Big problem is with shops prices are not much less than new. Not like used cars...

just bought a second hand brocock sniper good price ,and know couple of good guys for pcp repairs so worth a gamble looks little used initial bottle test indicates less than 3 years old fitted £60 wulf scope ,using an old tin of 5.56 wasps getting 3 mag [33 shots]in to groups between halk inch to less than threequarter huma regulated silencer fitted ,guessins as we get to know each other better groups will improve cant complain been a full bore shooterf for years but old age is catching up and have seen the writing on the wall for fac shooting so starting to move to air gun shooting.to be fair tried wasps as 5.5 were tending to fall through mag on first lock found this old tin 5.56 seemed to fitter snugger and cant complain on grouping only prod b is they dont seem to be available any more will prob try bsa goldstar 5.53 and 14 .6 g as alternative

It's a shame that FX and daystate on some of the air rifles the add-on's make it very expensive

Perhaps this video should have been re-shot after he walloped another gun with the silencer, just as hes talking about checking for dings, dents and anything that can devalue a gun. Yes, 2nd hand is the way to go. I bought a stockless pcp and being 'handy', built my own to fit me. Very fortunate to find a gun that was action only, just a year old and had only had a tin or so of pellets through it. It had also had the usual modifications done to it, saving me the job.

A note of caution though, gunshops are an ideal place to offload a problematic rifle, the gunshop will get the comeback..not the original seller...just a thought..buyer beware

That is not the case at all , if you purchase new you pay full wack,
And to be honest if you purchase a second-hand rifle they are all priced has near to the new-price, when in reality they should be sold at a second-hand price , weights and measures should be notified to get for the correct lower price I for one do not know how they get away within it RIP off Brition again.

"Thinking of spending about £1000,", FECK ME, I'm thinking of spending about £80 on a .22 PIGEON BLASTER, something like the ultra cheap Chinese B2 air rifle, bit like a £5 hooker, nothing fantastic but does the job.
