  • Hi everyone and welcome to another episode of:
    'Terry's Church Piano Quest'.
Today I go to St Jude & St Paul's Church in Islington, London, N1.
I was very kindly given permission by vicar James to pop in and play a Hymn or two on the very ornate Grand Piano that Vicar James has in his beautiful Church. Thank you for watching everybody and if you would like to support my piano quests in and around the UK then please support my Piano Quests by going to:

Abide With Me was one of my late father's favourite hymns, and four years after his passing, still brings tears to my eyes. He would love this version. God bless you dad, God bless you Terry.

Terry you are blessed with a wonderful gift . Your timing and interpretation of this beautiful hymn is impeccably beautiful and spoke to my soul. The ending brought me to tears it was a gorgeous rendition I could listen to over and over.

I can feel it Terry. It brings tears to my eyes. Respect for the church and the hundreds of years of worship by people long gone. You are bringing life back to the churches with your hymns. Yay

Beautiful, reverent, respectful, and full of joy. One of my favorite hymns. I'm thinking you were brought up right! And the people said . . . Amen!

Very moving. Written by Rev Henry Francis Lyte, Minister for 23 years in my home town of Brixham, South Devon. Greatly loved by his parishioners, many of whom where fishermen and their families. Nice one Terry, keep it up, I can’t wait for your next piece.

I'd show up to church every Sunday if I got to hear Terry play like this.
