Favorite riff over every album WLMD - to keep from getting burned Creatures - Abigail In famous - AMERICA Reincarnate - Wasp/Break the cycle Graveyard - Queen for Queen Disgues - head ache/holding onto smoke STEOTW - Sign of life/Burning at both ends
This was so cool, I was just listening to their entre discography ‘cause they announced they are coming to Mexico with BMTH and BVB, I hope I am able to go see ‘em
I saw them a few months ago in Tampa, Florida with like 5 other bands. BVB being one of them, although they were the band I knew the least about outta the 6.
Disguise and graveyard shift have to be my all time favorite albums by them. But damn they’re a killer band. You get a mix of old school and modern metal in their music best of both worlds
Depending on what kind of music you like, Motionless in White pretty much have an album for every kind of hard rock/extreme metal/ alternative music listening fan. Their older music was like Emo/metalcore but then they started making more Industrial Goth and even Nu Metal themes.
Damn man that was freaking amazing! Great job! What a lot of work. They're so good. Their wrists are so technical. You did such a great job. Sounded so perfect
Exactly the same. I just started getting in to them a week ago.. There's still some cringey stuff in there but I'll get used to it. The breakdowns & dissonance make up for it. Glad you made this, most of these will be new to me.
Im not too much into em, until a coworker (who isn’t a metal head) sent me a live video of theirs. I was impressed, both by the band and my coworker for picking such a heavy ass band.
Killer video!!! I know this is an offset question now, but I am looking to get a Legator N9 9 string guitar, which unfortunately has nickel frets. How important do you they are? Outstanding videos lately btw.
Thanks! They just won’t last quite as long basically and may need a re fret much sooner than stainless steel would. They’ll still last for many years though
It's kinda crazy you have never listened to them, I guess I assumed everybody listened to every band in the scene at least once lol glad you started from to keep from getting burned I feel like a lot of people don't know that EP exists.
So glad you did this video, Motionless in White have been one of my top favourite bands since 2013 or 2014. This band is what got me into the gothic and industrial side of things (eventually leading to stuff like Rammstein, Lord of the lost, Bauhaus, Skold and She past away) and my favourite riff is probably the reincarnate one as that was the first or second song I ever by them the other one would have been immaculate misconception. As far as there new album goes for heaviness I'd say my favourite is cyberhex.
@@BaenaCarcosa okay so number 1 holy shit you replied. Number 2 I love their music so much. I know you did a bunch of vids. Maybe White Hot, or I Let It In And It Took Everything cover with Johnny?
The riff in undead ahead and the riffs in the??? (Brain 🧠 stopped) the scissorhands song and the Christopher Walken Song 🎵 (the headless Horseman one lol)
Bruhh you didn't even include the good riffs on Scoring the end of the World!! Cause of Death, Burned 2 & Corpse Nation got some crazy ass riffs & breakdowns!!

Motionless in White is a very good band. Their older songs are hard af🔥
When you have all your guitars tuned so low that a basic Drop D six string isn't a thing in your studio. Never change, mr Baena, never change.
I don't even have a guitar tuned to Drop D, highest is a half-step down lol I use a capo if I want that sound.

Killer!! I just started listening to them too and now they are a must-see for me at Blue Ridge Rock Fest
This was really fun. If you are still doing these can you do a guitar riff evolution video for Unearth? They are imo very underrated

I've been listening to them since 2008 they've always been one of my favorites, their songs are a blast to play on guitar
Love thier song Meltdown.. them riffs is cool.
I honestly could have put so many riffs from their newest album haha it was hard to just pick two
I know pretty much nothing about Motionless in White, but damn. Cyberhex goes hard.
You should check the newest album for sure

I met Chris Motionless when they were on their first album tour before all the on stage theatrics...such a humble dude 🤘🤘
I just wanna say it makes me so proud to have the signed Carcosa album! :D And great Video again! :)
Thanks so much for grabbing one
dude that ending slaughterhouse breakdown will NEVER get old imo. absolutely disgusting 🔥
Pretty good overall although I noticed that when you played black damask you played the lead chorus in the A# scale.
I just forgot which guitar I used while filming haha. Same notes either way, I just played everything a fret lower
MIW one of my all time favourites so seeing you go from checking them out on stream to covering them is super awesome. Glad to see it🔥🔥
Glad the "Thoughts & Prayers" breakdown is in here, that's an instant headbanger for me

I have been listening to them since 2010. And they are one of my favorite metalcore bands. Saw them live twice. Hoping to see them again.

this was perfect, big fan of these guys, glad that you did this
Killer video and riffs!
This video is nice for MIW fans :)

Why is lead guitar in black damask playing a half step higher, than it should be? Like the rhythm is in drop a and lead is in drop a#. It sounds weird
granted you can play the lead or rhythm in drop a or drop a# and just move one fret over and its the same note. it's weird but who knows man 😂
How the hell did i miss this video. I love motionless
Great playing, i must check them out :)
Like Moths to Flames Riff Evolution??
Part 2 please
Before wlmd there was the whorror and there demo that’s barely talked about it’s 🔥
Nailed this video! Also can I please borrow some guitars, your collection is 👌
Haha give up one of my children?! Thanks again for working with me as always 👏
Andrew got Motionless from Nik... Internet=wow...
Do underoath next! There riffs are so underrated!
Oh it was The Cobwebs Riff and the riff In Undead ahead
I missed when you had showed the album cover and date of the song
It would be much better if you added the years of this songs
wild how creatures is still their heaviest album
MiW is great!
First song: Drop D
Second song: Drop A#
Nice
cant find those presets in the tonecloud
Andrew Baena: *says he doesn't have a 6 string*
Also Andrew Baena: *has a 6 string*
duuuude I need full tabs for these songs. cool video though!
Will you do some Static Dress, Silent Planet, or Loathe riffs?
I’ve done a LOT of videos on Loathe. Love those other two bands too so maybe one day
@@BaenaCarcosa okay so number 1 holy shit you replied. Number 2 I love their music so much. I know you did a bunch of vids. Maybe White Hot, or I Let It In And It Took Everything cover with Johnny?
Ive watched so many of these omg can you please do berried alive or polyphia?
What is the. Rand with the 9-stetring guitar ?
Abigail sounds just like an August Burns Red song
I can hear it haha

same
No guitar in drop D? Does this mean that you literally never play in e standard?
Yep haha
chad baena
I miss Old Motionless In White🥺🥺
(Emo / Post Hardcore)
🥺🥺🥺🥺
🤟🤟🔥
God that amp sounds so lifeless. Not bad for a micro but it kills the feel of these riffs. Your playing on the other hand is excellent as always
The riffs from Soft are SO heavy
How about meltdown, is that drop G?
And timebomb, is that drop F?
Idk just instinct from my ears
WHAT GUITAR IS THAT
I think "If it's dead we kill it" it's played in drop A
no sir
I remember seeing them in a 30 head show. They fucking killed it. Ps metal in public is awesome don’t be dinging that mate.
Highly doubt it's speaker sounds just as good for it's size.
Probably best with head/earphones.
no timebomb riff 😭💔
Bruhh you didn't even include the good riffs on Scoring the end of the World!!
Cause of Death, Burned 2 & Corpse Nation got some crazy ass riffs & breakdowns!!
I'd love the riffs in Thoughts & Prayers way more if my fingers didn't hurt halfway through the song
🅿🆁🅾🅼🅾🆂🅼
Commenting a idk what number comment this is but do more cod zombies covers :)
Slowly but surely, they became less riff based and more rhythmic based.
Motionless in white probably has good music i just cant get over the fact that they look like they overdosed a couple dozen too many times this week
