The isn't the pilot episode, it's just the first episode of the regular series. The unseen pilot featured a different actress (Abby Elliot) playing Alexis Rose. Abby Elliot (daughter of Chris Elliot who is also on the show) dropped out of the show before it was picked up due to scheduling conflicts.

I watched this on Pop network here in the US, and I think it is one of the best and funniest shows I have seen in a long time.
I even have the DVD set with seasons 1 and 2 now. :)
