- Copies of Prince Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ are being read around the world, and it was just as explosive as expected. Even as the book was leaked ahead of its publication date, sales have soared ready for readers to hear ‘Harry’s truth’.

Excellent breakdown. Only thing I wish she would’ve highlighted is that they not only remained silent when the press was running with the racism allegations but they also accepted an award for standing up to structural racism within the Royal family.

I enjoy this so much. I have not heard before of Camilla, the Associate Editor at the Telegraph. She speaks beautifully and the analysis gives me more insight into the troubled Prince Harry.
She was a royal commentator and has made a career out of painting the royals in the most flattering light. I believe she is demonstrating the ‘special relationship’ between the RF and the media that Harry talks about in interviews.

Since racism is a different, and I would argue a much bigger issue in the US, they were telling Oprah and Oprah’s audience what they wanted to hear. It is not the first time Oprah has made a mistake in judgment (Arnold Schwarzenegger comes to mind).
Oprah took it to mean racism...she was very clear in her reaction! The time to clarify this was on that interview...but they wanted that out....they wanted that conclusion to be made!

In their Netflix special they literally said Meghan's mental health was not considered and they were especially mad because Meghan was pregnant and that is (and I quote) "the most vulnerable a woman can be". So where were these concerns when he decided exposing an issue Kate had pospartum is instead acceptable? I would imagine Harry'd be considerate and respectful towards a woman when it comes to her issues while pregnant and postpartum and instead he just blurted it all out with no shame. Utterly disappointing

Harry has been hugely spoilt by his mother and then his grand-mother. He lived in his Dad's home, Clarence House, until he was 35. There, he was pampered and lived a very happy life. He didn’t complain at that time.

Even unexpected people are turning against him. I read that the New York Times had written a scathing review of his book and, during Question Time in the UK the whole audience was against Harry and, even when offered a platform to defend him, only one person spoke up but it was about slavery etc so was more or less told to shut up. In their engagement interview Harry said that Meghan was welcomed into the family, she got Privileges Catherine didn't, like going to Church Services and on the Royal Train with the Queen, look who the better person is now
& Christmas at Sandringham, which Diana, Sarah or Catherine ever got
She also got invited to Christmas as a girlfriend - Kate had to be a fiancé for an invite.
I would guess that Haz didn't really care about those details, he's a guy FFS.... but Meeeeghan certainly did because she knew she was a fake and a climber and couldn't hold a candle to any of the others. And she ragged on him about not being treated the way she should, so he jumped in so he could feel like a real prince.
He's gotten things wrong in the book; he claimed to be at Eaton when he was told the Queen Mother had passed but there's press footage of Charles, William and Harry were skiing in Switzerland at the time.

Harry sounds like a bipolar sufferer in a manic episode; delusions of grandeur, ridiculous lies, and the obsession with destroying his perceived enemies. Years ago my bipolar brother did the same thing to our family. We could only ignore his rants and accusations or it got worse. He disappeared for 2 years until we were contacted by an attorney who was representing him in a commitment hearing. My brother was committed, forced to take medication and eventually recovered. If this is Harry’s problem, the depression that will follow this manic episode can be deadly. If Meghan truly loves him, she’ll get him to a hospital. I can absolutely sympathize with the RF. This is a no-win situation for them.

And had he married someone who was happy to just fit in and accept the position this wouldn’t have happened. He basically didn’t want to live in the system. Wanted to rebel against i & she triggered that in him

Now that we've seen who Harry really is, it's not hard to see why any reasonably smart girlfriend would want to break up with him. Not wanting the public exposure that being a royal brings is an acceptable reason to give to the press, and could well be true also. Telling the press that Harry's a jerk is probably not an acceptable reason.

I think the Royal Family needs to get Harry to sign a 'non disclosure agreement' before ever speaking to him again.

His book shocked and horrified me because it was so disrespectful and 'unroyal'. Much of it is a discredit to him and a really bad example to younger people. He then tries to pull the other royals down into the mud with him, as if he can't bear for them to be appreciated for serving the people. It's counter to all the Queen stood for.
I would like to suggest a title for the 2nd book, "Despair".

The real problem that we can’t really discuss is what mental illnesses and personality disorders are at play. We’re not their doctors. But overall this changing of stories, emotional blackmail, overt gaslighting, perpetual victimhood, and insistence on reconciliation and healing is BIZARRE. Healthy happy people don’t do this, or rather, they don’t do it over and over for years.

