Hello, Philip! Yes, it has done a great job in its first day here and already cleaned all my track, but I think we will still give it a showing on Friday for a couple hours. :) All the best!
Hello, m'lord! I am quite pleased with it now that I have it. I would rather have gone to GETS, but now I have this in my fleet and quite pleased with it.
Hello, Andy! It does grab the attention. It looked better in person than it did in the catalogs. I almost bought it my 3rd day in Germany last June, and a few times after that, but resisted. Now, I gave in and bought it. Would have been a bit cheaper to buy it over there when I thought about it. lol
Hi, Jim. I don't know how it would compare in reality to a class 66, but it is definitely the biggest and heaviest loco in my collection by far. And now I have the Flying Scotsman coming next week.
Hello, Mick! I do like it, and my voice is back. We are on the mend, although I never had any symptoms other than a lot of nasal drainage which took my voice.
Hi Anthony, My first impression was it looks like a stretched 216.218. It certainly is a great looking Loco in its yellow livery and fine details. I was surprised how much it weighs it should be capable of pulling your track cleaning cars with ease. Another wonderful Loco joining your collection. Cheers, Paul.👍👍👍
Hello, Paul. Your first impression was correct, it is a stretched V160/216. I am a bit taken aback by how heavy it is (the Märklin Big Boy weighed a kilo). Still, it is a great loco and serves a very good purpose for my layout. Best wishes to you!
I was hoping it was going to be this one! Fantastic model there my friend, it looks simply stunning and as if the size alone wasn’t a statement then the gorgeous yellow livery ensures that it is noticed. I hope you and Joyce are recovering well 😊
Hello, Christopher. It is a beast for my collection- much bigger than any other loco I have. I was a bit shocked at the size and weight, but it runs well and has no issues pulling my cleaning cars. Be well, my friend!
Hi Tim, my friend! I hope you are well. Yes, I had to do something to assuage my spirits after this stupid C-Flu ruined our plans. It is a monster of a loco in my limited world.
Hello, Deano! I am impressed by it for sure. I really liked it when I started seeing it in Germany, and just could not pull the trigger on the deal, as I had other things I was looking for. So, I used most of my GETS budget to pick it up.
Hello, Dave. Yes, it sucks we had to cancel a special trip, but we'll move on. This is quite an impressive model, so it will be nice on my train table.
I do find liveries to be an important factor when choosing between locos that I want. Obviously, I want what I ride and see, but also liveries factor in.
Hi Anthony… What a magnificent loco, long strong and powerful oh and I love that colour.. you now have a banana train, workhorse doing all the heavy grunting. How are you both doing ?, you at least appear to be on the mend take care and stay safe. Regards as always Tom
Hello, Tom! Yes, it will be a nice workhorse pulling all the cleaning cars and occasionally appearing to pull some freight, too. Joyce and I are feeling better. As I said on Friday, I never felt bad, just had the scratchy throat from drainage. Joyce got pretty sick, but she is bouncing back. She 's back to work but a bit tired and overwhelmed
Hi Anthony, You said it what a beast of a loco but looks great and runs well what more can we ask for except maybe reliable over the long term a nice detail look at her so well done. I hope you are both recovering from the C and back fighting fit and a thought if you had made it to GETS not 100% fit I think you would have both suffered as even our fit men found it hard (Peter Dixon to name one) Enjoy the new one and Friday beckons. Cheers Robert.
Hello Robert, Thank you for the kind words. I am doing fine, Joyce is getting better, but still a little tired, and work drains since she returned yesterday. I have heard it was very packed and hard to get around at GETS so, yes, we would not have fared well in the shape we were in. Our number one concern was for others. We could not risk getting anyone sick on our account. The new loco is definitely a stunner, and I am very impressed with it, so hopefully it will continue to do well! Cheers and all the best to you! Anthony & Joyce
To be honest I think you got the better out of not going to GETS, if we look aside from the fact that you didn’t had a chance to meet with the TH-cam community. Best of luck with the track maintenance ❤❤❤ by the way what did you get Joyce for her lack of going to GETS?
No, I would rather have gone to GETS than buy this loco, but it is my consolation prize. Joyce has not bought herself anything yet, but has been putting me to work with a couple projects.
Nice locomotive. Sorry you couldn't make it to GETS. Great to see Hungarians getting back into making models again too. Well no more excuses to dirty tracks.
Hi, Arty. Märklin has had a factory in Hungary for 20-25 years now, along with their factory in Germany. They have a factory in China for some Trix stuff, but very, very little is made in China for their main brand.
Hello Anthony! I am thinking of getting the other model of this in the TEE paint (Trix version)....but I am pretty sure it is the same base model....I just wanted to ask how it has been performing over the past couple days and if you have had any troubles on switches or combination of switches and curves considering it's length and wheel base. Anything you dislike?
This is, without question, my best runner in terms of power, smoothness, and consistency. I have only run it on R3-R5 curves, but it handles them well. I have only run it a couple of times through 611 and 612 switches and, again, there were no problems. Mind you, my layout is "simplistic." I only have 24611 and 24612 C-Track turnouts/switches, and my main lines use only R5 curves. I do not run anything intricate; I do not even do switching or shunting. I just form consists and have my trains run in big circles. At this early stage I can not find anything I dislike at all. I wish my ICE4 had this powerful a motor in it.
Yep ... your funds went to fantastic locomotive . Nice addition 👌 Darrell
Thanks Darrell!
What an impressive loco Anthony, it really looks at home hauling those cleaning trucks on your layout. Glad you are feeling better now, love to Joyce.

