Donatello has always been my turtle. Like him, I'm introverted, chill, and I come up with interesting ideas. It's not really machines I work on, it's mostly desserts and costumes.

One of the things about the turtles is that they’re all supposed to be relatable to the point where you feel as if you’ve got a little bit of every one of them in your personality.
That’s why they’re so cool, is because you can see little bits of yourself in all of them. It’s not just some simple relatable thing like on a Disney channel sitcom, where someone stubs their toe.
When the turtles are used correctly they should make you feel like you could be any one of them, and that you like all of them because of that.
This was my thought as well, how could I choose just one?!
I consider Raphael my fav because he often goes through major character development due to being an hothead and often a lone wolf. Just look at the Mirage, '90, '03,' 07, '12, & the IDW versions.

I think I'm a mix of Leonardo and Michelangelo. My favorite turtle is Raphael but the funny thing is that Im more chill and don't get angry as easily so I'm not like him.

I think the Donnie from the very 1st movie will always be the coolest 1. He wasnt the stereotypical "nerd" how he is now. He was just as cool as the other 3 but smart as hell too. I really wish in future versions of the Turtles they take serious notes from the 1st movie cause they had Donnie right as well as the rest of the turtles. Donnie voice was even cool 👍🏽👍🏽.
I noticed that too donnies personality was perfect for him in the 1st movie he was a geek but a joker it showed how dominant he was with his staff and I love how they showed how close him and mikey really are

Yeah, he was just as rad, strong and funny as the other turtles, but was very passionate about tech. A real hero for all introverts.
Now most times he's just a shy book nerd who needs tech to be on par with his brothers
Leonardo is by far the best martial artist among them. He is disciplined, great strategist and always pushes himself to be better. He also has so much responsibility for his brothers.
Raphael is a great martial artist too but not as much as Leo. He uses brute force more than strategic martial moves. When used well his temper could come handy. But his selfisness and temper could also become a big issue in combat.
I think Donatello comes third as a fighting skills. He is smart, so he chooses his fights wisely and prefers to use tools and surrounding if available. Also with his ability to invent very useful weapons and tools he can make his team win a fight without throwing a single punch.
Michaelangelo comes fourth but not because he is far less capable fighter than his brothers. On the contrary, his unique handling of the situations can give his brothers a fresh perspective in a dangerous situation. He always thinks out of the box, and that's a very valuable asset. The weak part of his combat skills is that because of his lighthearted attitude he is less disciplined than his brothers. But that attitude also makes him heart of the group.
@Paul Gilbert Maybe you're a younger fan who hasn't seen the first live action movie...but yeah...in times past Raphael could be a completely selfish prick.
Raph isn't all that selfish, just watch a few episodes of the tmnt 2003, one episode raph went out of his way to help a kid free his mother, and in another, raph gave up hundreds of dollars so a blind lady could keep her home, that's not selfish, he's more middle ground, he's not selfish but he's also not selfless.

@Paul Gilbert Raph isn't selfish as a whole, I think he was referring to "early" Raph, if that makes an sense. Raph is obviously, far from selfish. He's kindhearted and cares about his brothers and friends. But don't say Raph isn't selfish at all. He has been, but it's not really a big issue

Leonardo has always been my favorite since I was 2 years old in 89. He had that factor of where he helps his family and always there. I had a Grandfather who became a Father Figure to me growing up. I saw him as like Splinter and I was Leo. Very close to him and it terribly hurt when he passed away. Much how Leo felt. Not trying to go sapping on people here lol.

Donatello is the Batman of the group and solves pretty much EVERY problem in the movies, shows, and comics with his intelligence. Every Large problem Generally has Raph, Mikey, And Leo fighting or playing bait while Donnie (sometimes with Aprils help) solves the problem away from the main group, Because he is leagues beyond them, they are his minions and he is the real power behind the crew, their gadgets and vehicles are made and maintained by Donnie and even Aliens are constantly asking him for help with their galactic or interdimensional problems. Enjoy who you Enjoy but know who has the power, It's Donatello. Love him or Hate him, He is the Best.

Here's my list of least to most favorite Ninja Turtles:
4) Michelangelo: He connects with people (and mutants) the quickest and his love of life can warm almost any icy heart. He wants to be everybody's buddy. He does admittedly annoy me sometimes and his quips about pizza in the 80's cartoon gets old.
3) Raphael: When I was in high school, he was my favorite because I related to him the most. He's quick to experience tantrums because he's the most frustrated and the most sensitive of the group. He cares about people and doesn't think twice to take action; that clashing with Leonardo's calm-headed mentality makes them good rivals.
2) Donatello: The wisest and gentlest Turtle. He's such a fanatic of technology and always strives to push his intelligence further. He saved the Turtles countless times thanks to his inventions, and despite his high intellect, he never thinks he's better than anyone else.
1) Leonardo: The most enthusiastic of martial arts and Bushido. He's always willing to put himself in danger to save someone. And the only thing that scares him is failing to save his loved ones. He can be hard on himself, which a lot of people can relate to. What I love the most about him is that he tries to be not only a good leader, but a good hero.
I'm going with Leonardo. He's the leader in blue and he will do anything it takes to get his ninjas through.
I'm pretty much mostly like Donnie (introverted, smart and kinda sarcastic) and Mikey (childish and full of jokes and pranks), sometimes Leo (responsible and always trying to be as good as possible at some specific things) and other times, Raph too (aggressive when angry and quite sassy)-
In Rise, I feel like Raph is a false leader. If you pay attention. Most of raph's decisions are based off of a sarcastic comment that either Leo or Donnie give. They just let Raph think he is in charge, like how parents do to small children.
My favorite Turtle since I was a kid has been Leonardo. But honestly, as an adult I find myself relating to Donatello the most, because I like technology a lot and helping people with it. Still love Leonardo for his fighting skills and leadership, though. After that, Michelangelo for his fun personality, and Raphael for his "take no BS" attitude. I'd say personality-wise I'm a mix between Leo and Donnie, with a little bit of Mikey.
Leonardo definitely my favourite since I was a kid. I don't know wether it's his blue band ,kitana swords or his personality . Probably all of them. Raphael is definitely my 2nd. I love his personality both his angry side and his extremely funny sarcastic version in the 80s cartoon