And the same journalists trotted it out again when he was caught wearing the costume, punching journalists, drugs etc. Harry continues to exploit this as a 38 year old, father of two. And there are some journalists who are happy to still push it as a viable excuse for his behaviour.
I'm sorry but that's not a real choice for a 12 year old. Both choices are unbearable really.
The King needs to set Harry (Earl of Dumbarton) free. Stop him from using Duke and Duchess. Likewise, the Prince of Wales needs to give Harry notice to leave Frogmore Cottage and the grounds of Windsor Castle.
I read the other day that his Lease of Frogmore Cottage expires in February or March. The cottage is owned by the Crown Estates which presumably has Trustees so this would be a good opportunity to refuse to renew it. Harry can always get a Lease on another property not belonging to the Crown Estates of course but he would have to do some pretty nifty footwork to find somewhere else in that short space of time. The reason a Lease or property ownership in the UK is important to him is that, if he can show UK domicile for tax purposes, he doesn't have to pay tax in the USA. If he has a period where he has no home here things might get tricky on that front.

Apparently, Meghan and Harry have a 3 million pound tab outstanding for “renovations” of Frogmore which they are supposed to repay.

I was thinking about that today. I wonder what conversations were had in their Montecito mansion last summer when the release date was established. Which one of them actually said aloud, "OMG! Is she planning to live forever or what?"

This woman’s breakdown of the book is so spot on, but at the same time is calms me-strange as it sounds. I’m not all worked up at the end… just sad for someone who is so miserable and seems motivated to drag everyone around him down in that misery.

Harry nor his brother owe anyone anything with the way their mother was treated. The royals have always owed the Spencer’s an apology. Knowing them, they wouldn’t know why.
Not only the lack of accountability but the lack of empathy was alarming to me. He justifies his actions by saying it's his truth and dismisses any hurt and damage he is causing to those he supposedly loves. A lot of the wrong doings he blames his father and brother for, he is also guilty of and yet fails to see they are all damaged in different ways as a result of their environment.
I can't see what the RF are guilty of. Both boys suffered a trauma and it seems they were supported. Markle married the former spare and can't seem to accept the limitations of that. They were not entitled to be on a par, or to have the same as William and Catherine. It seems they thought they could bully and emotionally manipulate people to get what they wanted. It's still going on, IMO.
The TRUTH is ONLY ONE and it is not his --- that is for sure !!!

Thanks for such a fair minded report on this. I personally think that Harry and Markle have proven themselves to be vile and wouldn’t have minded a more aggressive condemnation of their antics. However, it’s definitely beneficial to hear from someone who is calm and objective.

His attack on Camilla is disgusting and totally unjustified. He bangs on about Charles and Camilla's affair but I haven't heard a peep from him about his mother's infidelities. What about her affair with her bodyguard, Barry Mannakee, or James Hewitt (Harry's real dad???), or James Gilbey, or Oliver Hoare? Diana and Charles were both unfaithful to each other but as far as I know, at least Charles had one much publicised affair with Camilla.

Harry was well liked, the nation took him to his heart. I think that King Charles needs to change his attitude towards his son. Many thousands of parents - less publicly - have serious problems with their offspring, or partners or other family members. The really difficult decision, is to adopt a position of Tough Love. No longer bailing them out or making concessions. It means standing up the disruptive element; making them completely responsible for themselves; it is the final solution - and for many it ultimately ends with reconciliation and happiness. King Charles needs to stop calling Harry "my beloved son" and be honestly confrontational. Harry still thinks he can make demands on his father who will always crumble, because he is a kind and sensitive man. But he is in a unique position; he cannot afford to jeopardise the monarchy or the sentiments of the British people. It is time for him to take a VERY firm stance. He will be fully supported by us all.
Harold and Rachel should take note of the tides (and I’m not talking about the Pacific). They are turning in the States (I’m an Ohioan). One of the book’s biggest errors was outing Courtney Cox as having provided mushrooms for her house guests. That is NOT done in Hollywood. That sound is the doors of the A-listers slamming in their faces.
He also got many historical facts wrong. Not to mention the New Zealand airlines social media basically joked about his claim that he bought Meghan's dad a first class ticket from Mexico to New Zealand. This did not happen as the airline posted on their social media, sorry, we don't even offer a route between those two countries.

This is a good report about this fictitiousbook. Not surprised about the misinformation in the book, basically lies but his feelings and comments about the cream and his mother is very disturbing to name but one story.
It seems it was about William being concerned about Meghan's behavior; William told Harry the same things the papers reported well BEFORE the papers ever got the story. No doubt, between William and Catherine's experience with Meghan and equally, them getting complaints from their staff about Meghan's abusive behavior everyone of the RF and staff that interacted with Meghan knew she was trouble.
