    Why did you skip past the results comparing 1,3,6 and go right to everything cleaned up at 6? kind of the whole point of the video i thought haha

    Awesome video, Coty! Here's how I think about it from a cost perspective:
    Using 4.5% vs 6(.25)% cuts down on the volume of bleach used by 14% on a single pass, but if you have to hit it twice with 4.5% you use 22% more bleach than 6% on a single pass plus the extra surfactant. You would most likely just be spot treating on the second pass, so it wouldn't be quite that drastic, but it doesn't end up saving that much, if any, when you have to re-apply. If there's nothing I'm worried about damaging with a hotter mix, I just go ahead and use 6% because I personally value the potential time saved more than the potential bleach saved.

    Did I miss something? I thought the point of the video was to see the difference in all 3 solutions. Then he comes back and is like "I just cleaned the whole roof with 6%, so long" that made no sense

    Great video concept, Coty. I think we all knew the results before you started. I'd love to see a similar video of 4%, 5% and 6%. I've dialed down to 4.5% and have had great results, but think it'd be a great learning experience to see these ratios side by side on a really nasty roof.
    Great work with all the content 👍

    Can someone explain the percentages to me. What is 1%, 3%, 5%? How do you get that exact mix? and what is the starting % of the SH (bleach) by itself?

    • @jumpman2680
      @jumpman2680 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I know this is an old question but others might benefit from seeing it answered. You have to know your starting SH or bleach concentration. Say you purchase 10% SH, if you mix it 50/50 with water, you have now cut it down to 5%. If you start with say 12.5% and cut it 50/50 with water, it's now a 6.25% mixture. You can cut it with more water as needed to bring the concentrated bleach down to the desired SH to water ratio you need and there are several excellent calculators on the net if you search Google. The purpose of his proportioner/blend manifold with the dials is so you don't have to batch mix your desired ration in a bucket ahead of time and can easily just set the desired bleach and soap percentage you want and it will automatically downstream the desired mixture with the water.

    • @the100adayguy
      @the100adayguy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There are a bunch. The most popular imo would be spray wash academy and pressure washing friends. However, you will never get the same answer from 2 people on how to clean 1 surface and if you ask an uneducated question, you will most likely get hounded by hundreds of guys. Use the search bar before asking questions and you shod be fine.

    How do u get ratio out of % like I have a 20 gallon 12v chemical sprayer I use and the bleach from the pool place says 10.5% even tho owner says it's delivered at 12.5-13% anyways how many gallons of bleach to how many gallons of water would I use to get the 6% ? And help would be greatly appreciated because I tried my own roof using 2.5 gallons to 17 gallons of water and it didn't really do the job. Also do I rinse it off or not ,it doesn't rain much here and most houses don't have gutters so there will be a lot of run off with rinsing
