    We often take the natural beauty that surrounds us for granted. Thank you for allowing your viewers to pause with you as you took in the stunning scenery around you. What an incredible space! I've always wanted to visit Skye & Outer Hebrides, but for now I'll have to be content to live vicariously through your lens.

    Always loved your videos. Almost all of them. But the experiences in which you go camping is really something else. We can clearly see the pure joy you feel when you discover epic locations to camp and shoot. The first video of yours that got me hooked was your Isle of Skye trip. More please!!

    Hi Thomas! I must admit that every day when I come back from the office, and I'm quite demoralised, you allways transver me such energy, revitalise my will for landscape photography and push me to go on! I allways love to check your work before I go to sleep and thanks to you my brain start thinking where to go next, what to choose for shooting, composition, your tips, planing and so on... Keep going, dont stop and if you will ever want to come to visit Croatia, to descover some interesting locations, you are allways wellcome!!!😊😊😊🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍Give me a call!! Thx!

    Loved the video, brought back memories of last year when my mate Andy and I camped beside the 'old' bothy at Camasunary Beach in an attempt to climb Sgurr na Stri. Beaten back by a storm and spent a wild night in the tent. I eventually managed to camp on top of Sgurr na Stri two weeks ago at Easter, it was a magical experience waking up to the sun striking the Cuillin mountains.

    Just discovered your videos , Tom and I have to say you're an inspiration to any would-be landscape photographer along with the more experienced ones too !
    I took up photography after becoming disabled in 2011 so am unable to get to the more out of the way places such as yourself - however living up here on Skye I get more opportunities than most - the biggest problem I have is motivation but having watched your videos I can feel it coming back , thanks , mate .

    Great use of the elements Tom, with a lack of colour in the light, you used the beautiful curve of the creek to draw the in the eye nicely. I also liked the choice you made not to go with the polariser. It really helped make that feature standout. This looks like a gorgeous location that you could probably come make to time and time again. Looking forward too seeing the rest of the trip, thanks for sharing mate!

    • @ThomasHeatonPhoto
      @ThomasHeatonPhoto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks a lot. The lack of polariser made all the difference and the location was a great one, you can just keep going and exploring past the bay and over those mountains. You just need more time.

    "Who cares if this image is any good; look where I am!" I have proclaimed something very similar many times myself. Nature photography is a spiritual experience and at the end of the day, if you managed to get a nice image to show for it, then that is a nice prize to go along with your experience.

    Another great video Tom!! One of the best things I have done in the past year is to wild camp in combination with photography! (Your fault! I was inspired and motivated by you Place Fell video)
    You're in the best possible place at the best possible time with the best possible light to take a great picture! Further more staying out in the landscape tunes your body and your thoughts in to the wilderness and I truly believe it shows in the end photo. It has mine and it most definitely does in yours! Keep up the great work!!

    IDEA!! Hey Thomas I think it is great when you speak about knowing the difference between when you need a polarizer and when it would actually be a bad idea. It would make a great piece of content to show the difference between the same shot with and without a polarizer and explaining it in post with your example. Anyway love the videos, keep it up!

    Hi Thomas, I just want to say amazing what you have done with your photography and youtube. You are like, some kind of photography motivator, your words are poison! And I thank you for that.
    And if you want more STUNNING and PHENOMENAL view for landscape photography, and to add some tropical taste, why don't choose Indonesia (if you ever heard) as your next trip? seriously you'll say STUNNING way more often than in your whole previous videos. I'd love to have you n my country and I'll definitely see you here. Cheers!

    I spent 7 weeks of my life in the Strathaird Peninsula of Skye in 2012 doing my Undergraduate Geological mapping. Fell in love with the whole stretch of Skye from Elgol all the Way to Camasunary. Glad you avoided the attacking seagulls in the cliffs to the south! They would have stolen your drone.