My favorite thing about the tmnt is that they're all individually interesting. None of them overshadow each other, but they could all easily carry their own stories in the right hands

My ultimate favorite has always been Don, because I'm not that physical but I have lot knowledge and strategies. As adult I've also started to relate to Raph's sarcasm and anger (to hide his weaknesses).
I'm gonna say 2012 Leonardo. He's a highly focused character who has spent a great deal of time honing his skills as a swordsman.
Love Leonardo. His 2012 iteration is my favorite. I feel I'm closest to him, b/c he is kind-hearted, quirky, and still coming into his own.

Heh, no seriously. Whether it's the best Turtle, brother, ninja or whatsoever, we all gotta agree it's not a *him* but rather a *them* we'll end up having. Because TMNT without the four brother, is NOT our beloved TMNT.😘😍
For myself, I've always been associated more with Leo. But it's no surprise, I can relate to Raph, Donnie and Mikey too. After all, we all have a bit of them all, but may show some traits more than others 😆
I may be an oddity by saying this, but I've never really had a favourite turtle. Not as a kid, and not as an adult. I feel they all complete each other in a sense siblings tend to do. Leo being the natural leader/responsible eldest sibling, Raph being the muscles/the hot-headed rebel, Donnie being the brains/nerdy sibling and Mikey being the heart/the fun-loving but occasionally annoying youngest sibling.
I feel a piece of each turtle is embedded into my personality, though as for my favorite, I always been a Michelangelo fan. After all, orange always brings the appetite to the party dudes!!! Right on~

So Raph is my turtle of choice (if turtles, Skorch if Republic commando, Logan if X-men). But the thing is whoever is the turtle of choice or the turtle, one relates to the most, I think we are common in that we strive to become like Splinter. The Master, the Father, someone with a legacy to pass on to the next generation with no regrets.
Some have called me a dirty rat before, so I suppose I'm already there =D!

Raph has always been my favorite since the 90s. Traitwise, I have a mix of Don and Raph although there are times I see Leo and Mike in myself as well.
It's always been Raph, but I like them all, but Raph is great especially in the 03 series, which is my favourite.
It's weird because Raph and Leo have a similar relationship to Wolverine and Cyclops, but I prefer Cyclops.
I was Michelangelo as a kid and I kept that bit, bit I also went Raphael and grew into Leonardo. When Raphael gets his temper under control he will be just like Leonardo, they are very similar.
I love Donnie as a character but I am 100% Raph especially in the 2012 version
I've always been a Donnie since 2012, though Mikey is in second place. For a time Raph was in the mix as well, but since Donnie and Mikey have dominated my personality.
I relate with Mikey the most(and a bit with Donnie), even though Im an introvert and my favourite turtle is Leo😂My brother is a Donnie with a hint of Raph!
Michaelangelo was my favorite as a kid and then Raphael when I was a teenager and even early 20’s, now I seem to relate more with Leonardo, but still have a soft spot for all 4. Donatello has my favorite weapon.

I was more of a Donnie as a kid, but I've grown into more of a Raph.
Donatello and Leonardo for me. I think I'm probably more like Don, but Leo is who I've always wanted to be more like. I find Raph to be too much of a jerk, and Mike to be a jackass.

To be honest I think I'm a combination of all four turtles. I see a bit of my personality in all four turtles. I'm humble, quiet and will sacrifice myself for the greater good like Leo. I have a devotion to a specific cause all the time. At time I can be mad. I can get angry like Raph. I could be a hothead and get extremely enraged at someone however it's pretty rare. However you don't want to see my bad side. I could get violent if you make me get that way. I'm a nerd just like Donnie. However I am not a nerd with technology and science but with sports, retro gaming, anime and TMNT. Love learning new things about my interests all the time. I'm always in a great mood just like Mikey. Always in a playful and joking mood.
I took a test that said I was Leo prior to watching anything other than a bit of Rise and I was like "ok, sure, kinda" and then I watched 2012 and I was like "ahah...oh...yeah no...I am DEFINITELY Leo." this is a blessing and a curse

I always thought myself to be a Donnie and Leo hybrid. Leonardo was blue and used 2 katana's, my favourite weapon and colour. He was disciplined and responsible Donnie on the other hand was smart I personally like to think I'm smart and good with technology. Don't get me wrong Raphael and Mikey aren't bad, I'm just not goofy or angry most of the time. Leo and Donnie forever 👍🏾😅😆😁🐢💙🐢💜. I’m definitely a Raph. I had a quick temper but I was loyal to my friends and family. I also know that I’m not really the most qualified to be a leader but I will step in if need be. In my eyes Raph has grown the most in terms of channeling his anger and using it constructively. Much props.

I consider myself as a mix between raph and Donnie, yeah I'm smart I'm like one of the most smartest kinda but sometimes I can get mad sometimes and do stuff I'm not proud of but I learn from my mistakes and move on
I feel like I am a lot like Michelangelo because I am optimistic a try my best to see the good in everybody and I love making my family laugh

Mikey and Donni might have the most adaptability, Donni is highly resourceful too,
