The Bat out of Hell was absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t stop watching it and spent the early hours of the morning instead of sleeping I needed to watch the whole series
Patrick Malahide and Rosalie Crutchley, are 2 famous best performers. I'm in for a very good viewing. The language/ dialogues is exquisite to my ears. Proper English to a T.❤🎉
A classic from the golden age of crime fiction, the vintage era, of Cyril Hare, John Rhodes, Margery Allingham,,Agatha G,and hundreds of other British crime novelists, and does justice to the book.
Really good adaptation of a great story blighted by horribly intrusive and annoying noise ( I cannot in all honesty call it music ). Each episode gets more screechy.
don't care for slow release, breaks up the flow of info having to wait next day, too much like those awful soaps. However, after the dribble, a hearty thank you is still in order for the uploads of these old shows I never heard of - for our entertainment..THANK YOU (Plot/outcome known only due to another updated release, will judge which is better. Probably this as its hard to improve on the originals)
Gosh the sound track is intrusive, overly-loud and totally inappropriate-more suited to a series of seduction scenes! The drama is wonderful and deserves so much better!
**Spoiler alert** It was unbelievably incorrect procedure for the police to take Betty around the house to see whether she recognised anything, instead of getting her to describe the inside of the house and going themselves to see whether she had it right. But in defence of the BBC, I think the same blooper was in the novel too.
Brits produce the very best drama/crime/mystery, esp the period pieces. Thanks for sharing another one!
Adapted from a Josephine Tey detective story. Queen of who dunnits. Josephine was a Scots born writer...for anyone new to her!
@@susancorvalan6765 absolutely the best! Far far better than American TV now or then!
Well they have centuries more to draw on than the U.S.
I loved the "bat out of hell" storyline! This is good too ...in suspense until tomorrow. Great idea to release one episode per day! TY
Yes, I also enjoyed the Bat out of Hell series. This one looks intriguing, looking forward to seeing more. Thank you for these great uploads!

I saw this years ago and loved it! Thank you for posting this!
I’ve just read the book and looking forward to this.
Well, that last scene was something! Most curious to see where this story goes from here. Thank you for sharing.
Oh great, thanks. 👍 I haven't seen this since it was originally on.
Thanks for this. Great story & production
There is a 1951 movie of this story, very good stuff.

equally good- The Franchise Affair 1951 British mystery thriller film
Fascinating - I have no memory of this at all. 🙂
Thanks a million!! ❤❤❤

Brilliant 🎉🎉🎉
Fantastic background music

This was filmed on the road i live on, and iv been here all my 37 years of living so its odd to see my home on tv 😂
I had to turn off... the intrusive, incessant background music gave me a headache!
I've turned the sound very low. May have to turn on cc. 😂 The music is awful!
Many detective dramas start with a woman fleeing through a wooded area, in the darkness.

Great sound track
