke you sold your bone marrow, the reality of that just cracked me up, I feel ya girl it happens ahah just so relatable and classic human stuggles

@@SoulDevoured I agree. Thank you for your input. I definitely learned something new today 😊
Maybe because sperm is kind of unlimited but eggs are limited which is why theyre more savored if that makes sense

I cant believe you were so close to where I live in NH!!! The world is so small :) and you're right, the white mountains are incredible
Lonely but young,
Is different from lonely and old,
It conjures feelings of romanticism and poetry,
Than fear and isolation...

Again 😳
I pray you don't have a drinking problem 😟.
Enjoyed watching, no everyone couldn't do it because they can't see making the sacrifices. Stay safe.
Hi Hannah, My name is Grace. I just wanted to thank you for your openness and realness in this video. You sounded just a bit uncomfortable, but it was so wonderful a share. You are lovely at talking to us through the camera. I love travel too. I am living in India, an American citizen, and long story short, am taking care of my elderly mom. It is such a nice escape to watch you and others who are trying to live an authentic, yet fun, adventurous life. Thanks for lightening my days. Sending you good energy.
I am Originally from Maine Cape Elizabeth is a nice place.....I was in Kittery last year trying to make a life of it BUT way too expensive Portsmouth is AWESOME......I miss home I live in San Antonio Texas now But you made me smile.
Hannah, another great idea for you to get Paid to Travel and a great experience for you could be Working on a Crew on private yachts or sail boats that travel all over the world like a show on tv called “Below Deck”. I can totally see you working on one!
Thanks so much, I love how spontaneous and open to the world you are. It's honestly so inspiring!! ❤
