What IF...Charlie? King Pin gets his hands on a new form of the super soldier serum to up his game/healing factor. The quickest way between two points is a straight line & how you take Wilson Fisk from "Street Level (I ❤ That BTW!) Thanos" to Thanos level King Pin?
Oh and yeah. Spider-Man the animated series and X-Men the animated series were absolute fire! Even the F4, Iron Man and the Hulk had their own loosely connected series that came before both Spider-Man and the X-Men. Hawk Eye even wore the Wolverine like cowl if memory serves? So grateful we're gettin X-Men 97'

Since his first car door slam rant, Kingpin has been movie level ready. Big props to Vincent D'Onofrio for bringing his top tier acting to the role. Well deserved! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I couldn't be happier about Kingpin's role expanding. Vincent D'Onofrio is probably my favorite actor in all the MCU and he plays that character so phenomenally.
He's like the character come to life, isn't he? I thought that's how most of the actors were in Netflix Daredevil. Jessica Jones too.

I think they’ve realized that we need stronger connections to the characters, and the way they’ve been doing it hasn’t been working.
I have a feeling that Echo may be a pleasant surprise. Like Loki it looks far more into deep character motivation, not the silly surface stuff we got in She Hulk.

He’s their Ground-Level counterpart. If one were to wonder, “What would Doom or Thanos be like on ground level?”
The answer they should expect is: “You already have it: Wilson Fisk.”
This is EXACTLY what the MCU needs. The cosmic, world destroying threats easily being stopped leaves each threat like it’s no big deal, making the next thanos a street level threat shows that not every small villain is easy to take down.
Truly I’m excited to see Kingpin and Spider-Man to team up in the future , but yeah I’m excited that Kingpin is just a grounded level Thanos vibe villain for him in Phase 5

It makes sense why Marvel would want to position him in that way.
I’m honestly very happy that they aren’t just throwing the defenders stuff away. Having it as a past for these characters makes having seen those shows way more rewarding, rather than a full reboot.
So, they’re finally making Kingpin what he’s always been in the Daredevil and Spiderman comics. The biggest street level threat, directly dangerous, but also behind many other threats and villains. Considered Marvel’s version of Professor Moriarty (Sherlock Holmes’ mastermind of crime) before everyone knew about Thanos.
Kingpin is a bigger, tougher Lex Luthor. They serve the same role in their respective universes and it's great

As he should be! Kingpin is one of my all time favorite villains! He’s a BEAST! So glad they have the right actor portraying him.
To this day, the interaction when Kingpin was in jail and Matt Murdock came into the prison thinking he had the upper hand, but got his ass whipped and realized Kingpin’s tentacles ran further and were stronger than he imagined
I would say Daredevil would have the advantage when it comes to figuring out who Spider-Man is. Blind people tend to recognize voices quicker, and being that Matt's hearing and intellect is heightened already...
Also his scent, he'd probably pick up on that too.
But you're forgetting about Doctor Strange's spell Daredevil doesn't remember a thing about Peter Parker like everyone else so even when he hears Spider Man's voice all he'll know is that he's really young

I think what made Kingpin so scary was that they tried to hold off him getting his hands dirty. Sure, he’s absolutely massive and a unit of a villain both in the shows and the comics, but he lets others do his dirty work while his hands are clean.
In short, less is more.
Kinda like how Thanos was built up as a looming threat in the background. The major boss fights before him being just his lackeys, then he turns up in person and easily stomps Thor, Hulk, Loki and Heimdall. Just Boom! That's how a villain makes an entrance. Unlike Kang who just dies over and over and he's supposed to be scary?

Give Kingpin the super soldier serum, that was in falcon and winter soldier. It would level up Kingpin so he could be a physical threat to spider man
Kingpin is one my favorite marvel villains in the MCU I also seen him as a threat bc he’s jus that character who can be really scary and intimidating to other characters especially if they r street level I can’t wait to see Spider-Man, Daredevil, Echo, Punisher, Hawkeye Kate Bishop, and more bc this could be a banger but I hope they do have a Kingpin storylines especially with The Mob and Corruption around New York City in the MCU.

I could see Peter realizing Daredevil is Matt Murdock if he runs into Daredevil & DD catches something flying towards Spider-Man without looking like he did with the brick at his house.
I’m glad they kept the same actors. I think having Kingpin will definitely help flesh out the characters and their stories.

My dream to see Spider-Man vs Kingpin in Live Action, definitely a civil war between urban heroes is what I imagined for the fourth movie that could have a crossover

My favorite hero vs. hero conflict in the comics is the Sin-Eater story arc. The panel of Spiderman yeeting Daredevil out a window after being told if he wanted Sin-Eater, he'd have to go through him always makes me smile.

The idea of Daredevil, Punisher, and Kingpin in the next Spidey film is so exciting.
I really hope If Killgrave comes back that it is David Tennant (There was even a rumour a while back of him talking with Marvel) and that he tries to control Kingpin but it didn't work like in the comics.

