Grant is definitely a perfect fit but they are right also. he barely play. who doesn't want a 20pts scorer who is really good spot up 3pt shooter who can create his own shot, can attack the paint and has a really really good midrange(way better than tatum).
I feel like Dallas should be a dark horse for PG13. At first I was totally against it cause I'm just so afraid of Playoff P but he would be the 3rd option. His defense & offensive skills would make Dallas really tough. And the Clippers gotta cut cap. What can Dallas offer? Cap relief with Hardaway & Maxi. They can also use some draft capital and Dallas can give them that. Throw in Josh Green and Dwight Powell to make the money work. All this talk about how Dallas needs a 3rd guy that can give them 20 every night. But what if that guy is Lively? Not saying that Dallas shouldn't try to get PG13 or Grant or whoever. But what if Lively is able to step up his game significantly? If I were the Mavs coaches I would be working on improving his short roll game. Let him figure out a couple moves from that free throw area & watch out!! Lively would be a monster if he develops the jumpshot from the nail, if he bulks up a little & develops a power dribble into a dunk move, and maybe like a 7 foot hook shot he can rely on. But yeah, maybe that just means it's even more imparitive that Nico gets someone.
Lively gets all of his points of Lobs. It would take a few seasons for him to develop a mid-range jumper shot. He is most optimal as a defender. Everything u stated is more reason why Dallas needs to go and get a 3rd scorer.
Jerami Grant can play defense he just doesn’t care in Portland just like PJ. He’s so perfect as a 3rd scoring option (he and PJ can take turns) and the length on defense would be insane.
@@koolkai4299 just what I was gonna say but it was better that it came from you than me. The Mavericks need to just find a taker for THJ and re sign DJJ if they can't get that 3rd option
The Mavericks role players all need to concentrate on improving their three-point shooting. Catch and shoot, one dibble and sidestep, and pull up shots. They all need to put up thousands of three-point shots until they get it to be automatic. When the top eight players are averaging close to 40% of their threes then it will make a huge difference in how teams can defend against Luke and Kyrie attacking the paint. The defense the Celtics played made it tough on Luka and Kyrie to attack because they could ignore Washington, Jones, Gafford, Green, Exem, and Hardaway as three-point shooters. The three-point scoring just spreads out opposition defenses and gives great ball handlers a lot more space to be able to attack in.
There is no way mathematically yo keep DJJ and get Grant. Grant is redundant with Washington. If you get Grant you will need to move PJ for a DJJ upgrade/replacement. That could work well.
Let’s be real. Even Boston didn’t know what they were getting from Derek White. They signed him to be a defense first guy off the bench. You can’t call that a genius move by Brad Stevens if Stevens signed him with the intent that he would be the opposite of what he actually ended up being. This is a case of Stevens just stumbling into shit.
@@invisobill2125 um actually I dont mind the idea of Miles Bridges off the bench though. If he can get his read right and stay focus, then he can be really good on a really good team. Dallas makes alot of sense for Bridges but they're gonna have to find a taker for Timmy to make that happen
@@daniel.Rangers2023 well I disagree and would strongly oppose a domestic ab user on the team. There’s better options to maintain the integrity and still get a finals win.
@@invisobill2125 well I dont know what else that I can tell you because the options in free agency are slim pickings and the Mavericks are trying their best to keep DJJ this summer and obviously they need a 3rd option but again its easier said than done to this point. Look man I know about the history of Miles Bridges but remember when the Mavs hired Jason Kidd as their HC and he was involved in domestic violence?!? Well ever since Cynthia Marshall (who is one of the better owners in the NBA) took over the organization, she has set a standard in the Mavs workplace. I think if you were able to get a player like Bridges, then maybe you csn guid him towards the right direction and give his the guidance that he needs. He would have Kidd, Kyrie, and Luka to help him out. I'm just saying man the options are slim pickings for the Mavericks and there's just not a ton of options at the moment.
Celtics faced 1 all star all playoffs: Bam Adabayo and no 50 win teams. Mavs faced 4 all stars consistently: PG, SGA, AE, KAT after coming together in March with NO home court advantage against all 50 & over win teams. The Mavericks should trade for Sasha Vezenkov or Omer Yurtseven. They should sign Vit Krejci, Svi Myhailiuk & Goga Bitadze or Ryan Arcidiacono, Caleb Martin & Simone Fonteccio or Malcolm Brogdon, Ochai Agbaji & Luke Kornet.
He is cheap what are you talking about? Every champion has a 3rd option with 30mil. It's not 45mil like Beal, Lavine. You don't get one to give you 20points cheaper.
29 mil / year, with the upcoming new TV deal? This might be a lot now, but within 2 years it could look like an average deal... Guys like him (20 pts scores + good defender wings) gotta be paid 40 mil / yr easily. I would go Hardaway + Green for him. Or Hardaway + Maxi.
One spicy... what about trade with LAL: Kyrie for Nachimura, Russell and 3 x 1st round picks! I am sure if this offer is out there LaBron will put ultimatum deal goeas throug so they have big trio of Davis, LAbron and Kyrie! Paul George can do all that and he's a better scorer. Mavs should go after PG first n try to get him on a 2 year before anything else

Thybulle & Grant
Go all in for Grant if we lose DJJ.
Talking about a trade with the Blazers, I would try get Grant, and Brogdon.

I disagree with the not needing depth at center. If lively goes out...the drop off is powell off the bench. Not good. I see Hardy as a trade piece.