Very nice! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by and watching, John!
Awesome addition to the fleet AD, a striking behemoth for sure, very nice.
Hello, Ben. I hope your recuperation is going quickly. I am quite pleased with the loco and it should do some great work on the table here.
I really like this one Anthony .Superb LOCO for the collection.
Hello, m'lord! I am quite pleased with it now that I have it. I would rather have gone to GETS, but now I have this in my fleet and quite pleased with it.
Hello, this is a very nice video, I like it when you record it on TH-cam. Greetings from the Netherlands😊
Hello to you and thank you for watching and the nice comment!
Stunning model Anthony ! Good runner and sound is awesome ! Love the yellow

Thats one huge diesel loco...superb model..👍🏻
Just waiting for my Trix loco import to come via my specialist model shop in Oldham.

Great looking loco, what a beast..👍.Glad you are feeling better.

Very nice train, Anthony 😊 I am glad you at least got you a new yrain out of the none trip. Hope you and Joyce are doing well. 🥰❤😊
Hello, Tammy (and Ray)! It is nice to pick up this locomotive, as I passed on it for a long time, but now have an excuse! Thanks for watching!
Nice new to the Fleet. Thank for sharing. Stay safe.
Hello Mike! Thank you for watching! Take care!
Looks like an ideal monster to pull the track cleaning set
It is a behemoth in my limited experience. Mind you, I have no idea how a class 66 would stack up compared to it.

Very nice looking engine. Like the color and fine details.
It is very sharp and outside a UP Big Boy, I have not seen a bigger loco.
😮😮 looks really nice looks long has great sounds and cool fan spinning 😮😮😊
It is a prime model for sure, Dwight. Thanks for watching!
Talk about leave us wanting more! I'm hoping to see this star on Friday? Snappy loco Anthony and in yellow too.
Hello, Andy! I am pleased with it. It is an impressive piece of engineering on first go rounds. I suspect it will be running on Friday's live.
I was hoping it was going to be this one! Fantastic model there my friend, it looks simply stunning and as if the size alone wasn’t a statement then the gorgeous yellow livery ensures that it is noticed. I hope you and Joyce are recovering well 😊

Lovely looking loco Anthony. I do like the yellow and grey livery.
Hi Tim, my friend! I hope you are well. Yes, I had to do something to assuage my spirits after this stupid C-Flu ruined our plans. It is a monster of a loco in my limited world.
I really really like this beast of a loco wow! I am really hoping you run it on Friday! All the best to you and Joyce.

Nice engine. And you sound so much better.
Hi, Arthur. Yes, I am pretty much recovered from the C-Flu. Joyce is still struggling a bit, but improving.
Sorry to hear you both missed the trip! Pretty cool purchase though! (Dave).
Hello, Dave. Yes, it sucks we had to cancel a special trip, but we'll move on. This is quite an impressive model, so it will be nice on my train table.
It is a cool looking locomotive, like the colour, colour is important

@@ModelTrainOutsider thank you!! Much appreciated! I think I might just get the Trix one...
Extra long locomotive.
Indeed!
there's a gauge 1 version also it's gigantic.
Was the 1 Gauge also of the V320? I know I saw a 216 in 1 Gauge in the Wiebe livery.
@@ModelTrainOutsider its the orange HKB livery
First guess buy a locomotive
Indeed.
