Medieval Church With Underground Tomb - 14th Century - Incredible!

- This is the beautiful Church of St Mary the Virgin, a Church of England parish church in Huntingfield, Suffolk. The church is a grade I listed building. It is noted for its highly decorated ceiling painted by Mildred Holland. The church dates back to the Medieval period. The amazing Church Ceiling was hand painted back in the fourteenth century by 'The Huntingfield Paintress'. I also discovered a very nice pipe organ that was installed into the church around the year 1800. I talk to Emma, the church warden who is kind enough to give me permission to play the church pipe organ and show us around.
This Church is absolutely incredible and has an underground tomb.

As you know I love all your songs and music because I feel your heart in each piece of them. I love particularly my jingle, Morning Has Broken, Moon River and hymns that you play. I am sorry I might not be able to watch your premiere and live streams live but I will surely try. I have to get up so early every day to prepare food (lunch n desserts) and soup for my mom and let the helper to take to the hospital before noon and sometimes I myself have to take them to hospital if the helper has something to do. I am only allowed to see my mom once a week for an hour due to pandemic. The Winter clock in the UK has obviously add the difficulty as all your streams or premiere will be even an hour later for me, such as your recent Sunday Service was from 1am to after 3am Monday for me. I enjoy so much to watch your live performance. Honestly, that is much much better than watching the replay. However, life is full of give and take.

I’ve been in California too long. Every time I see an old brick building like this, it seems super scary in case an earthquake hits. There’s basically no brick buildings here. Thank you for showing us this beautiful church.
I'm amazed at your humble and unassuming way and the boldness to get access to these beautiful buildings and wonderful instruments. I'm self taught, and always say I play well enough for my own entertainment - there's nothing I'd like more than to have access to pipe organs as you do. I don't know if the sound was recorded on a phone or what, but noted that the sound was more mellow and lovely when the camera person was further from the organ. My compliments to you.

Discus Blower. The mechanical device that draws in air at atmospheric pressure and raises it to a suitable pressure for use in the organ (see “Wind“).
I love these old churches with the old organs. I can only imagine the presence of our Lord you may feel and I also imagine the words, and songs that are contained within those walls from years past....❤️

Only just caught up with this on the replay Terry as I was out somewhere when it premiered. Brilliant video, that church and the grounds look absolutely gorgeous. Lovely playing of the organ too mate as always. I really hope they manage to raise the money needed to repair the stained glass windows. Otherwise, what a beautiful and very historic building.

hi terry discus on the switch is to indicate what sort of blower the organ has in this case it is a discus fan blower on this organ regards matt worcestershire
discus is probably something to do with a Discus blower on the organ.