Kingpin is terrifying and hardcore
Also Matt Murdock's abilities with voice and heartbeat recognition would make it easy to ID Pete as Spidey if he ever encountered him in/out of costume again. Personally I'd like some different villain that hasn't been done to death already, which is why I liked Spot in Spider-verse. I'd also like some add-on stuff for laughs like a 90s story where Grizzly and Gibbon were basically trying to be a bad version of Batman and Robin. It is purposely stupid but that's why it's funny (if it's done right).
I started Daredevil rewatch recently, reminding me why its on a completely different level when compared to D+ projects. I hope Born Again after the "story reboot" atleast tries to maintain those tones and motifs associated with the DD character.
I'm still hoping, now, to see some interaction between Norman Osborn, Tony Stark, and Wilson Fisk. And I'm wondering if Bullseye will be in the next Daredevil show.

My favourite Comic Book Villian.
Out of just the men he’s up there for me too. Spiderverse made me really appreciate the potential of the character more, I don’t really care for boots on the ground stories generally.
God I want to see the mayor Fisk storyline with this version of Kingpin. "I want to make this city something better than it is. Vote FISK."
Finally some good news, if it happens this way.
They need to use Scorpion already. They already set him up in the first film. It’s been 7 years at this point.
Whoever casted this KingPing character is a genious. My fav evil charachter in the MCU by far. D'Onofrio is so good.
If they’re planning to add more street level heroes in Spider-Man 4, it will be lit seeing these ppl teaming up to face up again the Kingpin.
@Emergency Awesome, The answer is simple Charlie. King Pen was in jail aftert DD put him there. In the slamer he meets Vulture, Doc-Oc and Matt Gargen (Scorpion). They hatch a plan to escape and King Pen uses his Off-Shore accounts to fund a laboritory for them to make Scorpion in his cybernetic costume who has the power to evade Spider Man's Peter-Tingle and can hunt Spider-Man at the same time King Pen hires a extreme hunter with from Africa named Kraven to also hunt Spider-Man. Vulture and Dr. Octopus break Rhino out of jail and make him a new suit as well and the three of them invade Dr. Conors's lab to steal stuff for the suits and Dr. Conors becomes The Lizard once again and decides to join them. Meanwhile, Punisher and Dardevil team up to bust some low-level drug pushers when they come across Venom and decide he's too much for them and DD goes to find Spidey to tell him about Venom all the bad guys start to attack Spidey and DD shows up and calls the Defenders to help Spidey out. That's a breif version of what I think will kinda happen :) Hope you all like it.
LOVE this. Rarely do you get a perfect actor for a role. This is one of those rarities. They need to use Kingpin as much as possible

Genius play in my opinion. Kang in itself is not really the problem with the MCU right now, it’s mainly just lackluster stories that arent self contained and lackluster characters. And to give them time to kind of re-organize what’s going on especially after the verdict, we need a distraction. Kingpin is the perfect fucking distraction, and one that can actually bring a lot of value back to the MCU. we also need a street level, somewhat darker side of the MCU that holds weight and this is how you do it in my opinion. Put an emphasis into Spider-Man, kingpin, daredevil, among others that don’t need avengers level threats to be cool and have cool stories behind them. if it’s done well it’ll definitely bring some eyeballs back, and if we can get a solid lineup for the new avengers everything will be peaches and cream. Finish kang, bring in doom and the fox universe, and maybe find a way to bring some legacy characters back with new actors, and they will be rolling in money

Kingpin needs to be the one to configure a Sinister Six! I can even see him teaming up with Dr. Doom. Dr. Doom would be the one controlling the strings and supplying Kingpins Henchman with super human stopping technology! Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman swings right into part four from that jump into the Christmas season like the last movie! Every movie so far went right into the next one and I hope they keep the stories rolling like that. Very unique to Tom Holland’s Spiderman right now!!
I know it’s unrealistic but I wish that they would keep the same violence from the Netflix Daredevil shows in Spider-Man 4
Spider-Man 4 will definitely be PG-13. So I wouldn't expect it to go any harder than spider-man movies have in the past.

@@davidletarte214if marketed as a Venom film where Spider people happen to show up, then yes. But we won’t ever be getting an R or MA Spider-Man solo focused film directly because the majority of the fan base for the character is not as old as the Venom or Carnage fanbases. They aren’t the ones getting King in Black, they’re streaming the Spidey cartoons which are the sweet spot kid demo of like 6-16, with the cherry on top being older men, and then with the variants they really tapped into a usually ignored potential: more characters means you can then have the more adult Spidey themed stories, it just won’t be 616 Peter, that’s the compromise.
Nor do I believe that tone fits Peter or Miles or Cindy for that matter and those are our main players. Pg 13 is already pretty gritty tbh, it just can’t be crass or gorey which often leads to more creative solutions for shock value. I agree with you in a way though and really look forward to this next set of Venom movies because of this discussion
beyond any future team ups, Spider-Man 4 NEEDS to be a solo movie peter parker NEEDS some character development, hes been a happy go lucky kid on screen for 6 years we need a little maturity, hopefully kingpin will offer that but im not optimistic

They need to introduce more street level vilians so Kingpin will have a group of his own to counter the amount of street level heros that will be going up against him... perfect time to introduce the Sandman in the MCU for realz this time
More street level villains in general really. The MCU constantly raising the stakes for their heroes from saving the planet, to saving the galaxy, to saving the universe, to saving the multiverse, doesn't make for more interesting stories, it just diminishes any heroism or sacrificed involved. At a certain point, anyone with their powers would do the same thing because it's the only thing TO do, so what's so special about them?

