Esther! You are wonderful! I have done all of your videos that i can do at the level I am at right now. I am wondering if you have a video for lower back pain? I am horrible lower back pain that I hear yoga can help. Also, maybe a video for lower abs? I have done the abs workout many many times and have noticed a difference in my upper abs and sides, but I still have that annoying lower belly bulge. Thanks so much for all of your videos!
@Yogapig Of course you can. As soon as you notice that a pose isn't right for you, you skip it. Everybody's body is different and you will come across poses that might not be suitable to you! Good luck!
I used to do the triangle pose with ease and I actually loved the feel of the stretch but since I got my inner hamstring strained from hasty and multiple stretching(I strained it when I was doing the seated-leg spread pose multiple times), I now feel it difficult to do the triangle. Will my hamstring heal? if so, when? I still do yoga despite my inner hammy problem but I am a little worried that I might not be able to do the stretches to my maximum capacity. I appreciate the help, - Stef
@Maunalee type in "YOGA Routine For Lower Back Pain. With Esther Ekhart," I can't leave a link here youtube won't let me. And type in "YOGA for Lower Back Relieve" For abs as well type in "Easy Yoga for lower Back and Core " and "YOGA for the LOWER ABS" Hope that helps :-)
Is there any way to make my arms and shoulders look better in this pose? I'm unable to open up my chest when I'm doing this (well, I can't straighten the leg completely either, but I'm working on it), and I suppose it's because I stretch my hips and legs a lot, but completely neglect my upper body. Could anyone recommend some excercises that could help me make my arms and shoulders cooperate during the paradise bird pose?
Oh, good Lord, THAT'S Bird of Paradise? I still struggle with Triangle (and to a lesser extent, Downward Dog -- my forearms are pathetically weak). This, this is going to take years until I can even try it.
@mici357, try lifting your toes on your supporting foot. Sometimes, when I'm having an off day as far as balance, I lay a heavy bean bag across my foot/feet. It's all about what's comfortable for you!
Hoi Carla. Jammer om te horen, maar gelukkig hebben we ook veel andere yoga teachers die je wellicht beter aanspreken? Misschien Katy Appleton, Julie Martin of David Dodd? ekhartyoga.com/teachers
Something to work toward! Thank you Esther. Your instruction is always so clear. You are an inspiration!
I sleep better thanks to Yoga, Yogatic, and Esther's gracious guidance. Thank you, Esther.
Thank you for this video! We did this in class today and I was unable to follow the teacher. Now I know I can do it :)
This is brilliant. I do this sequence everyday now. Sometimes twice! I love it

"sit bones" -- so damned cute, especially with that accent!
Dat was een vreselijk onaardige opmerking van mij, mijn excuses. Ik probeer het gewoon nog een keer, want ik kan wel zien dat je heel goed bent.
