Your methodical and professional approach is wonderful. I would appreciate both maintenance and modifications. I have a 2003 E46 M3 Convertible. I have had no experience with mechanics, but am now fascinated and want to maintain my BMer myself. Keep up the great work.
Im working on my 2004 325ci 140k clean, i like the not spending money method of restoration elbow grease and fresh paint is amazing 🙌 great information all around.
I've watched so far a few of your videos -> thumbs up! Just continue to do videos like this and all the earlier ones, it's a good mix of maintenance work and mods testing. Cheers
Another great video. Mods would be great. Even maintenance jobs. You need a nickname from your followers. “Gutten Tight”, “The Master”, “The Expert”! Something good and funny though. You not only teach and show us things, you have a great sense of humor. Thank you again for your videos. 👍
😂😂😂that is a great one “Timmay”. You truly are a Master. I would enjoy seeing how you redo an interior in the future. Well anything you do is awesome and I have learned so much. Thank you 👍🙂
New sub over here. I have an 05’ 330ci cabriolet. Love your work, wish I had the knowledge to do this myself. Keep up the good work, I enjoy the maintenance/restoration but also do love some OEM+
Brilliant, detailed video.. extremely helpful. I've always wanted to do this to mine. I'm trying to do small bits at the moment but would one day hope to do a full restoration as you have done. Great video 👍 I have an e46 325ci 2 door. How much of a difference has all this made to the feel of your car? Are you planning on doing anything to the engine too? More maintenance and mods videos please.
An interior restore would be great Tim. But I think oem is best myself. Keep up the good work. I aim to do a front end tidy up on mine over Xmas. Weather permitting 😊
Thank you. Is it freezing cold where you live as well?? Im freezing my ass off in the garage lately. 5degress celcius inside. But no wind so as long as you keep going its not super cold
@@OEMplusRESTO yes it’s 5 deg here in southern England. Set to get colder too. If it pisses down all Xmas I’ll do the interior clean and redye steering wheel too.
@@iain4853 i hope youre as lucky as i am when it comes to re-using parts. Sometimes especially those inner fenders just comes apart from age! Make sure you have a little heat if you want to paint something along the way. The cold makes it take forever to dry fully🥲 and diesel works really well for cleaning the sticky substance off we danes and brits spray all over our cars😅
Absolute stunning work! The car looks incredible :) Ever considered using Mike Sanders to sustain deep rust protection? As always very high quality video! Cant wait for new ones :) Keep it up!!
You really are 1 of the best, all the bidets I've seen of you and your works is absolute top notch and your attention to detail is awesome, what would u charge somebody off the street for a overhaul like this ?
Amazing job, I like seeing the restoration and maintenance work. Have you thought about cavity waxing the car and also checking the conditions of sills under the side skirts?
Thank you:) i have had the sills off and it looks fine. But i have a video planned 1 or 2 vidoes down the line where i remove them and paint/protect under the sills and the rear aches. Have done the rear before but painted them black. But i like the oe style volor vetter so will redo them while doing sills. And brakes in the rear. But right now im busy with the interior video. Lots of stuff to be done lol
Thank you, im glad you found it. Braces will be in a month or so combined with air intakes and stainless stell braided brake lines and maybe other stuff. But for now, due to weather and costs, im redoing the interior:)
Thanks for sharing all this knowledge for free! Rarely do i comment a video in here, but this one is worth it! P.s Not sure why i think you are dane, but if you are, it makes sense for the quality work!
any plans to put some brace in trunk to connect subframe mount points to frame rails or strut towers? like to prevent cracking if you plan to drive it hard
Next video will probably be a strut tower brace front and rear, and a few other mods as well. But im not planning on the cool stuff m539 for instance installed in his e46 touring. I simply wont be using the car on a racetrack so i doesnt make much sense to go that far
nice, from what has been seen your e46 is quite tidy and still in one piece, external spotwelds look nice, i like "budget" theme of putting money where it matters unlike USA/western e46 guys when they go ocd overboard with builds, gets bit boring as everyone does the same thing... my 330ci is east european europoor spec and i had cut bootfloor a bit and put 60x40mm steel tube to connect rear subframe to frame rails, my friend stole material in steel mill so all expense was co2 gas, weld wire and paint prep material, if you know how to fabricate... @@OEMplusRESTO
I have a e46 330xi 2004 I absolutely love it as I've done All the engine overhaul that you have done... I can't stop watching your videos 🤟🏾. Why don't you do next video on your gasket for your spark plugs or I'm also having a problem with my sunroof I wanted the channels that keeps getting jammed and I don't know what to do about it..
Thank you for the kind words. Im in the middle of a lowering spring comparison video but once that is done i’ll ask my subscribers what they want next. One of the two options for the next video has sparkplug gaskets involved in the repair as well. So either it will be soon oe very soon lol.
Im no expert on the sunroof part but in my interior makeover vid i take it apart and clean the tracks. Sadly in the video i dont show it, but if you run the sunroff mechanism back after removing the sunroof you get access to the tracks and can do a proper clean as well. Id start there if i were you:)
For my use yes. But i dont drive alot and mostly just good weather. Maybe there are even better options available? I havent searched. The himmerite is just easily availbale and has always worked fine for my usage
Sensational video. Did you order all the replacement brackets and tabs off of bmw or aftermarket? Also yes to the interior overhaul as that’s my next project
Seems that you do not need that bmw Tool for the front hub bearing installation (a metal tube you screw onto the end of the stub axle, then slide the bearing on...)?
Good question. 2 reasons. 1 im kindda broke right now 2 id like to do a comparison. And i dont like to compare old vs steel brake lines. Using new rubber ones make it so i can compare “new” vs steel for inna few vidoes:)
Hi. I used Hammerite. Its super great both as a spray and for paint brush’s but ive been told they lately have changed the formula so youd might want to look into if there are better options if you plan on driving it in thw winter. But for summeruse and the occasional rain hammerite is fine
I also I'm having problems I'm getting the trifecta lights on my dash but I replaced all ABS sensors and I'm still getting them I don't know what to do you think maybe someone's telling me that if I did a steering angle sensor relearn it that I could get rid of them
Hi. To get a better idea what your issue is can you hook up a scanner/code reader? Otherwise your kindda fighting in the dark when it comes to the trifecta
What happens when you spray paint something like a steering rack, which already has a wonderful natural finish? You get something that looks like a cheap Chinese Reman. Something that looks good from afar, but far from a good... I can smell the spray paint from here...😢😢😢
This guy is truly amazing, should have more subs for sure
Enjoyed that. I enjoy seeing maintenance and restoration videos like these over mods 👍

you're crazy man. Gorgeous job, this is a true restoration, I would never put the bmw on the road again lol
Great view! Side note if you want to cut down on brake dust then you need to get Akebonos
Thank you for the tip

I think were gonna do that next. Its a quick easy video to do so before i tesr apart the interior we’ll try a few mods again:)
Thanks! Great video and very helpful! You sound like Valtteri Bottas 😀
