Hi I want to buy some surfactant When you have 15 gallon soap tank and you use 1 gallon that’s surfactant. When your use Soft wash Proportioner How many percent 1% 2%3% need to use it.
So your the reason I have boxes of soap in my garage. My husband is a big fan! You’ve really helped him bring a goal to life! Another outstanding video Cody. I always adjust the amount of surfactant I use on a roof cleaning based on the roof pitch to reduce runoff. Steeper roof will get more surfactant and slight pitch roof will get less surfactant.

we've used a small splash of apple wash for the same reason as a wand tip indicator more so than tracking , we're excited to see this improvement and will save us having to order apple wash , thanks from Dorado Home Services

I am glad that you made this video. I noticed the new labels on the bottles I received. I was using my 12v and easily noticed the darker color of surfactant. I first thought that I misjudged my ratio but knew I had it right. I like it better than the old stuff. Both are good but I do like the cherry. BTW thick….

Suggestion on doing a drive way then doing a entrance to a restaurant . Do you keep soap and SH in separate tanks .
I’m not really set up to do houses. I mostly do parking lot striping and surface cleaning store front concrete and walk ways.

Love the videos. I’m thinking about trying to get into the industry. I’m young and I’m going to have to start with a much cheaper set up before I try to get into soft washing. I know I will miss out on certain jobs due to the lack of equipment. Could u recommend a beginner set up?

I would really like to see a "real world" example of the level of suds I should expect. I notice your soap valve is always wide open.. I normally set my soap valve (GF) to about 30/40 for driveways/house washes. I would enjoy a demo of the soap at that kind of level.

I have a 4 gpm with a comet pump can I run 5/6 feet of hose from the machine 's downstream injector to the Chem tank? If not how close do I need to be to the tank & max length of hose? I'd appreciate ya input!!!! I can't get a answer from no one , figured since your a building expert please help

Hey Coty, I am in Houston (in the heat ha!) and I currently don't use surfactant when downstreaming. I do seem to have to reapply SH quite often when its really hot to make sure it doesn't dry up before the SH starts working. Do you think I should add surfactant to my bleach tank? If so, I know you mentioned the ratios in the soap tank but what would you mix it at in the bleach tank (for downstreaming)? Like one ounce per gallon... I have a 55 gallon tank, so about a half gallon of surfactant? Thanks so much
You can definately add surfactant (SOAP) to your bleach mix. Remember to get a surfactant that is alkaline based because bleach has a ph of approximately 11-13. Purified water can take alot of alkalinity out of the water thats the reason there's usually a charcoal stage added for drinking water, Without it, the water would not taste good and be brackish.

So I have a proportioner which has a water bleach and soap Barb. I have 2 30 gallon tanks, and was planning on using a 5 gallon tank for surfactant. Would I keep that idea or just add it to my 30 gallon bleach tank. If so how much should I add to the tank if I have 30 gallons of sh?
I’m a few weeks away from my trailer being ready for pick up! I know there is a ton of variables but I’m trying to figure out about how much I’m gonna need to order. Best guess how long would that 30 gallons last me if I’m doing house/roof washes on a 2000sqft homes? Do I need to order a case, or 20? Lol

Can this be mixed with any cleaning products. I am a Hood Cleaner and use chemicals that are high alkaline to remove frease off the hoods.

I used 1 gallon of the cherry to 5 gallons of water and had to open my valve up all the way to get a thick roof wash. I use a 7gpm 12v. Any suggestions on getting it thick without having to use so much surfactant?

You should compare the old stuff vs new stuff see if there’s a difference as the recipe I assume is the same side by side be cool too see the new ones better I can care less if it’s darker just what works best 😊
Hi Cody, I was having trouble softwashing a 30ft tall chimney. It’s pretty old and it’s made of a bunch of stone. I tried a 6% strength in a 3 gallon bucket, and it still didn’t work well. I had used Ajax to help it stick but I don’t think it did much. I was wondering if I got this surfactant it may help it stay and dwell on the chimney. What is your insight on this.
Also I was wondering what the ratio would be for the surfactant

Surfactant usage isn’t really determined by SH settings.
It’s a adjustment made based on the surface and the type of cleaning job.

You can still see it. Won’t be as bright but very visible

You’ve got 2 love this guy. He Motivated me To clean my driveway I went out and bought a 4400 psi 4 gallon a minute pressure washer and 16 inch surface cleaner clean my driveway put the power washer and surface cleaner in my garage only time I would bring it out was to wash my car or clean a spot out the driveway. Then I came across one of his videos on how to start your own pressure washing company, fast forward I applied for my LLC & Tax ID number. Now I’m working to build my Co.

Coty, maybe a dumb question...but can you mix surfactants if you're running low in the tank and we want to switch it up to another kind, or do we avoid cross contamination with these as well? Already running low on the southern slang and want to fill her up with drawl now. I assume it's safe to add it right in there on top of the slang. Should of asked this at class last week! Thanks!

Ok i been on the 12v for some time now have the southern slang works great.. now I am into the downstream world now that's what I have been doing all this year. So my question is. I made a 5 gal batch of southern Slang a month ago I was just looking at the rig and the 5 gal mix southern slang/water it is not red anymore. Its clear..... Do you think it still works? will the sun just kill the color? its been in a big 5 gal jug without the lid on it out on the field. So I add more to it
and it doesn't turn red. I am just letting your team know if they want to do some tests on that and could make a good youtube video

There’s not really a dye out there that will hold up to being mixed with bleach