They should really slow things down and chill out on the huge cosmic level events because it makes the heroes that's not on that scale look smaller plus they will have to keep recycling the ones that are known for dealing with those big threats and that in a way shrinks the MCU compared to the amount of characters that they have to play around with
When I first saw Thanos's fights, I always see him above Kingpin's level.
During lockdown I rewatched the Animated Series. And it is so good. And yeah, Kingpin is the most prominent there.

I am soooo looking forward to seeing street level Thanos as Wilson Fisk. He's always was this way to me! Lol
I’ve said this elsewhere, but I have a cool idea for how to use him in Spider-Man 4. Fisk is running for mayor and wants to get rid of the vigilantes that would put an end to his crime syndicate. Jonah Jameson decides to throw his support toward the Kingpin after hearing his speech, and helps a recently released Mac Gargan become the Scorpion. Remember, Spider-Man helped get him locked up and he was in that post credit tag asking the Vulture for SM identity, so he has revenge in mind. In the comics, Jameson was responsible for helping to create the Scorpion so that could be an accurate take for the movie. Then we see Spider-Man and Daredevil with their hands full trying to stop two villains, but the Kingpin gets away and keeps his campaign going. Thats my idea for the story. Echo and DD would obviously tie directly into it since both shows are showing the rise of the Kingpin.
A “street level Thanos” is what Kingpin has kind of always been, right?… so that’s pretty accurate
We still need a live action Norman Osborne for this version of the universe. IIRC Osborne and Fisk did a lot of dirty stuff together in the Spider-man comics and that was even more prevalent in the 90's cartoon series. I hope they do something similar soon.
actually an amazing idea from marvel great actor everyone loves all these ground level guys and the perfect person to partner with and tie in with the thunderbolts/ vals team I see really cool tie ins that can be made here

I really hope that Kingpin will be the big bad if Spider-Man 4 & Charlie Cox's DareDevil will be in it n a big way. I love Spider-man the animated series, & is the definitave Spider-man for me. Kingpin should be a secondary villain in Spidey 4. Have Spidey team up with Daredevil, and include some of the Defenders (Jessica, Luke, Frank) in smaller roles to go up against Mayor Fisk’s Enforcers (Scorpion, Prowler, Shocker, etc.) like a mini-Civil War event. To keep the hype levels from No Way Home while grounding the scope/scale to street-level, tech-less Spidey.
Have J.J. Jameson be a part of Peter’s personal life as a friendly and supportive figure and contrast that with him being a major Fisk supporter/donor and Spidey hater.
End the movie with a big throwdown between Fisk, Matt and Peter - where Fisk wins. Infinity War style. Setting up Peter’s darker route in the rest of the college trilogy and his symbiote arc starting in Secret Wars.
Can't wait to see Spider-Man making fun of kingpins size😂

Excited to see the contrast between the gritty DD and Punisher compared to MCU Spiderman. I can imagine punisher telling spiderman "get of kid, this isn't your fight"
I mean that’s exactly what Wilson Fisk should be. He has fights with DD, Spider-Man, Punisher, Defenders etc…. He is a rare scenario of one crime lord becoming the most powerful and influential in history. Think Al Capone in world full of advanced alien and superhero tech used for criminal enterprise. I hope they do these street level stories and characters justice.
The reason i love Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk more than Kingpin because i understand him, the reason he does what he does, why he does it, and seeing world through his point of view, thats why i loved Daredevil Season 1 alot, it showed Wilson Fisk's back story and his reason to be what he is, and how everyone just underestimate his mindset, i just hope we get to see more of him as well

For what superhero movies where back then, I liked the Daredevil film for what it was. You have to think movies back then were much lighter and matter of fact. Blade and Constantine were kinda head of there time.

I got to disagree. The averagers were willing to kill Thanos but the street level refuse to kill. Kingpin could be taken out anytime but no one wants to. Not even punisher

King Pin is not a threat in the conventional sense. He's the kind that manipulates things like Lex Luthor and hires villains like him as well. He's not as smart as him but he plays the chess board exceptionally well and has soldiers. Street level Thanos, is not it. He doesn't have to slam you through a wall, but after finding out who you are he can raise the lease on your apartment after 'advising' the Land Lord to raise it. He'll either buy your friends or use their secrets to turn them on you and even if you do manage to win he'll come out looking squeaky clean and you the villain. He uses the system and bends it to his will. He's a good villain because he's in effect the corrupt politician that we all know exist.

The Kingpin is absolutely terrifying as a character. He literally has his hands in everything. This is going to be amazing. Reminds me of the animated series
