Honestly? I'd Swap Samurott for Darkrai and fit 4 Hammers to keep disrupting even more, since Darkrai's V Star power would allow for more item abuse. I'd also have a second Giovanni's Charisma for the energy acceleration. Mew ex could be swapped for Radiant Greninja too
@@noblejustice19 Gengar is getting a few upgrades in the next set in the form of that new fan tool card as well as the return of the Enhanced Hammer reprint. Gotta love the throwbacks to the good old days of the BW TCG era
I like it, but if you want to have a single-prize attacker, go with dark Lokix, he does 10+ 40/dmg counter (similar to Samurott). He also doesn't have an upper limit. While Samurott is hitting for a max of 220, Lokix reaches 260 if they have 5 dmg counters on them. Since Gengar is putting 20-40 (or more per attachment) You are easily reaching 210+ damage and you are only risking one prize. It will also clean up literally anything Gengar EX hits, meaning you can hit with Gengar EX switch to Lokix (using Night Gate) and kill their big boy while protecting your big boy.

Great job from one gengar user to another. I just made my gengar ex build and won a few matches locally but very different from yours regardless very nicely done
This would pair very well with the Brute Bonnet from Twilight Masquerade, which for 3 dark energies, you can do 50 damage + 50 damage for each damage counter on your opponent’s active Pokémon
Yes! Gengar ex is a card I want to work so badly. I have been building it to make attaching energy hurt. Plusle, Minun, Gengar ex, and the stadium that hurts basics for attaching energy (I forget it's name right now). I would never have thought of Hisuian Sammorout VStar with it.
@@PopsicleKnight that is the road I am on too, I want it to be so good. There is a lot of acceleration from the deck or discard right now that makes it hard.
I saw that T1 Going second Raging Bolt EX and already felt nauseated with how the Card Laboratory is taking the game meta to just "here have a bunch of basics with attacks that belong to Phase 2s" on top of the obvious "first to get setup wins" cards like Sqwack and Sada Vitality
Why did the Charizard player not just reattach to Charizard and knock out your Samurott? It's not like Charmander wouldn't just find 2 energies when evolved, what am I missing?
I can't get gengar ex to work. I even lost with gengar ex against Chien Pao, a match up where gengar should win. Where were my buddy poffins? Where were my draw supporters? My salty tears are too strong.
It may be just me, but I’m starting to think Crown/Hands is making Mew Ex too much of a liability to run. Sure, you could just not bench it, but the popularity of the deck just makes it a dead card in most matchups right now. Pulling 3 prizes off of Mew is just to easy especially if they are running Prime Catcher.
Thats like saying "dont play ancient box cause hands can kill em for 2 prizes". If theres a difficult matchup then dont go "ah yeah nah cant deal with it", improvise, adapt, overcome.
Mew ex is certainly a liability but so is every single prizer if you are already facing against iron hands. So its a moot point. Tech your deck, test and test, then double down on your tactics. Thats pretty much the only way.
Do you think Hisuyan Arcane is viable? What about a very good one prize deck?? What do you recommend? I love my Mismagius deck but feel after the rotation, it's somewhat slower.
gengar ex is inconsistent as fck, you will strugle to get gengar up, then to get energy whil other will have full board turn 2 a be dealing 30000 dmg with 5 energy minimal on board ahahah this games balance is trash
Your lists are Fun and strong, tysm for all your videos

Darkrai VSTAR is a good choice. 🤔
I've found a 1 of Hoopa ex works really well in a pinch for certain matchups if you don't want to hammer energy away.
I made the change and it works. Inadded arven too

Any deck that tortures Charizard Ex decks deserve two 👍👍 in my book
Nice! 😎

@@PopsicleKnight that is the road I am on too, I want it to be so good. There is a lot of acceleration from the deck or discard right now that makes it hard.
Ohh didn't think of pulse and minun. But feel the bench space will be limited
@@javierramurez5199 yea, it does eat up some good space. That being said Minun is a decent follow up attacker too (I run exp share on it usually)
@TheLinkhawkins I'm using radiant grinija to discard dark energy and use dark patch to attach.
Persian could be good in this deck to search for Giovanni's Rizz
An American nickname for Giovanni is Joey, so I'm definitely calling Giovanni's Charisma Joey's Rizz now lmao
Interesting 🤔

The Ancient and Future builds are cheap! 😣

Awesome, thank you
Thank you too!
If this deck keeps a lot of your opponent's energy in play hoopa ex might be fun
Yooooo! Hoopa ex with "Energy Crush"! I might look into that... 🤔
Thank goodness Rugged Helmet rotated 🤣
Still so much more cards that can fit nicely in this deck.
Awesome man!
Rugged Helmet would be rather annoying on this Gengar. If it hadn't just been rotated.
There's a lot more cards that can fit in this build nicely to add damage counters. Still so much to explore 🤩
I can't get gengar ex to work. I even lost with gengar ex against Chien Pao, a match up where gengar should win. Where were my buddy poffins? Where were my draw supporters? My salty tears are too strong.
Sorry about that... maybe add more draw supporter cards? 😅
Should try it with darkrai vstar works really well
I think Darkrai would make this a bit more consistent 🤔

Wouldn't Pidgeot ex and Squawkabilly be liabilities for the same reason? We can't just stop decks from functioning because of a single card.

This is a stupid unfocused build underutilising gengar ex. Add more crushing hammers, and geovanni's charisma
