I bought my first pair of used Allen Edmonds 2 months ago; a pair of dark chocolate Sanfords I bought for 28.00. I absolutely adore those shoes. I own 2 pairs of Alden’s and some Church’s as well. They are fantastic shoes, but they don’t give me the warm fuzzies the way the Sanfords do. I’m now wondering why I ever bought anything else. Love your channel.
Love them!!! Just thrifted a pair of Nathan's, in Walnut, for $9.99 at Goodwill. They are not as in good of shape as yours...but no holes in the soles...yet...lol. They do need a recraft...but for $9.99...I think I got a decent deal. Comparing to the Fifth Avenue, it appears to me...the toe box on the Nathan is a little bit more pointed. I like them. Going to condition and polish mine tonight, and start saving for a re-craft. Yours are gorgeous. I like the walnut color...but I am thinking I would have preferred the burgundy like yours. Either way...I will wear them. I cant be picky about the color, when thrifting...lol. Thanks for posting...
Another excellent job restoring those Allen Edmonds. The burnishing looked great! Please share with us the edge dressing used in this restoration? Thanks for posting!
Hi Mr Powers. I need your suggestion please. I am getting a very good bargain on a pair of Allen Edmonds Park Avenue but the left shoe's toe cap has a dent on it. Do you think I can get that dent out with towel/iron method? Any help is appreciated
A few weeks back the local goodwill had a great condition pair of allen Edmonds dress boot. But unfortunately the size was 14 i usually wear size 12 or 13 if the shoe is extra narrow. Price was 9.79. I ended up with a pair of Johnston and murphy. They are nice as well.
I have Oxblood AE shoes that I use plum Pure Polish cream polish on. I use water resistant light brown on my Walnut AEs. Believe it or not, the Walnut PP I have is DARKER than the light brown.
great looking pair of shoes, pulled the trigger on a pair of 108 last shoes on ebay but unfortunately they didnt fit. Curse this slim heel and tall instep lol.
Very nice colour on those Nathans, to me they look like my PA Merlot. Also, this may sound strange but the Fifth Avenue (or Nathan) is my favourite AE model, don't know how to explain😄
13:00 thanks for the tip about salt! Lovely colour to the shoes.

Thank you! It’s an addiction for sure. I think an important factor is figuring out which lasts for you well, and what your ideal size is in each last.

You're welcome!
That's a nice looking pair of shoes. You should get a lot of wear before they need a resole. Can't beat the value.
Beautiful shoes Bob
These turned out great! Nice attention to detail with the edges and cleaning the heels/soles.
Great looking shoes, Bob. Always look forward to your posts and am never disappointed. Thanks for all your hard work.

Nice find Bob!
I believe that the Nathan was sold through Jos. A Bank stores.
Maybe I should have waited until the end of the video before commenting.
@@basila1162 But still, Jos. A Bank may have sold the Nathan in the past.

Wow, 14 is pretty unusual to find thrifting.
@@CobblerBob yeah it is in the northern usa or canada. But in the south its more readily available.
Brother Bob, do you like Pure Polish better than Saphir? I haven't used Pure Polish yet.
Have you worked with the AE Mahogany and Walnut colors? If you have, I was wondering what shoe cream color you felt work best with those?

Nice shoe trees, never seened those. Are they a thrift find too? :)
Thanks! *edit* Yes, I think the shoe trees were from a local thrift store. I don’t remember for sure.
Hi Bob! Another great video! Thx a lot! How can I send U some pics of some of my shoes? I'm not on fb. Cheers!
